  1. Uttarakhand : Hemkund Sahib Yatra, starting on September 4, will run till October 10 this time. In view of COVID-19 infection, only 100 pilgrims will be allowed to go to Hemkund Sahib in a day. This year the devotees will not be able to avail helicopter service and palanquin service this year. But the devotees coming on the journey from Ghangharia to Hemkund will surely enjoy the beautiful view of nature. These days, Uttarakhand's flower Brahmakamal blooms on the route from Ghangharia to Hemkund Sahib. Tourist will get a chance to see these flowers. The gurudwara manager Sewa Singh said that "On September 3, Panch will leave from Govindghat for Hemkund Sahib. The decision has been taken due to the pandemic". https://english.newstracklive.com/news/hemkund-sahib-yatra-will-run-till-october-10-only-100-pilgrims-will-be-able-to-go-in-a-day-mc23-nu915-ta915-ta277-1114279-1.html
  2. Cheap medicines will be available in Gurudwaras of this state The Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee has taken a big decision in favor of the needy. The committee has decided to provide medicine at cheaper rates. For this, a shop of medicine in the name of Bala Pritam will be opened in the Gurdwara campus. From here people will be able to take medicines at cheaper rates. According to the information, it will be started from August 29. In the coming future, such dispensaries will be opened at other places also. Committee chairman Manjinder Singh Sirsa said that during the coronavirus infection, DSGPC is serving the people through the langar service, and has now decided to provide medicine at cheaper rates. When the entire lockdown was imposed in the country due to Covid-19, the Gurudwara Bangla Sahib and other gurdwaras specially fed thousands of people every day. Along with other items, the needy were also provided help. Then Iqbal Singh, DGM (ration-store) of Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee, had told that the number of people eating food in the gurudwara is not kept as a number. Nor is there a token system, which can be used to find out how many people have eaten. But the number of people can be estimated from the ration used during cooking. Apart from this, Singh had said that the ration of the anchor in the lockdown and now the curfew has doubled compared to other days. Till March, all the gurdwaras in the capital had Rotis made of 20-22 quintal flour every day. While about 50 quintal flour was used daily in lockdown. Along with this, about 30 quintal rice and 20-25 quintal pulses and 20 quintal vegetables have been spent daily. During the lockdown, 25 quintal flour chapatis were made daily in Shri Bangla Sahib Gurudwara alone. But now the consumption of flour in the unlock was reduced from 15 to 20 quintals per day. https://english.newstracklive.com/news/delhi-cheap-medicines-will-be-available-in-gurudwara-bangla-sahib-dispensary-mc23-nu870-ta289-1115560-1.html

  17. *7 beautiful secrets in the architecture of Harminder Sahib.* *1. Harimandir Sahib* *Gold was implanted later on in the years of Maharaja Ranjit Singh, and there after it was started being called Golden Temple.* *However, from the time of 5th Guru since 1800's it was called - Harimandir Sahib - the God's Temple.* *2. Humility* *When we enter Harimandir Sahib, we go downstairs, which symbolises if you want to meet God in this life one would need to live a life of humility.* *3. Equality* *As there are four entry gates to the complex, it symbolises, for God everyone is welcome; caste, color, language, wealth are immaterial in his eyes.* *4. Why only one entrance to Darbar Sahib?* *Only one way to Darbar Sahib symbolises among the 84 lakh life forms, it is only in this human life that one can meditate upon God.* *5. Why sarovar all around the Darbar Sahib?* *The Shabad explains it:* *Sansaar samundey taar gobindey* *Which means the world is a ferocious ocean with life threatening waves of lust, anger, attachment, greed and ego which can only be crossed over with Guru's Shabad.* *The Sarovar symbolises the world ocean and Darbar Sahib -the Guru's Shabad.* *6. Why Darbar Sahib is in the center?* *God can not be experienced from the outside, for that one has to look and search the inside. And once the experience comes, one becomes centered.* *7. Politics and Spirituality* *In front of Darbar Sahib there is another Gurudwara in the parikarma itself called Shri Akal Takht Sahib set up by 6th Guru as the political headquarter of Sikhs of that time.* *The architecture is such that you can always see Harmandir Sahib from the window of Akal Takht Sahib but you cannot see Akal Takht Sahib at all from Harmandir Sahib.* *Which means if you are into politics, your one eye should always be on Guru's Shabad.* *But if you are meditating upon God, politics should have no place, what so ever in your mind.*
