@kcmidlands is from Leicester and might know more

Leicester was the first British city to become majority non -white.

it has been known for a long time as a ‘Gujarati’ area but I think the Sikh community there is old also.

I don’t there were many Muslims there pre-2000, but seems that number is increasing.

I saw this yesterday morning and was heartbroken that this still goes on, i grew up with this kind of stuff in the 80's and hoped people were passed it.

@Premi5There are a lot of Sikhs in Leicester but not as many as you would think, the problem is the communities here are still very "self" orientated and don't show support for one another when this kind of thing happens, so far no one from the Muslin community has come out and condemned what has happened, they'll only do it when the local newspaper get's hold of it.

There was a really good turn out at the Gurdwara in support of these 3 young Singhs, the police have arrested 3 of the idiots that did this (they've been released on bail), the school they go to is part of a larger academy who run 3 schools in Leicester, my daughters go to one of them (not the same one), they'll be a lot of emails, letter's and phone calls going to the academy from parents this with asking them to explain how they allow this kind of thing to go on.

Remember what I said about apnay getting complacent or egotistical because of Moghul Darbar. These things usually don't just disappear after one incident.

This what they are told behind closed doors. No wonder they display such hatred towards us and yet our leaders never tire of showing solidarity with these people.

I have always said, we need Sikh-Sikh Bhai Bhai and not fake slogans like Sikh-Hindu Bhai Bhai or Sikh-Muslim Bhai Bhai. This is why I could not care less that their school girls are can't wear Hijab in Karnataka. Them having to fight this battle means that they are expending their time and resources so they have less time for their usual mischief. If the Hindus come after us after they have dealt with the Muslims then so be it, be strong and organise but don't lose time and energy on showing solidarity to these people, let them feel the heat.
