I don't know why we have a confused boothaa for. If you read Panth Prakash it specifically says that dasmesh pita made Singhs stick out to bring trouble to them, i.e. pre-empt the inevitable. Hell, you can get tension just by wearing a kara in places I've lived so it's nothing new.
