Things will get very interesting in Punjab in the coming decade. Rise of Islam and Christians who have become bold over the last 2 decades or so and dwindling number of Sikhs. Open attacks on Sikhi will rise.

You can expect:

- Rising number of Hindu/Sikh vs Muslim or Christian clashes. A decade ago these were non existant, but slowly the number is rising. Earlier Sikhs stupidly used to side with 'minorities' against Hindus but Sikhs will more and more take a neutral path (if they're smart) and let the Hindus handle the Christians and Muslims.

- More cases of love jihad

- More cases of Kashmiri terrorists being sheltered in Muslim neighborhoods in Punjab (Gujjar deras, and so on).

- More conversions to Christianity by belittling the Gurus, using Sikh terminology to fool Sikhs into accepting Christ. You will see the first cases of entire villages converting to Christianity and Gurdwaras being deserted.

- Demand for greater rights by the 'minorities' (Christians and Muslims), including fighting for more burial land (already happening but will amplify)

- Sikhs will officially be under the 50% mark if the census is done correctly with the combined percentage of Muslims and Christians exceeding 10%.

Mark my words.

i think these muslims who come to punjabi view us as the muslims view europeans, brits etc our women are fair game for them, they dont think twice about doing crimes in our Punjab and attacking our youth, basicaly they will behave with us how they behave with all host nations they are in.

If Gujeratis can boot out landowning Sikhs from Gujerat and that is after half a century,then they have set a precedent.

They have political backing. Just see how Sikhs are being made to be the evil ones in this case. Anything that destroys us will be allowed to flourish with full political backing. Himachal has laws againts outsider settlement but if we in Punjab do the same you will find these Hindus spreading venom against us saying Punjab is part of India, anyone can buy land there.

Then we also need to build politically. But even politics stems from power and power brings leverage.

What leverage do we have?

Like proactive mentioned in another thread, the Sikh youth managed to twist the arms of the Himachal Pradesh govt.

For all our faults, we have the canny ability to galvanise and organise.

Hindus fear the threat of violence from Sikhs. We just have to be smarter with it.

With mob violence you have to target the leaders like you do with bullies.

You take out the ring leaders, the mob falls apart. 

You don't have to use violence all the time, but if you make their head space feel fear, you get them to behave the way you want them to.

no matter how much humdardi you show to these people, they will always be snakes. i think on this forum itself people predicted their revival in Punjab a few years ago when there were news about dumb liberal Sikhs building mosques in Punjab and stuff. Hun leh lo. Quality over quantity doesn't work in stupid good for nothing system like democracies. its all about numbers.
