Last week for my nephew's marriage ,the Ragis refused to perform Anand Karaj ceremony and walked out. Their explanation was that the Delhi Gurdwara prabandha committee has introduced a new rule that if it is a sikh family and the father has his turban but the Groom has his hair cut they will refuse to do anand karaj.The committee was contacted and they asked the ragis to leave immediately. There was a lot of arguments but they left. Someone from gurdwara then read it as they best knew as none ragis were available.

do you think this was correct ? **

penji ..if ur body is week and u think it is cuz the lack of iron then please i would suggest u to go to doc and ask him to give u iron pills.. and also i myslef get terrible pain so i took some pills that my sister take it is only prescription pill and u suppose to take it b4 it starts and u will feel no pain..but only thing is what is in that pill no idea...my friend she takes warm milk with saunf and hing in it..taste good and it helps..

MIND AND ITS OPERATION

With the Gur Parsaad let us all thank countless times with every breath of ours the primal being the one supreme Lord; Agam Agochar Dhan Dhan Paar Braham Parmesar and Dhan Dhan Guru for their unlimited eternal blessings and with folded hands, with our head at their lotus feet forever, with a complete surrender to them, with full and complete belief, commitment, trust and faith in their existence and their unlimited spiritual powers, love, devotion, kindness, humility, and all the divine qualities, their divinity and divine wisdom, their sacrifices and patience, their forgiveness of our misdeeds and blessing us with the Gur Parsaad Naam, Bandgi and Seva, their Gur Sangat and Amrit Vachans, the wealth of this human life, and with all this Agami Gur Parsaad let us try to understand the most complicated yet very simple mechanism behind the existence and operation of our (our here doesnt mean our physical body it means the soul, the Atma, the Jyot, the Parkash) most powerful enemy and cheat The MIND:

The mind is a non-visible part of the physical body of a person. The mind is like a distorted mad horse, which is very difficult to control, like a mad horse jumps around and keeps on doing so and is very difficult to control. Which means that mind is very unstable, it moves around at a very high speed, it never stops, there is a continuous stream of thoughts good or bad that keeps the mind running and jumping around like a mad horse on a cont

inuous basis. In a normal human being the mind (the continuous stream of thoughts) is run due to the five sense organs (integral part of our physical body): eyes see; ears hearing; skin feeling of touch; tongue taste and speak & nose - smell; all the human actions and reactions are created through these five senses under the influence of the three attributes of Maya: Rajo; Tamo and Sato; these five sense organs observe and sense the surroundings and respond accordingly, the responses are also mostly through these sense organs or sometimes use of the limbs and body parts and body language is also used to respond to the observations made by these five senses. Basically these five senses are responsible for the continuous stream of thoughts and for all our actions and reactions under normal worldly conditions. The responses to the observations made by these five senses of the physical body are based on the worldly wisdom Sansarik Matt (learned form the society prevailing around you) and self-wisdom Munn Matt (result of your self intelligence, education through schooling etc). Basically these five senses keep the mind occupied all the time, these five senses and sense organs are responsible for the mischievous actions, thoughts, doubts, distractions, delusions, illusions and all such actions, and thus create a dark screen around us, us here doesnt mean our physical body it means the soul, the Atma, the Jyot, the Parkash this divine entity US remain sleeping under this dark screen. US is like a SLEEPING GIANT unaware of what is going on around it on a continuous basis.

There is another way to explain the operation of mind: consider your physical body is a chariot which is being run by the five horses which are the five senses or sense organs; the reins of these five horses are being held in the hands of the driver of the chariot the mind, means the driving directions of this chariot are being given by the mind, the five horses get attracted to the worldly attractions (all under the influence of Maya)

, mind gets a signal through these five horses depending upon the kind of attraction which prompts the respective sense through that particular sense organ and hence the mind is attracted towards that particular attraction instantaneously, forms the thought and responds to this thought in physical action or reaction. So controlling the mind will mean that now there are five mad horses, which are responsible for a continuous stream of thoughts and in order to silent the mind and relieve it from this continuity of thoughts, all these five mad horses will have to be controlled. The owner of this chariot is the SLEEPING GIANT-THE JYOT, THE SOUL, THE ATMA, but as explained the driver of this chariot is the MIND, however the power of the SLEEPING GIANT THE JYOT, THE SOUL, THE ATMA is lot more than the driver of the chariot the mind and is beyond description, it is a part of the Braham, it is the divine light, it is the life element in the body which keeps the body breathing and alive, it is the divine entity, it is the AMRIT, but since it is not activated, the Sleeping Giant the Jyot, the Soul, the Atma is sleeping under the curtain of darkness created by the mind being prompted by these five mad horses, doesnt do anything and continues to sleep forever and let the Maya take its toll forever and keep it delineated from the Nirgun Paar Braham Parmesar. But if you are fortunate and your deeds from the previous lives are good, which means that if you have accumulated some SAT Karams, if you have done some Bandgi in the previous lives, then this Sleeping Giant will start feeling the pinch of the darkness around, which means the soul will start to awaken up at times and more frequently, feel and recognize the importance of controlling these five mad horses, and by doing so keep on accumulating more SAT Karams. This will eventually lead to a breakthrough by virtue of eternal blessings the Gur Parsaad, which can only be given either directly by the Almighty, or by the Almighty through a Satgur; a Braham Gyani or a Puran Sant

This is why Gurbani says: Ik Oankaar Satnaam Satgur Parsaad, and when the Sleeping Giant will be awakened more and more, and as it continues to receive the Gur Parsaad in the form of Seva, Simran & Parupkaar and keep on accumulating Amrit, it will continue to gain more and more divinity, divine wisdom and divine awareness; and eventually when the Bajjar Kapaats divine doors are opened including the Dassam Duaar and the seven centers of spiritual energy inside the body are activated and a direct & continuous contact is established with the Nirgun Saroop of Akal Purakh, the Anhad Shabad is received as Gur Parsaad on a continuous basis, the Sleeping Giant goes in to full awakening state, the Jyot grows to become a Param Jyot, the soul becomes very powerful and at this point the driver of the chariot the mind is put aside, it is eliminated practically and the Soul, the Param Jyot takes over the reins of the five mad horses and obtains the full control over these mad horses, these mad horses then dont remain mad anymore, they become the servants of the Soul which becomes Param Jyot. This stage has been described in Gurbani as: Munn Jeetey Jugjeet.

The key here is to exercise SAT Karams, to do Naam Simran, Seva and Parupkaar, and receive the Gur Parsaad, the Gur Parsaad is the only way, there is no other way to have a control over the mind and win over it, defeat it, and replace it by the Param Jyot.

i agree with you all that ladivaar saroop should be there, words shouldn't be seperated..but now it's done is done..and everything is in hukam..i know some one who doesn't bow to guru ji cuz they are not in ladisaroop..which is not right in my opinion...mother either wears western cloth or indian cloth her heart would be the same..her love would be the same..for her kids..
