What does everyone predict will happen in terms of geopolitics?

Will US and UK send soldiers back ?

That's a hard one. I think I agree that the west would want to do what MisterSingh outlined. I think this loss has stung whitey's ego/pride and their whole bullsh1t 'saviour' complex. Moneywise as well, this has turned out be a massive black hole for US finances. Can the west, in this day and age really afford such ventures?

Some other questions need to be asked and answered. Can Afghanistan generate money? Who knows? But they have at least heroin. Which has a global market. Then we've seen China and Russia quickly acknowledge the new rulers. China would probably do what they are doing in Africa, in terms of rapid infrastructure development. That would make them (both parties) even stronger in terms of allies in the region. With both paks and afghs on board China will dominate the region. Afghans can sell the captured american tech (like helicopters) to Russia too, which would analyse them for weaknesses.

Afghanistan will have to operate with multiple intelligence forces trying to destabilise it, esp. UK and US.

I expect some of these fighters to turn up in Kashmir soon too. I think this will have impacts on India sooner or later.

Imagine If the commander was a phai instead he most probably would have replied: " Sirrr you guys were marvellous, absolutely fantastic, genius, too good sirr too good."

I know. It's so true. That's why we are very far from winning any wars as a panth right now. Too much childlike thinking, and sadly I think it's genetic/biological in some quarters.

The goray would probably be welcomed like this......lol

I was listening to a BBC interview with a Talibani spokesman a few days ago. He was throwing in words like "inclusivity", "diversity", and all these other contemporary progressive buzzwords, and I'm mentally applauding the guy and whoever designed their current media profile, because they know how completely feminised and weak the West has become, and these Talibanis have adopted the vernacular of Western media to push ISLAMISM! The balls on them, lmao. Fair play. Use the progressive West's bakwaas against them. Genius.

I suppose the west would be a better place if it was not "inclusive." I'm sure you would love to live in a society that does not accommodate your minority beliefs, background, and way of life.

Dude, you should f**k off from america and live somewhere else. The place seems to be messing your head up.

These forums are filled with short-sighted people who spend most of their time rehashing right wing talking points because they are annoyed that some minority group that they don't like is being accommodated.

These people are apparently too dimwitted to understand that they themselves are part of a tiny minority group whose beliefs most people would consider bizarre and fringe.

Why are you people so stirred up by your hatred/dislike/distaste/intolerance for various groups? Why are you more inspired by these feelings than by feelings of love and acceptance? And even if you are a sad person who is more inspired by feelings of resentment and hate than you are by love, shouldn't you at least by rational enough to understand that you are part of a tiny, fringe minority and it is in your self-interest to promote a society that is inclusive and tolerant?

Let's not think for one moment the U.S. and other intelligence services aren't feeding the Taliban with certain bribes, inducements, and rewards for doing what these Western powers require even after this takeover / hand-over. The harsh religious lifestyle of Taliban types of all religions, as always, will have to be endured by the people while the leadership has hundreds and millions of dollars funnelled to their bank accounts. This "U.S. is foolish and stupid under Biden" narrative sweeping the world for the past few days is pure fantasy and theatre. They know what they're doing.

So true. Biden,Trump,Obama,Bush were never the shotcallers. They are just frontmen for the real powers that be. Disraeli in Conningsby had hinted the true rulers of Europe were much different from what the masses perceive.

The taliban thing has lots of potential for america. Once a rightwinger gets in power again, he's got a ready made war, with a hard nationalistic battle cry to mobilise the rednecks.

That all being said, left alone long enough, it isn't impossible that the taliban start to actually negotiate a more modernised country - albeit on their own terms.

That's what honkys don't like, they like to impose their stuff. They don't like other people taking it on board in accordance to their own heritage/cultural moorings.

I have no doubt this could get messy again as soon as it suits some ar5eholes agenda. Team America and that....

In the world of realpolitik no one really cares about human rights.

It is best to see things for what they are, rather than we would like it to be.

Back in 2020, Trump had talks regarding withdrawal from Afghanistan and if I am correct US officials had discussions with the Taliban (they likely knew that Taliban would take over). The US always works in it's own interests and it seems that being in Afghanistan is no longer in it's interests. It seems that the nation building or resource extraction or whatever the US was trying to implement was futile and after 20 years they decided enough was enough. They probably knew they would have to withdraw one day but it wouldn't be pretty.

What has happened with them leaving is that all the Afghan nationals who worked with the US are likely to be targetted by the Taliban. However, the Afghans (Pathans I should say) who were not working with the US are either very pleased with the Taliban or could not care less. it seems that it is mainly the non-Pathans like the Tajiks, Uzbeks, Hazaras and the urban Kabul elite that may be pissed off because they have been left high and dry by the US.

Who are the parties that will be happy that the Taliban are back:

-Pakistan: they helped to create the Taliban and if they still have control over them then it works to their advantage. They will work with the Taliban to cause trouble for India.

-China: It benefits them because it gives them a presence there and they can mine the trillions of dollars of Lithium and are other natural resources. There are also oil and gas pipelines that can be transmitted through Afghanistan and be part of China's belt and road initiative. Pakistan has the Karokam Highway that goes all the way from China to Gwadar in Pakistan so Pakistan and Afghanistan will be linked up and Pakistan will be a partner with China. China does not really care about regime change and are not looking to change anything in Afghanistan.

The countries that will not be too happy that Taliban are back but want US to basically f*** off:

-Iran: Being a Shia country, they have keen interest in Shia populations all over the world and their welfare. They are not too happy with Taliban because Taliban are Sunni and they hate the Shia. The Hazara group in Afghanistan are Persian speaking Shias (they are originally mongols/turkic). The taliban may gun for the Hazaras. However, Iran are axis of evil and are good chums with China and Russia but they are not so friendly with Pakistan. However, they will be glad the US will not have presence on their eastern border.

-Russia: They have had history with Afghanistan and Muhajideen back in the 80's when they were the Soviet Union. They also had problems with Islamic terrorism with Chechens being trained up in Afghanistan, particularly when the Taliban was last in power so they will be quite vigilant. However, they will also be glad that US will be gone from that part of the world.

Countries that really have to be worried:

-Central Asian Republics: Countries like Tajikistan/Uzbekistan/Turkmenistan because the Taliban will be on their doorstep.

-India: because Pakistan will forment more trouble.

What could potentially happen is that China, Russia, Pakistan, Iran and the Central Asian countries will work with the Taliban to keep Afghanistan stable (whatever that means) and build the infrastructure and to some degree integrate them into their economic plans. If you notice one thing, all these countries largely totalitarian dictatorships and they surround Afghanistan on all flanks.

What could also happen is that the US is fuming secretly with China particularly with Covid which has meant that China has stolen a march on them. By withdrawing from Afghanistan and having Iran/Russia/China there, they may forment trouble there through insurgency

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
