how do you pronounce the word "dX"? someone told me it's the same as "dieAw" but that doesnt seem right.. even in the sttm transliteration, it says 'dhay'..:wub:

I'm sure Sikhi to the Max uses some kind of automation script for converting the Gurmukhi to romanized english, so what you see as the transliteration comes directly from how the word is spelled in Gurmukhi.

Why i put the h in brackets is jus to empasize that its not pronoucned dhee... as one might think with an e on the end. the e makes a sound of eh but do not put emphasis on the h (hence in brackets). (if any of that makes sense )

Sooo basically what i mean to say is dX should sound similar to die

in other words, dX is to be pronounced as dXw without the kanna (w)

Daas has noticed that different gutkae have different spellings of 'Dayaalan(g)'/'Diaalan(g) :wub: in the last pauRi of Jaap Sahib. What is the correct spelling and proper pronunciation?

Also where should 'Anad' be pronounced as 'Anand'?
