This is just my opinion but think about it:
If you were to be cut up limb by limb, would your blppd be able to circulate throught your veins? No. If the words written in sri guru granth saahib jee were to be separated, how do you think the jot of guru saahib would flow through the linking of words?

why arent you allowed shasters or kirpaans? it is the puratan maryada that when sikhs would go to have darshan of guru saahib, they would carry 5 shasters or else guru saahib wouldnt give you darshan. if sikhs carried shasters, why cant guru saahib be given shasters too?
