Man jailed for rape in Canning Town

[JAILED: Bodor Ahmed]

A man who threatened a woman with a knife before raping her in Tower Hamlets has been jailed for 14 years.

Bodor Ahmed, 27 (15.07.94), of Balmore Close, E14, was sentenced at Snaresbrook Crown Court on Tuesday, 30 November. He pleaded guilty to rape, threatening a person with a knife and sexual assault at the same court on 1 September 2020.

At around 22:20hrs on 19 July 2020, Ahmed approached a 29-year-old woman who was walking along St Ives Place after leaving Canning Town Underground Station. He threatened her with a knife before forcing her into a residential property.

Once inside the property, her raped and sexually assaulted her, despite repeated pleas from the victim for him to stop.

Police were called by a member of the public who had seen Ahmed threaten the woman outside the building. Officers arrived and found the woman who was extremely distressed. They arranged specialist care for her.

Ahmed attempted to get away through an underground car park, but was confronted by officers who were able to detain him. A large kitchen knife was found nearby. He was arrested and taken into custody before being charged the following day.

Detective Constable Roberta Burkin, who worked on the investigation, said: "Ahmed's actions were absolutely appalling. He armed himself with a knife before carrying out an unprovoked attack on a defenceless woman for his own perverse gratification.

FORTY-TWO people, including three women, have been charged with historic child sex offences over a 20-year period.

They are alleged to have been part of a widespread grooming gang that targeted children between 1995 and 2015.

They are accused of prostitution, rape, indecent assault and false imprisonment, with the alleged offences involving six female victims who were all children at the time.

The gang - aged between 41 and 83 - will appear at Leeds Magistrates court tomorrow.

They are mainly from the Kirklees area of West Yorkshire and acted in the Dewsbury and Batley areas.

The charges come as part of a massive police operation into historic child sexual abuse by so-called grooming gangs.

She told how the abusers acted with impunity because police, social workers and council bosses feared being accused of racism.

Abdul Elahi: 'Dangerous predator' blackmailed 2,000 victims and sold 'box sets' of abuse to paedophiles

Financially desperate women, including mothers at risk of losing their homes or feeding their children, were among those targeted by 26-year-old Abdul Elahi, who posed as a wealthy stockbroker online.

Abdul Elahi is due to be sentenced later this week

A serial online blackmailer targeted almost 2,000 victims to amass images of degrading sexual acts before selling "box sets" of abuse to other paedophiles, a court heard.

Abdul Elahi, described as "an exceptionally dangerous predator" in court, blackmailed some women and young girls into abusing a baby or sibling as he offered to pay off their debts with Bitcoin.

Around 550 females in Britain are believed to have been targeted by the 26-year-old, with almost 2,000 identified altogether in the UK and US.

Among those targeted on so-called "sugar daddy" websites were financially desperate victims, including mothers at risk of losing their homes or struggling to feed their children.

Predator committed crimes while subject to sexual risk order

The so-called "box sets" of abusive images and videos compiled by Elahi were distributed in vast quantities, the court heard, after girls and young adults were blackmailed into providing humiliating and degrading sexual material.

Elahi, formerly of Sparkhill, Birmingham, has admitted 158 charges committed against 72 complainants and is believed to have tried to exploit victims in 34 different countries.

Prosecutor Adrian Langdale QC said the offending spanned a three-year period from 2017 to 2019, with many of the offences committed while Elahi was on bail and subject to a sexual risk order.

Elahi also "acted as a mentor" to abusers, the court heard, with "copy-cat" offenders targeting some of his victims.

Blackmailer targeted victims as a way of making money

As his sentencing got under way at Birmingham Crown Court, Elahi was described as being "in a league of his own" in terms of the sheer scale of his offending.

Elahi could be "juggling" many tens of potential victims at any one time, Mr Langdale told the court, while using a fake persona to pose as a wealthy stockbroker offering financial assistance.

"The whole persona, the whole arrangement, was a sham from the very beginning," said Mr Langdale. "He simply, it would appear, saw his victims as a way of making money.

"Victims were targeted day after day, with no let-up from Mr Elahi."

Elahi treated blackmailing as a 'full-time career'

The prosecutor said Elahi had switched online conversations to WhatsApp to cover his tracks, with 67,000 indecent images of children recovered from numerous devices and cloud storage.

"There is evidence that he carefully structured and logged all of his material," he said. "He sold that material on with a clear financial motive, irrespective of the damage that he was causing by spreading this material."

During the offending, the court heard, Elahi was living in his family home and his only legitimate income was from working for a short period in a branch of McDonald's.

He saw his crimes as a "full-time career and occupation".

Elahi admitted a host of charges at previous hearings after an investigation by the National Crime Agency, and is expected to be sentenced later this week.

Retired TV producer found guilty of possessing indecent images of children

21 December 2021|News, International and organised crime

A retired BBC producer has been found guilty of possessing 832 indecent images of children, hundreds of which showed sexual acts involving children.

Victor Melleney, 76, was convicted on Friday (17 December, 2021) at Kingston Crown Court after the jury heard evidence from the Crown Prosecution Service over 4 days.

NCA officers had raided properties in Sheffield Terrace, Kensington, and Royal Crescent London, Holland Park, in 2018 to find the hard drives containing material shared between Melleney and other users.

They also discovered illegal stun guns belonging to Melleney, which he admitted to possessing at an earlier court hearing in February 2021.

Ruona Iguyovwe, of the CPS, said: “Victor Melleney knew he was in possession of indecent images of children. The search history of devices recovered during searches of Melleney’s home revealed downloads of images depicting sexual activity involving children. Examination of the electronic devices also revealed software which can be used by users in sharing indecent images of children.

“The hard drives, recovered from his home, his basement, and hidden in the pocket of a dressing gown he was wearing when he was arrested, contained sickening videos, part of a collection downloaded over years.

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
