  1. Just to remind everyone of the keertan darbar this saturday

~Hopfully bhai sahib surjit singh, bhai navreet singh and many more should be attending

My apologies to everyone regarding the clash - but the programme was already clashing last week (8th) so it was moved to the 16th. I personally think doing keertan is satkaar aswell but thats my personal opinion but protesting for beadbi is important at the same time. The programme is in a different location but again I do apologise for the clash but we usually try our best to avoid clashes.

    Dear sadh sangat jio,

Just wanted to inform everyone about the simran programme on Saturday 29th Novemeber 2008 from 6pm-12am at Bebe Nanaki Gurdwara (like the one we had last year in july). We will be posting a poster within a week or so but thought id let everyone know to AVOID ANY CLASHES. To my knowledge there are no programmes on that day so please note this date in your diaries and please bless us with your darshan.

    Thanking you

  5. are there any midweek programmes at bebe nanaki gurdwara, or anywhere where events are posted?

    Progs at bebe nanaki gurdwara

Every Sunday arti/simran at 9:30am followed by keertan.

    Simran from 7pm-8pm on sundays

Simran from 7pm-8pm on tuesdays and thursdays and sukhmani sahib paath on wednesday from 6:15/6:30pm but will start again week commencing 21st april because of the lari (continuous) of akhand paths.

  6. Im sorry to break the news 'Singhstah' but F74 is the thick malmal. I know what it feels like cuz my mum bought some F74 for her damalla. I dont think washing it will help to be honest cuz i've been using them as keski's since (for ova year) and they dont get soft like malmal. If ur desperate I know a shop in birmingham where u can get proper soft malmal. The shop is like 5mins walk from bebe nanaki gurdwara where the february rainsubai is taking place - organised by AKJ. Try to cum, hopefully bibi harjit kaur should be attending. check out akj.org for info on the coach's

  7. i respect these singhs fully - oocha jeevan, they must have had some power to do all of that before a full day

If i did that it would take me 4 hours for simran, like 4/5 hours for sukhmani sahib and thats if i started at 12am.

    is the moolmantar 33 * (108 mala)?

    Some shaktee I recon :WW:

  8. I emailed someone from manchester, regarding keertanis. The singh emailed the following

    Bhai amolak singh ji (australia)

    bhai jasbir singh ji (chandigahr)

    bhai apardeep singh ji

    bhai manjit singh (glasgow)

bhai gurpreet singh (shimla) he is new....to england

and some other guy from india i dont remember his name but he is a wicked kirtaniya.

  9. Personally I think it should be avoided, Me and my family use to have a post office and use to sell cigarettes. But with maharaj's BIG BIG blessing we got rid of the cigarettes within a year. But within that year what happened in my family is undescribable. My parents use to fight day and night regarding this subject. Thanks to my mums nagging and a certain mahapursh's support my dad gave up selling cigarettes.

We still sold eggs and like small packs of the odd meat. Its a horrible feeling deep down. I never use to get my nitnem completed. I would be still doing japji sahib while I served at the shop on a saturday. It would take me hours to finish my nitnem, and sometimes I never finished including reharas. With a full off licience shop the hours a sooooooooo long. Like you have to open up at 6:00 in the morning for papers and like close at 8:00pm or 10:00pm like majority off licence shops. ANd then your sunday gurdwara goes aswell cuz ur in the shop and then you have to do shopping for the shop from warehouses and then unload it and then stock the shelfs.

Running a shop sounds easy but I tell ya its a headache and a half. No holiday, no family time and no time for your guru most importantly. I dont know how to explain it but it has a certain effect that the mind just thinks about profit and money. I swear it becomes CRAZY!!!! and then the illnesses kick in too.

A few recomendations - first avoid alchole and ciggz and papers, second to avoid meat and eggs. Then your thinking about all those chocolates and crisps etc with egg and what not, it just goes on and on.

IF YOU SERIOUSLY CAN FIND ANOTHER ALTERNATIVE BUSINESS WOULD BETTER THAN ANYTHING.

I just gave me views and my own experience, hope it helps. All the best
