Interesting that the fresco is not in Panjab or NWFP. 

 

From what I can find, it looks like Raja Suchet Singh was a Dogra from Jammu and Kashmir whose brothers were  Gulab Singh and Dhian Singh.

Yeah......

That battle must've been very significant for Suchet to have it immortalised like this.

It was a vaar written by Missar Hari Chand and was included in these many pictures published by Kashi House in a tweet.

Now all the elected Sri Akal Takht Jathedar is good for is making statements on television, and chilling with the Badals/SGPC. Those were the days when the Jathedar of the panth used to be on the frontlines leading the Khalsa Fauj. Imagine the inspiration of the Fauj seeing that your leader is fighting alongside you. The panths so called "leaders"  just send the naujawans to get killed while they sit back.
