Actually, I see the reverse. With the farmers' protest, even mona Sikhs (or actually, especially mona Sikhs) were taking interest in and participating in local protests. That's the reason people like Deep Sidhu were becoming attracted to something they hadn't considered before.

The key is to not push them away by telling them they aren't even Sikhs.

Yea that's true, I guess it mostly happens overseas? Like in my country in Punjabi school I had a Mona friend who despite knowing about Sikhi and knowing that I have a rehat to follow, he kept trying to convince me to cut my hair so I broke my friendship with him. Many of our apney overseas are following western culture. Many Sikhs in my country neglect Sikhi. Whenever they see people who keep rehat, they will mock them by talking amongst themselves and saying fateh,( they won't say fateh to the Gursikh) they mock the Gurfateh and call those who keep the Rehat Desi Baba. This trend occurs in Punjab too, many of our apney may soon get influenced by western influence if we don't get Quality leaders who can pull crowds towards the Rehat and teach them to be Tyar Bar Tyar.

Some of the Gurdwara committee members are drunkards! They have those big stomachs and are not Tyar at all and neither do they believe in Rehat. There is absolutely no Gatka Practice in my country or archery. It's up to the individual to find ways to learn. We need to strengthen our quality of people.

Yeah, and that's not friendship. If he were truly your friend, he would have just either let you be or applauded you for following rehit.

It's like if you had a friend who was a marathon runner and you were a couch potato. If you were truly his friend, you'd encourage him for keeping fit, even if you couldn't. Not bring him down to your level.

I keep trying to get the mona-haters (like @californiasardar1) to give monas a little leeway. But also, it's incumbent on monas to not hate on rehitdhari Sikhs.

If you can't keep rehit right now, whatever, Guru Sahib kirpa karnge. But don't denounce those who do.

Hanji unfortunately most students in my Punjabi school are like that. The incident that I mentioned above was about 6 years ago when I was about 10 or 11. Now Das is 16 but there are only 2 or 3 of us in Punjabi schoolw who follow the Rehat. Many Monas here hate on us but of course there are also Monas who respect us

Again, there's simply no reason for a mona to hate Sikhs who keep rehat. What happens to quams who don't have power is that their members start being attracted to the lifestyles of foreign qaums. Stay strong in the rehit, bro.

Bhai Nand Lal ji's Rehitnama says that Guru Gobind Singh ji says that when a Sikh's son cuts his hair, his root dries up. And when his son keeps his hair, his tree greens.

If I go by what the posts are saying, people are hiding because the system is against them.

It is not because of some dwindling population but because the system favours aggressors  which is why mobs are allowed to behave with impunity. 

It looks like our community is trying to work within the rules when other  are not.

So basically we are fighting with one hand tied behind our back.

When the system fails you then what are you left with?

300 years ago the Mughals were the system, yet we won. Why? Because our System is Vaheguru ji. We are Akaal Di Fauj not anyone else's Fauj. We only bow to Vaheguru ji not anyone else. We need to teach our youths to be Fearless so that when someone tries to attack Sikhi they will be able to look them in the eye and defend Sikhi. We should not have trust in systems. Even Guru Gobind Singh Sahib Ji Maharaj wrote in the 52 Hukams that a Sikh should always be in control of politics. Especially for Punjab.
