Can Sikhs wear jewellery?

I heard jewellery among women (and some men) was much more prevalent a century ago. Women used to have numerous piercings in ears (which is why old Panjabi ladies have stretched earlobes).

Yes as gold has many health benefits and the earlobes have alot of reflexology points connecting to the brain. Look it up. 

As Britain stole most of our gold, wearing fake jewellery didn't have the same appeal.

Of course maaan. The more bling the better. Gold chains, earings, nose studs. Diamond watches.

Wearing jewelry is not encouraged in our kaum. We have a lifestyle of saint and soldier. What is the purpose of wearing jewelry ? Saying it brings health benefits is same as saying earth is flat.
