This is what I thought, the copies that are being made are of the original birs.

Damdami Bir was taken by Indian government during operation blue star along with many hukamnamas signed by Guru sahibans.

If anyone wants an update on this issue, the Akal Takht issued an appeal for the panth to use and do prakash of larivaar saroops. Also, they said that within 2 years the Harmonium will be completely removed from Sri Harmandir Sahib and only puratan instruments along with Raag Kirtan will return.
