This is more pointed towards Dally. If a Sikh man was called a… idk, a raghead or terrorist or whatever slur they use and he punches the person to the point of death then I would also literally say the same thing. The sentence shouldn’t be that high but obviously there needs to be a punishment.

I don't think this guy, working a proper shyte job at Dunkin Donuts had any intent to kill a racist old coot that day. This is not premeditated murder.

Plus I grew up around race attacks, so you can consider me an expert of sorts. I know a few people (who are middle aged now), who when younger, would fight back and attack racists - this sometimes involved bats, knives etc.

Okay, they never retaliated against anyone that old, but........ and how much of an ar5e is the old gora, that he does this when all that BLM stuff is going on, and race is such an incendiary topic in the US right now?

When I was a teenager I met a gora skinhead who 'accidently' killed someone like this in a scuffle outside a chip shop - he got three years for it. I think this guy should get two years max for involuntary manslaughter.

For the record. When those of us who understand hear a story like this told, we just start shaking our heads...make sharp inhaling noises..hang our heads...we get to the part where Corey for example punches the dude and we say "Coreyyy...noooo..bro..." Because we know he's right in a lot of ways and we know what's going to happen to him one way or another before we even hear the rest of the story.

One on one with my younger brothers I always tell them they can't be Corey, that no matter how right it is, we can't afford to lose them over some dumb <banned word filter activated>. So there's a lot of talk of emotional intelligence, coping mechanisms, and a lot of encouragement and reinforcement of what is Right and what is real right now.

I will in fact use Corey as an example to not be Corey moving forward.

AND at the same time, not individually advised, but on the mass scale, I fully support a system whereby people are held directly accountable for their mouth and actions.

If you have a friend that runs their mouth, what you tell them? Keep going and some day somebody is going to rightfully paste you one and you'll have it coming. And you'd be right. And it should be that way sometimes until it doesn't have to be that way.

I got to say as well. The word p#*i, had serious power to hurt when I was younger.  It's not like that any more for me.

I feel empowered by the fact that I wouldn't have to feel what I might have when younger on hearing that word. Which is becoming increasingly more likely.

Can only imagine how much more charged it is for a forcibly enslaved, raped people, who are still denied justice and tried extrajudicialy, and ironically, feel the weight of legal "justice" much heavier than others, when they live to see court.

End result is the same, individually they have to overcome it and get over it, but as a group or as a mass dynamic we have to respect the forces at play.

Trust me if you punch an already racist man it doesn’t change anything,

Well, people physically f**king racists up made the streets safer when I was younger. I'm glad they did it. I very occasionally still meet some of the people who did this (they aren't all angels).  The alternative of constantly dodging racist abuse and attacks is no way to live, and that's what these pseudo-nazis aim for.

Scaring the basterds into thinking twice about racially abusing someone is not a bad thing. If you analyse it, racists are exactly about trying to physically and psychologically beat down a person to accept an inferiority complex.   When they actually pull this off, it further reinforces the racist's belief that they are superior and the other person a lesser being, hence their 'natural' domination.

And these battles look like they are going to take place again here in ingland. But don't worry about all of that princess - just make sure your make up is on point and you're wearing a pretty dress......

Different source, interesting

The office of Hillsborough State Attorney Andrew Warren said in a statement Friday that prosecutors were moving forward with the manslaughter charge.

“The charge of manslaughter is legally appropriate because Pujols intentionally punched the victim without legal justification, and the victim died as a result,” the release said.

According to police and prosecutors, the incident began when Cook, a regular customer at the restaurant on 410 S 50th St., began berating the staff over the service he was getting in the drive-through lane. After being told to leave several times, Cook parked and came inside. As he was entering, Pujols, the on-duty manager at the time, told one of his coworkers to call the police.

Once inside, Cook approached the counter and continued to argue with Pujols, who remained on the opposite side of the counter, separated by a waist-high swinging door, approximately six feet away from Cook. During the argument, Cook called Pujols the n-word.

Pujols then slowly walked forward through the swinging door to come face-to-face with Cook and, with his hands at his side, warned the Cook not to say that again. Cook repeated the racial slur, and Pujols immediately punched him in the jaw, which caused the victim to fall and hit his head. Pujols then slowly walked away from him.

Cook died in the hospital three days later.

Warren’s statement acknowledged Cook’s speech was “highly inflammatory” but still legal and “does not justify violence.”

The charging document does not include Cook’s date of birth, but he appears to be the same man who made headlines in Tampa Bay in the 2000s when he was arrested and convicted on charges that would require him to register in Florida as a sexual offender. He was born in April 1944.

Police said Cook enticed teen boys into his home with comic books, video games and candy. He then used the boys for his pornographic fantasies, including filming himself performing sex acts with a 16-year-old boy, police said. At the time of his arrest, Cook told reporters that he was not guilty, saying there was no evidence the photographs were child pornography.

Cook was sentenced in 2008 to five years in prison for a range of charges including lewd and lascivious battery on a child, using a child in a sexual performance and several counts of unlawful sex with a minor. He was released in 2011.

"Fear for your life" justifies shooting unarmed people in the back thouh, according to law enforcement. I'd say Corey had reason to fear for his safety. And racially verbally abusing someone is a crime in all 50 states. Cops don't deal in law they deal in policy and orders.

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
