Are namdhari allowed to do kirtan on gurdwara stages? 
 

did akaal thakat not ban this? If they are banned from doing kirtan why are gurdwara still inviting namdharis to do kirtan?

Because Naamdharis are absolute masters at kirtan. Simple. On the topic of Akal Takht, it doesn't really hold the same authority as it did in the past. Just look at the people running it and you'll get what I mean. Most the panth, outside of stuff like Tankhaya, don't care about anything they have to say.

yes shouldnt be allowed, doesnt matter if master or not, they placed another guru on the throne, hence they are not part of the panth. Maharaajs child changed one letter and was  not then accepted, he was a master of spirituality/powers, have to draw the line somewhere. its confusing for sangat to see naamdharees on main stages, shouldnt be happening, personally i would just leave the gurdwara if committee etc arent going to listen

In the SGGSJ it is written that Kirtan is the highest form of prayer. Naamdharis do kirtan with such pyaar it is inspiring. Without Naamdharis, the original raags of Gurmat Sangeet, many of which are not replicable on the harmonium, would have been lost. Although they recognise subsequent men as Gurus, they still respect the Guru Granth Sahib Ji as many go to the gurdwara and do matha tek with humility. They were also important freedom fighters during the British Raj and made many sacrifices organising passive resistance and giving their lives. We should look at what is in their hearts  respect them, and worship Maharaj together.
