[B]Sikh Arts and Heritage Regional Lecture Series 2003 – Ranjit Singh and The Royal City of Lahore to be held at Bradford on 23rd Sep'2003[/B]

SIKH ARTS AND HERITAGE REGIONAL LECTURE SERIES May - December 2003 This year, 2003, will be a really important year for Sikh Arts and Heritage in the UK. Following two really successful lecture series' in 2001 and 2002 at the Victoria and Albert Museum, the UK Punjab Heritage Association (UKPHA) is proud to announce that in 2003 the lecture series is to travel to four new regional venues: · Hounslow (May - November) · Ilford (May - October) · Leicester (September - December) · Bradford (June - October) This is an opportunity to experience thee high quality and engaging Heritage events at a local venue and interact with some of the world's principal experts in Sikh Arts and Heritage. The lecture series studies many diverse aspects of Sikh arts and heritage, covering topics such as photography, architecture, early Sikh history and paintings, Sikh scriptural and military traditions, and the contribution of contemporary Sikh female artists. There are twelve lectures in all, and each venue will host seven lectures. Each of the four venues will be hosting seven lectures running from May to December 2003.
