sikh youth group

i am part of a sikh youth group we meet on a wednesday evenin 2 discuss any issue dat may affect as or that we want 2 talk abot.

whoeva i feel dat we r being lectured at n feel dat many people in the group feel like der r not able 2 speak openly.

this does not really affect me because i find it very easy 2 talk 2 people who i dnt really no.

but i have at times felt that i am looked down on by other members of the group because i have not took amrit. i dnt class my self on the same level as them howeva i go they because i want 2 take the first step towards learning abot sikhi and abot the past. i have been told u shut up countless times by members of the group.

i do enjoy goin 2 these meetings however i feel that im being jugded. mayb im jus being paro. the majority of the group have not took amrit, and i feel lik they is a divide. i dnt undastand coz me n some of the others r der because we want 2 learn and mayb in the future we may decide we r ready 2 take amrit. but i fink that it is pushin me away from sikhi rather than closer.

Don't worry about it, there are enuff people out there, who put you down, you just gotta keep following what you beleive in, maybe they're jealous .

I use to be a mona too, and when I spoke to other Singhs about Sikhi, they use to ignore me, or give me that look. I know its just hankar, alot of the Singhs these days have too much hankar in them, including myself, because hardly any of them are willing to do joray di sewa, or cleaning washrooms, this type of sewa washes away the hankar you have and brings you closer to Guruji.

Don't worry, just beleive in yourself, and follow the true path of Sikhi, with your love and devotion, they'll understand!!

I think, that you should only go to Guru Ji if you have any problem. Guru Granth Sahib. And not bother with the discusion group. From th Guru Granth Sahib you will get the right answer and nothing else.

we all hav vaheguru inside us we jst hav to find god within in u by doing simran. secondly it doesnt matter if u cant read punjabi u can get a translation of bani from da internet or u can even buy one of them gutke dat r translated into english.
