Both sides are as bad as each other. Putin is an autocrat but that does not make the west right in trying to encircle Russia by trying to expand NATO in the former Russian satellite states. After the cold war ended NATO needs to justify its existence. It took part in the Afghan war because US invoked the article that an attack on one NATO member is an attack on every NATO member so that is why you had German, French and Dutch troops assisting the US in Afghanistan. 

Between two great political and military powers there has not be buffer states, not aligned with any of them and where each side understands that this status quo has to be maintained in order to prevent a war. Putin fears that Russia is being encircled and NATO's enlargement is seen as part of that plan. 

Ukraine also has large a Russian minority. The Russian birth rate has collapsed and the Russian population is in decline. In 1992 Russia reached a state where the birth rate was just enough to replace the population that was dying. Now the birth rate is less than the death rate so the population is in decline. The small tick up in the birth rate in the 2000s was due to Putin's efforts to give cash incentives to women to have more children. The chart below shows the there are nearly 16 deaths per 1000 of the population while there are only 9 births per 1000 of the population. 

Putin wants to annex the areas of Ukraine where the there are Russian minorities so that the population of Russia is increased. Russia has the resources and the land but not the people. If Russia is to survive as a country or even aspire to become a super power again it has to have a large population especially as its territories in the east border a China which has over 1.3 Billion in population. 

Russia also is seen  as a obstruction by the NWO and the western liberals and progressives. Their aim is to reshape every country in their own image of what it should be. They hate Russia because it has refused to become woke. The liberals hate strong leaders so they will now bow to the liberals' will.

Ukraine Crisis: Video goes viral where Sikh youth offers 'Langar' to people in train as they travel towards Polish border

True to their inherent humanitarianism, a group of Sikh youth could be seen in a video trying to help provide langar food to international students travelling on a train towards the Poland border from war-hit Ukraine.

The video was shared on Twitter by Khalsa Aid group CEO Ravinder Singh.

He wrote: " #Ukraine: Guru Ka Langar on a train These guys were fortunate to get on this train which is travelling east of Ukraine to the west (to Polish border ). Hardeep Singh has been providing Langar and assistance to many students from different countries.What a guy."

Putin is like the Tsarist of old and feels that the previous leaders made mistakes. 

He feels that he is rectifying these mistakes.

Ukraine is in some ways is a manufactured state. The Eastern part is Russian whereas the Western part comes from parts ceded by Hungary / Poland/ Romania etc.

There are also large Russian minorities in the Baltic States (Estonia/Latvia/Lithuania ) which also are NATO Members.

Having worked with many people from this part of Europe you come to realise that there is a lot of animosity between these groups. 

They make whatever we have in the subcontinent look like a picnic.

If China attacks India in the future from Nepal side, Indian naxalites will join Chinese army and Chinese army will also try to arm and give guns to 8-10 crore UP Muslims to fight against the Indian state.

What shud Sikhs do in this scenario?

Give langar to all armies involved in the conflict. 

Proper langar with daal and phulke, not cha da langar and pakore. Can't fight wars on simple fried food.

I'm pretty sure Putin feels resentment at the constant humiliation the west would put out when the soviet union collapsed (I remember it!). If I've got his mind set right, he'd want to get badla for that. I think that is part of all this too. 

Plus like said previous, who'd want a people historically known to swallow (aka annex) lands and cause disruption in others lands, creeping up behind their bhunds? I don't think he's got any option but to push them back. Like SIkhs should have violently pushed anglos back to bangladesh when they had a raj.

Steal and stockpile as much weaponry as possible.
