im not joking he is quite old he wears dumalla with chand tora i've even heard people call him crazy nihang because he can't control himself sometimes during kirtan. however i'm not promoting the use of this name i don't know his real name and didn't know how else to describe him

well i disagree that this is turning into a trend this is the first track i've heard like this. if theres any proof of someone copying these guys then go ahead an show us. the other track you put up is quite old and is a recording of a nihang singh from canada. i think that this thread is just being used to take the mic out of a group of singhs who from what i hear are trying their best to get closer to guru. there is beadbi going on in uk that is way more serious than this that we should be dealing with. its remakable really that a kirtan track that most likely wasn't in front of maharaaj has caused such an uproar. again is there any point in carrying on with this thread? i think the issue has been higlighted and the there hasn't realy been anything constructive added to this thread in the last few posts.

You must be joking, Nihangs never do simran like this, maybe a Nihang look alike. If a Nihang was to recite Gurbani wrong in the old days it was considered a sin. Theres even a sakhi where a Singh recited Gurbani wrong and was punished by Guru Ji. And Nihang's read history and understand history.

But when I heard this kind of simran in my teens, I felt scared of being in the same room. And personally I don't like it. I know there reciting Gurbani but this ain't the way I would like to listen to Gurbani, no way, I personally don't like this stuff, Raag is king of music in my eyes.

When I do Jaap I do it in silences and recite Vaheguru in my mind but I use each breath as a counter (breathing through nose and out of the mouth slowly which even yogi's do and not by hyperventilating). And when I do this I feel vibrations from the navel which then travels upwould's to the top of my head.

Now what kind of spiritual experience would you get from going Jaap similar to this video shown by Namstang Ji?

Now I don't want this ONE question to span into a multi-threaded answer. I just need a direct answer no beating around the bush.

Modern Sikhi: forgetting the past history ever existed by calling it anti-sikh without even trying to understand it in the first place. Tell everyone else that history is false, then rewrite history to make newer views more feasible. And this is the outcome.

Any of you have any dreams about being in Gurdwaras, listening to sweet kirtan surrounded by Sikhs, eating langar and then realising you had overslept as a consequence of the dream ? How did you feel the next day.....I have often had a feeling of spiritual and physical rejuvination. I know that one should keep gupt abput these matters, but dreams are kinda interesting. Would value your theoughts and ideas.

Its good that your getting theses dreams. Its meant to be a good sign. But what ive heard is that you should keep theses dreams to yourself or not tell everybody about them because only you yourself will understand later what they mean, other people can only interpret them or maybe give you a false interpretation of it but only you will know what it means for you.

I think Guru Ji even said that someone conscious of God looks at Gold and Iron, Pain and Pleasure as being one of the same.

I think there is a need for Intoxicating Kirtan Sessions.

People should also look in the science of the innerself. Within yourself is the universe and the planets, suns and moons.

He did not say that. He said whoever calls him Parmeshar well go to hell, he also added that there isnt any difference with him and God, this is written in Bichitra Naatak in Dasam Guru Granth Sahib. The name Gobind means Lord of the universe and Gobind comes up in Aad Guru Granth Sahib so many times. All the Gurus' told us to Naam Jap.

im not sure if this is correct but Dasam Granth and Sarbloh Granth have less angs then Guru Granth Sahib ji to show respect and nimirta and that Guru Granth Sahib is the supreme authority! please correct me if im wrong.

Bani Hai Guru, Guru Hai Bani. The Word is Guru, Guru is the Word. There for Aad Guru Granth Sahib, Dasam Guru Granth and Sarbloh Guru Granth are Guru and should be even equal respect. And I like to believe that Guru Granth Sahib is a collective of all Guru Granth and the word Aad also means Before Time or even First and not half as most sikhs think it is.

And please note that in the shabad above starts with Patshahi Dashmi, refering to our Tenth Guru, Tenth Nanak. Sorry if this may upset people, I know every Sikh has so much love for Guru Gobind Singh Ji.
