That is not true, one day our panth will rise. In general, Indian people are sociopathic and seem to care a lot about money. At least Jatts are not selling their daughters off to Hindus like Bhappe and Khatris are. But the thing is when you put down jatts and call them low IQ, retarded, psychotic, homo or whatever it doesn't make them rush to embrace Sikhi with open arms. It just creates resentment. Remember 21 Sikhs were willing to face 10,000 men back in the old days. We are a brave people and one of the few that seem to care a lot about our identity and we aren't willing to give it away so easily.

You have to recognise as well, that certain anti-Sikh opportunists look like they have infiltrated the panth (for generations), and don't believe in any of it. Many might have been sakhi sarwar followers a few generations back and only got in for job opportunities during colonialism. Look at how many people in Punjab will jump to christianity - many never had any firm Sikh identity to start with by the looks of it.

Let's try and define the problem more accurately too. Is it 'racism' i.e. an attack over 'race' which usually gets equated to colour in the west. Or is it not about race like that, and more about specifically Sikh identity markers (i.e. dastaar) being targeted? 

Are these blacks equally likely to target other 'brown' folk or are Sikhs specifically more likely to be on the receiving end?  

 

It's racism straight up. Remember the Lozzells riots up in Birmingham back in '05?  The kaleh attacked the whole Asian community, they didn't give a damn if it was Muslims, Sikhs or whoever.  They even shot at Gurdwaras and shot at Asians in cars.  I knew a lad from Birmingham who told me some messed up stuff about it.  Sikhs then further become easy targets because they stand out and may be don't have the rep of that they will fight back compared to say some street pakistani or something .  I recently learnt how badly Indians had it on the infamous Broadwater Farm Estate in Tottenham back in the 80s/90s.  The kaleh literally drove them out of that estate with constant racial attacks.  It's the same estate this drill rapper is from and he calls us 'rasclart pakis' in his song.  The tune literally has 2 million views and no ones batting an eyelid.  Absolute flipping joke.  Imagine it was the other way round? Lol.  It's madness bro.

Fair enough bro.  But I don't think anyone was gonna do that here, I can say I for one, definitely wasn't going to.  Also, those BC gangs/dealers aren't attacking Blacks in droves no matter what other criminal stuff they may be doing.

It's endemic. Like I notice whenever they use the 'n-word' in say the Daily Mail, they'll asterisk the letters out like n****r, but when they use the 'p-word' they just print it out blatantly in full. 

All that I'm hearing now leads me to believe that a lot of forces are working against us, and that we are being targeted. I'm at a loss because people have been warning about making a pu55y rep for ourselves (and trying to hide behind wealth) for a long whiles now. Now that the inevitable is happening, it's like people are suddenly in shock. We walked ourselves into this in some ways. 

The strong usually tyrannise over the perceived weak sadly.  We've had a whole militant, martial culture to address this, it's when we've veered away from that and just turned it into symbolism that it bites us.

What's really surreal for me, is just by random chance, I bumped into a few of the old school 'asians' who got their hands dirty back then (as teenagers) who are now middle aged (met them after 25 years plus). They are still tough. 

The real problem we are having right now is how we are being perceived, and other communities tag teaming against us. This rep has to be reversed, or we'll be facing a lot more attacks in future probably. Legislation can only help so much, look at how despite all the laws and furore about anti-semiticism, jews still get routinely attacked. 

I doubt many of the newer generation will understand, but after all the b1tching about it online (if the past is anything to go by), it's going to require some bollox on their part. But by the looks of it, certain apnay would rather live in some fantasy, delusional maula-jut dream, than actually confront outsiders - and that too in their prime.......      

I agree, the rep has to be reversed.  But it will only start getting reversed once we can start calling it out without being gaslighted by extreme left wing nuts and racist and/or deluded blacks. Coz, as of now, we are just 'meant to take it' and keep quiet about it.  That's one of the things.  The other thing is yeah as you say, you need to literally fight back.

We need to start projecting ourselves differently. A lot of socio-political things are in a flux right now globally. We have to face that reality and what it means for us and adapt accordingly. 

Plus we've had this debate before, and we did get hordes piling in the stereotypes about blacks, which doesn't really help with dealing with the matter in my opinion. If anything it just petrifies loads of giddarhs to see kalay as some out of control, savage, unconquerable beasts - which just feeds into that whole 'docile' stereotype on our part.

We also have to do this in a way that doesn't make us look like we are doing white racist's dirty work for them. This is something that we too often get manipulated into. Time to deal with our issues without holding hands with other white racists too.

I'm so glad you notice that, the difference between the N word and the P word and how it is still sometimes fully spelt out.  I literally emailed dailymail about this recently lol. 

Exactly, I have a half Indian, half English friend and he's always going on about just get educated etc and forget the rest.  But look where it's got us.  When I show him the type of abuse and mockery we are getting in social media and wherever, he becomes more inclined to agree with me that you gotta fight on all fronts, not just becoming a doctor or whatever and pretending/believing you will be living happily ever after.
