Importance of cows in Guru Ghar!

Recommended Posts

Sikhs don't worship cows but Sikhs love cows just as Sikhs love horses.

During Guru Arjan dev ji's time, a place was created where cows were taken care of. This place was called 'beerr". Baba Buddha ji lived and did sewa at this place. Gurwinder Singh nangli ji has written a book on brahm kavach and bhagauti astotar. It can be downloaded at gurmatveechar.com under steeks and teekas section. In the starting of this book, nangli ji explains about the importance of cows from Guru Nanak Dev ji's time to Guru Gobind Singh ji's time and thereafter. I m attaching screenshots from this book.

Not to be rude, but what are you trying to prove? Guru Har Krishan Sahib Ji, used to look after assortments of injured and hungry animals,  Guru Har Gobind Ji, told off a worker for injuring a bird and tended to wounded bird by bandaging a wing.

Sikhs love all animals but in Guru Ghar there is special place for cows and horses. After them, hawks and baaz and even elephants are also greatly loved. Nihangs also treat dogs very nicely.
