We failed to help Afghan Sikhs in mass migration. The singh lawmaker in canada who passed away helped many of them. India also helped little bit but Sikhs in other countries should have sponsored them and use their political connection to bring them out of that hell hole country.

Makes you think: If we had our own country (and it wasn't corrupt) we could have sent some soldiers in a plane or helicopter to whisk any Sikhs there away.

women of Afghani origin are scared for their futures and have said the new areas have been told to surrender their unmarried betiaan and vidwa etc . It is only a matter of time when they will try to cnvert the remaining sikh women and men . Sirsa may be fooled by reassurances of Taliban but we know how many people have been killed or driven out of tribal areas by their dodgy policies. One warlord may be honurable but if he gets killed as it often the case the regime change means open season again on minorities. Kabul is now taken by Taliban ... and the cowards abandoned their wives and children to try and fly away on last remaining flights out of the airport , US troops had to shoot at the crowd to allow the plane t take off , resulting in five deaths . I can well believe the stories behind their menfolk wearing salwar and chadoor because they wanted to sneak away from Hari Singh Nalwa's army. It is shameful conduct

You're bang on the ball there. I heard from quite a few sources that originally, under Taliban leader Mullah Omar, Sikhs were respected and protected. I think he had some love for the Sikhs in the country. I think he was a reluctant leader though. Someone compelled into the role after the havoc of the warlords. 

But yeah, as soon as someone else comes in, there is no telling. 

A lot like the big and sudden shift between Akhbar the great and Jahanghir the fudhu visa vis our Gurus.

Something to be learned from these pathan talibans by our people. These are the same guys our sardars clashed with. They haven't changed much and still have a country.
