Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa!

Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!!

Sangat ji i need ur help! Im doing animation at uni and i need ideas and concepts for my animation project. I would like to base my ideas on Sikhi related. The project can literally be about anything, as long as its animation.

If i do get to do an animation, the animation wont be too long, because of the time restraints and other projects on the go, prefebly no more than a minute. I know its not long, but i dont want to make the project too long, that i can complete in 12 weeks. I will need to research in depth, develop ideas, then make the animation.

The concept can be anything like i mentioned above. I just need that spark to get me on the go.

Hope that helps,

Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa!

Very good seva taken up singho!! Here are a few suggestions:

- Any travels of Guru Nanak Sahib

- Hundreds of Sakhis in Sikh history [just pick one :umm: ]

- War animation is probably hard to do and plus I don't think it'll suit the purpose in a animation.

- Baba Deep Singh ji, and other mahaan shaheeds.

If you need any help with it you can contact guptfauj, guptmail@gmail.com :TH:

Do Sacha Sauda scene as your animation or

Makhan shah lubana finding Guru Teg Bahadur jee.

With the second one , you could start off with a ship in a stormy sea and a sikh praying. Then he goes looking through this bazar and meets lots of fake sadhus and how he discovers Guru Teg bahadur jee. End the scene with him Shouting "Guru LAbho re"

 man i shud have done computer arts.

one minute is very short for a movie but very long for an advertisement

watch some advertisements and see how they include all of the info in 15 - 30 seconds

you know when you're watching tv the 60 second commercials seem very long

try to tell one thing - not too many messages

focus on one thing, and it will be easier to pack it into 60 seconds even though you can't really pack in a sakhi in 60 seconds

with guru sahib's kirpa you can do anything!

there are so many great sakhis - make sure you stay focused though, don't try to cover 10 sakhis in 60 seconds

also i feel i cant to justice or even commuicate what it was like in those times, from Guru Nanak Dev Jis time till mid 1700s. I dont have much knowledge. I think I shud take small steps and not rush into anything major when making this animation.

wat do u think sangat?

How about show different religous symbols with different colors in the background for each symbol. Then add ripples effects and clockwise spiral effect and blend all colors into 1 bright radiant light (ik oNkaar symbol), the light would be vibrating radiantly. This will show the universality of sikhi and that we are all one, just an idea.

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
