How do i stop getting my hair cut every month??

Gur Fateh Ji,

I want to become a true sikh and not one just in name and want to follow my 5 kakaars.

But for that i have to stop getting my hair cut every month and i feel apprehensive about difficulties i will face in growing my hair.

Can someone help me with the journey or more preferrably who has gone through this process before??

People say there are lots of difficulties but really there isn't. Basics to know is to motivate yourself to keep kesh think of shaheeds like Bhai Taru Singh. Comb your hair twice a day and try to wash your hair every few days or sooner

Bro. First of all fantastic and congratulations. As much as you think you want this, the fact is Guru Ji wants it for you. You're being chosen to grow Kesh. 

It's easy. Once your damas dies in waves lol. 

It's our stuck mind that's the difficulty. Growing Kesh is as easy as it gets otherwise. Like. Shipwrecked? Welcome to Keshdhari. 

Like @Arsh1469 said just make sure you wash and detangle twice a day or more. Have some hair oil from india, it's legit the best by far. You'll want a Kanga of course but you may also consider a boar bristle brush. 

Remember never brush wet. It damages your Kesh. Never comb dry. It damages your Kesh. So detangle wet, leave some oil in and if after it's dry you want to brush it out, go ahead. 

Dhari will itch like crazy but only during a couple brief initial phases. After a few days of itching at certain lengths it gets long enough to be soft. 

Oh and don't use harsh soaps on your Kesh. Just rub your skin beneath clean and condition the kesh.
