Ashmeet Singh the 28th teenager killed in London this year

A 16-year-old boy who was stabbed to death in a residential road in Hounslow has been named as Ashmeet Singh.

The teenager was found suffering fatal knife wounds in Raleigh Road on Wednesday evening.

He is the 28th teenager to be killed on the streets of London this year, one away from a peak of 29 teen homicides in 2008.

Friends believe Ashmeet was stabbed over a fake Gucci pouch he always wore.

“His friends are all saying he was stabbed over this Gucci bag, it wasn’t even real. It’s terrible.

The 14-year-old, described as an “angel” by his parents, self-presented at hospital with stab wounds but died a short time later.

Friends revealed that Ashmeet did part-time jobs to care for his disabled mother, who lives above a shop close to where her son was killed.

Daljit Singh said: “He was a very good friend. It’s so sad.

“He was caring for his mother, he worked very hard doing part time jobs...what he could. He was always doing shopping for her. He was very good to her.

“She was crying outside this morning. All over a Gucci bag that’s not worth anything.”

  • Premi5 changed the title to (Sad news) Sikh boy stabbed to death in Hounslow

I've heard of thieves, attackers, etc., scoping out potential victims and their belongings based on what people display on their social media accounts. Another reason to add to the ever-expanding list of why to be very careful what you put up on the internet.

Amen bro. No Kirpan?

Makes no difference if the culture around wearing the kirpan doesn't even insist on its use in these threatening situations. It's become a symbol more than anything practical, not that the young Singh was baptised and would therefore be wearing one.

Well bro...better to have a Kirpan and the will to use it than a fake gucci bag.

Now that is too crazy for someone to start the GoFundMe gathering such large money amount without getting the name of the person correct. 😐

Good eye. Apparently...

Today

We now have verification by the family members that the 16 year old Sikh boys name is actually 'Rishmeet Singh' not 'Ashmeet Singh' which was incorrectly reported in the news articles & The Evening Standard newspaper that we shared.
