5 types of Sikhi in Sau Sakhi

1) ਧੰਧ - ਪੈਸੇ/ਧਨ ਕਮਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਕੀਤਾ ਕੰਮ। Something done for earning money/wealth

 

2) ਦੇਖਾ ਦੇਖੀ -   imitatively, following or copying the vogue of some particular person; monkeying.  

 

3) ਹਿਰਸੀ -  ਹਿਰਸ (ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ) ਵਾਲਾ. ਲਾਲਚੀ. desirous, ambitious, greedy, covetous, avaricious, avid; sexy, lascivious, lecherous. 

4) ਸਿਦਕੀ - ਸਿਦਕ ਵਾਲਾ. ਸ਼੍ਰੱਧਾਲੂ. faith, belief, trust; contentment; patience.

 

5) ਭਾਵ - ਪਿਆਰ, ਪ੍ਰੇਮ। 2. ਚੰਗੇ ਖਿਆਲ। 3. ਭਵਿਖ ਕਾਲ, ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਸਮਾਂ। 4. ਹਾਵ ਭਾਵ, ਨਖਰੇ। underlying meaning or idea, import sense, drift of thought; gist, purport; purpose, object; feeling, sentiment, emotion, passion, sensibility, affection.

My wife and Ma were forced into Amritdhari jeevan. Ma had gave it up my wife's in n out. Some fools bewkoof moorkhs think it's ok to enforce Amrit on others. 

DISCLAIMER: I know this is talking about Sikhism and not necessarily Amrit.

Why anyone would be Sikh for money is beyond me, considering we don’t have any actual political power.

Sau Sakhi was written when Sikhs had a lot more political and financial power than now. That might explain it. 

And I'm pretty sure, if we ever get back to being the powerhouse we were not long ago, we'd definitely get people who'd become Sikhs for financial advantages. It's the nature of a lot of people.

Lots of people from both AKJ and Damdami Taksal seem to give full Khand-Di-Pahul to babies.
