People mainly Bhappas using Kartarpur corridor for shopping

I don't think aroras were ever some warrior caste.

I feel lots of bhappaa castes of today were never some warriors.

Even in jatts, grewals were originally rajputs but today are jatts.

Many non jatts hv started using jatt surnames.

So surnames and castes can be tricky.

I mean in Sikhi, every “caste”, should be Shastardhari, Mazbhai Sikhs are also warriors despite not being a warrior caste.

I completely agree 100%.

Simran and gurbani removes our fear and gives us strength to fight against injustice.

A sikh who doesn't has fighting spirit means 2 things

1. Either his simran or bhagti is less.

2. Or he does bhagti for Maya purposes like many of our granthis and Sikhs of today do.

This happens everywhere. One of the main markers of 'modern living'  is that the people contract out their right to self defence and their personal and family safety to the police and the state. This is how the elites have managed to make the people powerless. This is why in the USA, the liberals want to take away the right to gun ownership because they know an armed populace can never be beaten into submissive liberal types who the elites can control with ease. In the rural areas, the people tend to deal with any problems without the involvement of the state and the police.

I think a good comparison can be made with the Sikhs who live in Nanded, who have more Hindu population, different customs to the local culture, along with many people open to marrying Hindus. But they keep shastars which ultimately made nanded one of the few areas where there was no 1984 retaliation.

Most Keertanis are from the 'Bhappa' 'castes', I think @shastarSingh?

I do notice 'Bhappas' have different facial features than rural Sikhs. They often have bigger eyelids and /or more oriental-looking eyes compared to rural Sikhs

I don't know if people who watch Bollywood think all Sikhs are like the ones they see in Film ?

Anyone able to give a breakdown of what 'castes' the Bhappe actually are? I mean, are they just Khatris and Aroras , or are there other 'castes' they share with urban Hindus ?

Look, even Guru Sahib's blood descendant, (Amitabh Bachan), has shown that he'd kill Sikhs for popularity, and that's only because some Bedis decided to intermarry with Hindus; if you are talking about genetics alone.

Jatts who live in urban areas aren't bhappa, nor have characteristics in common with them.

I know that well - what I mean is , clearly these people who have lived in urban areas for many generations, they are not jatt/tarkhaan/shimbe/nai/ghumiar/saini etc

Are they just khatri and Aroras ?
