What is the meaning of "Guru" in Sikhi? What does Guru mean to you? Historians say that Guru Gobind Singh Ji was "killed" by two Muslims. Did He really die? Was Guru Ji a simple human being? please post your thoughts.

Guru is one that brings light to darkness.

If countless suns and moons come in the sky, it will still be darkness without the guru.

And which historians are you talking about? Guru Gobind Singh is still here! Just go to gurdhwara sahib.

GURU = one who brings is from darkness to light (i.e. an enlightener)

In Sikhi there is only one Guru - and the one Guru can never die because it is the Shabad Guru.

THe Shabad Guru, the Jyot was manifest in the Das Saroops, Ten Masters. The physical Guru became the living image of the Shabad in guiding the World.

This is what a Speaker showed us on a Sikh Youth Event - (i don't know whether I can show it properly like he did - but i will try).

Guru Nanak Ji says: "shabad guroo surat dhun chelaa... The Shabad is the Guroo, upon whom I lovingly focus my consciousness; I am the chelaa, the disciple."
