If he did kill himself it was just so as not to give up control having lost. I doubt he gave 1 out of 6 million shits.

It just seems like a defence hidden behind numerical data that most people wouldn't take seriously. He is obviously his uncle's boyeee.

What about Jaswant Singh Khalra's murder? All the covert cremations he uncovered? Black cats etc. What about the umpteen families of ahhm pendus who 'disappeared'? The open confessions of PP about mass extra-judiciary executions? Even when it was all going on, you'd hear about rewards for the killing of certain 'high profile' militants with pictures of corpses, only for the actual militant to turn up a few years later? Whose body was it they were showing?     

It's obvious Hartosh had a close relationship with his psycho uncle (who probably hid his true self to him like they do). Just seems like plain old fashion cognitive dissonance to me. 

But it has to be said, some bad elements infiltrated the kharkus later on. By the looks of it they were either cops and/or criminal opportunists who didn't care for the cause and just wanted to use the kharku identity to hide their crimes.  Riberio himself states they used compromised crooks to infiltrate the movement. 

It really reminds me of that movie - Judas and the black messiah.
