And yes four of the Panj Piare were non-Punjabi's which is something we need to educate the Indian public about.

Studying and getting a good job will enhance your chances of getting someone who's willing and able to support you. Otherwise you're just after a meal ticket as far as they're concerned and also vulnerable to exploitation and/or abuse at a later stage.

Nothing wrong with educating yourself. It's a good thing.

Loads of women who've been through really tumultuous oppressive relationships talk about how they put up with it because of financial dependency. Learn from that. Getting your skills up and giving your brain a little workout through studying is a good thing. Just don't fall for any sly romeo you might encounter on your travels.
