I think they were essentially abused out of the panth.

I got more respect for people who f**k people off those who try and abuse them, than those who stick around and tolerate it, like an abused wife with low self-esteem.

Abused out of the Panth? The biggest dispute is over their referring to Bhagat Ravidas as Guru Ravidas. If every Sikh 'caste' did that then There would a Guru Dhanna for the Jats, Guru Kabir for the Julahas, Guru Mardana for the Mirasis etc.

When someone leaves the Panth like the Ravidassia it is more likely to be because they have become assertive rather than oppression.

How have you come to that conclusion ?

I know from others what 'jatts' have been like/are like in treating/attitude towards 'Ravidassia'

It's a direct result of it.

Those people who went to Africa started acting exclusionary like juts were.

You really don't have a clue apart from the tedious Jats bad non-Jats good narrative. Everything bad that these non-Jats do is directly a result of what the Jats do to them. Apparently these non-Jats are just like children, they have no agency of their own and they are not responsible for their actions.

I don't blame them. If you let some juts in, they'll try and make a grab of all resources and bring their own biraderi in.

I think this applies to any 'caste' if they get some power.

Singh Sabha Gurdwaras are essentially jut Gurdwaras that don't have the bollocks to openly admit it.

I don't think it's a hidden secret, so no one needs to 'admit it'. But yes, 'Singh Sabha' in UK means controlled by 'jatts'

So I assume you will be going to the local Ramgarhia Gurdwara and demanding that they change the name of their Gurdwara because more that any Jat, these Ramgarhias are actually naming their Gurdwaras after these caste and only Ramgarhias can become members of their committees.

From speaking with my parents, it was due to conflict with jatts that meant the Ramgarhia community wanted to form their own Gurdware where they could be in charge. Not sure, but might have been around the time the African Sikh community came to the UK -  @dallysingh101 Ji can prob tell us more.

Basically, both sides are as much to 'blame' for this situation, and it underlines that our community is very divided.

@dallysingh101 @shastarSingh

what do you think of the Shehar vs Pind divide in India ? I'm not just talking about Khatri vs jatt, I mean the traditional pind communities like Shehri vs Pindu  jatt and  Shehri vs Pindu Tharkhans ? I remember that my urban-living cousin in Punjab was getting married, and he was hesitant about inviting pind-based ristedaar to all of his parties as they would look/act differently to the shehar-based ones (and not in a 'good way').

So, it's not just caste-based divisions, but Indians and Punjabis easily divide themselves.
