  1. wjkk wjkf, I need some help in this area. I am an amateur kirtani and i can do shabads quite ok. Some kirtan have really nice stories associated with them, like mera man lochey or mera satgur rakhwala... even all shabads have a very nice meaning to it. My question is that, how do i tell a story during a kirtan? I mean, what blank tunes can i play (to get the table going) , which is not too loud or which does not take the sangat's attention away from the story into the tune? Any ideas? By the way, the shabad do continues after the katha. How much of the shabad do we sing before ending it.? Thank you so much. wjkk wjkf.
  2. Very nice...thank you so much... By the way, what is rajo, sato and tamo? also, then by doing nam, bani we advance ourselves spiritually, but only when we have the vision of God's light will we truely be rid of duality, for then there is nothing to see but Him. How do we the vision of GODs light? I know, in banee it is said that when God becomes merciful, we are inspired to remember Him.. Is this what God;s light means? Thank you virji

  4. wjkk wjkf, Dear family, I have a question. This was in the hukamnama today for Gurd. Petaling Jaya, MAlaysia. It is on page 640-641, in Sorath M:5. It is on the last line of the fourth stanza. The translation goes as : Those who have met the Guru, and reformed themselves , O Beloved, their capital remains intact ||4||. Question : What does 'capital' here means? Another questions is on the second line of the 6th stanza. Translation : Those who turn their backs on the Lord of the universe, O Beloved, their families are stained with disgrace || Question : Why does the family pay for one individual who forgets Naam? Should the whole family be religious, and one is not, does the whole family stained? Example, Prithi Chand, whose father is Guru Ramdas, whose brother is Guru Arjan Dev, Whose nephew is Guru Hargobind (all Divine) and he forgets the Lord by his deeds. How does this then explain this line? PLease do shed some light on me. The Banee is as below: ਸੋਰਿਠ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ sorath mehlaa 5.
