What's the context and what does tupk mean?

I tried typing the Gurmukhi into a punjabi dictionary no luck.

It means 'gun' or probably more accurately a musket.

I presume it's from shastarnaammala?

By the looks of it it can mean musket or a small piece of artillery (small canon). Shastar naam mala is like coded descriptions of weapons. I think a part of it was to promote and encourage lateral thinking in the Khalsa?

My thoughts on this usage of phrases from 8 years ago:

We can see it was called the 'enemy' (ਰਿਪ and ਸਤ੍ਰੁ) as well as the 'ender' (ਅੰਤਕ) of various things including weapons (bows, chakar, swords), animals used in war (elephants, horses) as well as abstract nouns like 'pride' (ਅਭਿਮਾਨ; ਸਮਯ is the Sanskrit for pride), 'kings' (ਨ੍ਰਿਪ, ਭੂਪ),  'wealth' (ਧਨੁ), 'lustre' and 'praise' are also ground to a halt by this weapon (ਪ੍ਰਭਾ and ਸੋਭਾ). Taupak is also mention by Baba Nanak in Babbar Vani, one of the few banis that directly refer to historical events (the aftermath of the invasion of Babbur ). The bani is even more poignant given current events:

The Mughals and the Pathans were locked in battle, and they wielded their swords relentlessly, They fired their guns; they attacked with their elephants.

Of the wives of Hindus, of Turks, of Bhattis and of Thakur Rajputs,
Some had their veils torn from head to foot, others lay heaped up in cemeteries;

The...mechanic...of this Ang is fascinating. What are your thoughts on this, repetitions of this word and that word and you get names for Tupak? I found myself sitting there saying the word combinations together seeing how they form together. I feel like the mechanism here...is more than meets the eye maybe?
