This documenary was scheduled to be shown in November last year, however it was rescheduled. It was to be shown on the 27 February 2005 on BBC4 and is Re-re-scheduled for this Sunday the 20th at 9.50pm.

Final Solution was shot over two and a half years by the Indian filmmaker Rakesh Sharma. It tells the story of a massacre of Muslims committed in the western state of Gujarat. It investigates the relationship between the BJP and those who instigated, and actually carried out the killings.

For outsiders, it has three merits. Firstly it is an extraordinary and convincing film. Secondly, it offers a very rare insight into the details of democracy in India, and one that shouldn't encourage people to be snooty about its practices.

Thirdly, it alarmingly suggests that Adolf Hitler's and Benito Mussolini's inventions were not confined to Europe. The BJP dresses up in saffron gear, but its conduct is that of a mid-20th-century fascist party. It is capable of fomenting plots in order to legitimise violence, and it nurses the most violent racial hatreds. Although the BJP's vote went down in the last elections, "it is hard to watch this film and not be alarmed by the prospect of Hindu fascism."

Hard to watch? What about June 1984 storming? What about November '84 massacres?

What about human abuse which is still going on in punjab?

Bhaiji, I wholeheartedly agree with you this is a MUST for EVERYone... with the reviews and raves that it received on the web and awards that the documentary received, it seems very positive docu.

It will provide an insight into what the Sikhs of Punjab must have gone through.

A REQUEST that please watch this documentary and pass the information on your mates and family members.

I write in connection with regards to the documentary Storyville : Final

Solution.

The above mentioned program is to be scheduled for this coming Sunday 27

February as indicated on your website :

However, to my utter dismay, whilst double checking the tv listing for

BBCFour it shows Storyville : The Natural History of the Chicken at

9.05pm GMT and no where does it list Final Solution! :umm:

The documentary Final Solution has been re-scheduled from last November.

Can you please please tell me what is actually going on with the

broadcasting of this documentary?

When is the actual date of the documentary to be shown?

Is it possible for me to obtain a copy of the documentary from you?

That programme was really good.... I watched half and got it recorded so plan to watch rest of it.... it shows their true colours and basically the 'Nazi' people these RSS people are.... some of the witness accounts were too sickening ...... it was so gruesome what they did to them ..... it just made you think about the 84 Delhi Riots aswell and what they went through aswell.
