It is taken from general Brar 's autobiographical accounts of events in june 1984 so I would take this as gospel because there is no reflection of glory onto himself , it makes him look like an amateur in front of Sant ji

I think the dushmani began before Sant Jarnail Singh was even Jathedar, when Sant Kartar Singh during a Gurpurab mentioned how Indra Gandhi was lower than Guru Sahib and she became offended.

think about it , if he faltered  the GOI would destroy the sikh panth's soul by parading this fact , you can't kill a movement by killing the participants but by killing the faith in the ideology
