So, I'm gonna take up footy again soon. Under Kachera can I wear compression shorts (help with the hamstrings) or wear over the keshera (whereby they'll be less effective). Views please.

Can we use common sense, take off your Kachera, put on your sports gear, do your sports , shower,  put it back on. When did we turn into Muslims.

Nah it's a serious question.. the 5k's can't leave our bodies at anytime. But just wondered to ask on here.

I'm not talking about full length compression leggings just the shorts. Yes, I know it might sound silly , but worth asking. Similar situation to any Sikhs who might take cycling seriously and wear those compression cycle shorts

Well...

A sort of variety of thoughts hit me.

Wear under Kacheera.

Wear as Kacheera.

I mean the material isn't the same, but then again the materials used to make Bana are not purtan either.

Another approach is just don't wear them and use form, and fitness training to fortify those hammies. Probably leaning forward into it too much. Gotta sink by releasing.

Another approach...

Compression sleeves worn under the Kacheera.

Then there's the rest of the Kakkare....

Well Muslims well rhe ones I know are more concerned on what others see, than on spirituality.

With us and I'm not painting everyone with the same brush, but are people this concerned about reading and understanding Guru Granth Sahib ji?

I find more people are just focused on 5 ks and that's it.

Anyway didn't want to offend anyone. But I have not reached taking amrit yet, I'm still learning.

    • Hi All, I havent been on this forum for a while but I thought id give it a try again as it helped me through some rough times earlier in my life. I wanted to seek for guidance on sikhi and marriage ... I noticed a post earlier on sanjog etc. and it got me thinking about my own life and marriage. For context, I have been married 3 years and things are not working out. When we met, I looked in to sanjog alot and it felt like it was written. However, as these years have gone by its become apparent that we no longer align with each other and our marriage is struggling. We dont seem to understand each other and things have fallen apart. We are at a stage now where separation/divorce is looking like the best option. Neither of us are happy and whilst we have tried to work things through in many different ways, after 3 years we have drifted away. What are the sikh views on this? is it written if we decide that we no longer serve each other? or is that a sin and should I continue to work at it? my issue at the moment is that it is draining me. I feel withdrawn from everything due to things going on between us including sikhi and going to the gurdwara.  Breaks my heart to even be writing this but I do think if we are both not happy and cant see a way of being happy then what is the point in continuing? Or should I be continuing and is it paap if we dont honour our laavan? if that is the case, what does sikhi say about marriage? how do I continue knowing everyday I feel the way I do?   Thanks

    • I'll use this place as my spiritual journal so if anyone wants to join then feel free to! I'm not sure if this could be classed as an experience but last week (or 2 weeks ago), I felt my saliva to be sweet however I lost it after a week. I don't really regret it though, if I lost it then it's Hukam Another point, I feel my concentration to be very good for a while, I can focus on the void for a longer period of time than I could before. I also feel a lot more Anand, it's all Guru di kirpa
