See that's what I'm saying. Both got killed for claiming a lifestyle that they weren't fully about. One thing about Sidhu though, that man emptied out a clip on those guys. Props to him.

Did he hit any of them? Yeah props if he did that, instead of staining his kashera like certain popular parcharaks in similar circs. What was he using?

We should acknowledge as well, from what I've gathered, a lot of this type of stuff goes down when people are 'charged up'. Such people don't just sell the gear, they take it too.

Exactly. It shows you how crazy the criminal network is in Panjab.

To me it screams that outsiders are involved.

I wonder what the quality of ballistic forensics is back home?

I have to add. My personal opinion.

Tupac was a poetic genius - Moosewala trying to be him with his limited range and ugly face is a comical idea. lol

Poetic genius? You have got to be kidding. Lyrically he was very simplistic. How often can one rhyme thug/drug/slug/etc.? It’s no wonder he was so prolific: he obviously put very little time into his lyrics.

Illmatic era Nas set the standard for street poetry.

Well you obviously ain't heard a lot of his stuff, especially the early stuff before he got sidetracked. There was a lot more to him than what you're saying above. You're being disingenuous if you're boxing him up as simply as you have in my opinion.

I think one of his greater lyrical legacies was to open up on emotional topics which highlight a sort of vulnerability and introspection -  which a lot of blokey blokes really struggle with. But anyway. This isn't a topic about Tupac's greatness or otherwise. Make another thread about that on a Hip Hop forum if you want maybe?

It's interesting to know Moose idolised him though.

I remember a few months back when he was announced as a Congress Party candidate, this post below. Wonder if he really was forced into politics and whether this was linked to the killing

That, or he really was considered a threat politically as the next 'Deep Sidhu', as strange as it might seem

This whole thing stinks to high heaven - what normal, rational, sane person would want to jump into Panjabi politics now? It just looks like something psychos or sociopaths would flourish in (for a while anyway).

Show business, casteism, murders, counter revenge killings, networks operating from prisons, political affiliations, withdrawn state protection, confessions on twitter!! Exotic weapons being used. What the hell.

Is this what we've come too?   Is this our 'culture' now as east Panjabis? Where is this heading?

Power and greed is too tempting.

It seems it has reached the point of no return.

It feels like the decks have to be cleared.

But I have no answers

I prefer to stay away from all this toxicity.

Someone hidden (or maybe multiple players) are making some serious attempt at a wholesale hegemony over Panjab and Sikhs. They seem to have their hand everywhere: international politics, police, media, criminal organisations.

To my Sikh brothers and sisters, stay strong, have faith in your Guru ji and their messages, and see for yourself where we've ended up when we've strayed too far from this as a society.

Keep head strong for the future. No pessimism or hopelessness crap that just makes things worse. Be careful what you say and articulate. Chardhi kala.

We don't have a choice but to rebuild our society ground up now.

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
