  1. UKIP, at least Farage has been honest unlike the mainstream parties of Lib\Lab\Con. How much money has Britain given to corrupt countries over the years like Pakistan who have a terrible record of human rights abuses to it's minorities, how have these recipient countries used the aid funds?

There are 50 odd Islamic countries oil rich who can take in asylum seekers such as UAE, Qatar, Kuwait not to mention Saudia Arabia. Africa has some of the richest resources in the world in terms of water, weather, land, oil, vast reserves of minerals that the world wants, where has the wealth gone squandered with one despot dictator after another!

Below is just some of the reasons why I longer support any of the main stream parties.

Don't forget the Tories and Liberal conspired recently not to give protection to whistleblowers in regards to paedophilia investigations.

  2. This is how one paedophile in the US was stopped in going about his disgusting perverted business.

Note the father was not charged as he stopped a violent crime, something that should have happened when our Sikh brothers in Leicester intervened to stop further sexual molestation of a victim. The Leicester groomers were convicted and sentenced to prison.

Free the Sikh Brothers with Royal Pardons and a hefty compensation package!!!

A man who was beaten by the father of a child he was caught sexually abusing has been sentenced to 25 years in prison.

Raymond Frolander, from Daytona Beach, Florida, was beaten until he was unconscious and left with clear facial injuries after he was found abusing the 11-year-old boy last year.

The father called police after administering his own punishment.

Frolander, who was 18 at the time, was found by officers lying in a pool of his own blood.

According to a 911 recording, the unnamed father told the operator: "I just walked in and found a grown man molesting (my child) and I got him in a bloody puddle for you right now.

"Send an ambulance. He is going to need one."

The father ended the call by saying: “I did whatever I got a right to do, except I didn’t kill him.”

Frolander was charged with sexual battery on a victim under 12.

Speaking to investigators after the attack, the child said that he had been playing games with friends at the property; however, once those friends had left, Frolander began to sexually assault him.

The child also said that this had not been an isolated incident, and that Frolander had been abusing him since the age of eight.

According to Daytona Beach police Chief Mike Chitwood, Frolander was "almost like a family member" to his alleged victim and he had groomed his target for a period of time, having sex with the victim on multiple occasions.

The father was not charged with any crime.

Chitwood said the man was just "acting like a dad", and he didn’t see anything to charge him with.

Asked whether he had any issues with the father’s actions, Chitwood said: "Not as a police chief and not as a father."

Frolander took a deal to prevent a mandatory life sentence. However he will be registered as a sex offender for the rest of his life and will have to wear a GPS monitor upon his release, NBC News affiliate Wesh reported.

After the sentence, the father told reporters at the station: "He's going to learn in the next 25 years why I let him live."

  4. Also the Leicester moghul darbar restaurant attack that resulted from police failure to act on the organised exploitation of a young Sikh girl. Basically police were made aware of the abuse and handed a dossier of names, car registrations, properties etc of the abusers but they did nothing for 6 months and allowed the abuse to continue. Eventually the community took vigilante action.

Even then Leicestershire police tried to cover up the abuse claiming it was just rumours. After the restaurant attack some of the the groomers were jailed for lesser charges only receiving 2 years each after the CPS pressurised the higher charges to be dropped as it "was not in the public interest" . only the immense work of SAS and the bravery of the victim ensured prosecutions in this landmark case.

The way the police acted was shsmeful throughout, from lack of action, attempted cover up, harrasing and threatening members of the Sikh community to not talk about the case or discussion social media under threat of prosecution etc.

The full details of the abuse actually never hit the public domain ...

I am under no illusions the Police, Labour politicians particulary of Leicester, CPS and even some of our sell out Sikhs did a great disservice to the Sikh victim and especially our Sikh brothers who actually stopped further serious sexual offences taking place! This is where Sikh Federation should have stepped in and slammed the authorities and got our brothers out of jail with a Royal Pardon and millions in compensation!

Look who was in charge of the DPP when grooming was taking place on an industrial scale and have a guess which political party has taken him in to their fold, no shame or honour with tainted public officials

    Question to ponder

If the West Midlands Police are capable of covering up the Grooming Scandal or protect the instigators, it could mean that they would be capable of ignoring this particular incident.

Other cover ups by other Police forces, Hillsborough, Stephen Lawrence, Blair Peach, deaths in custody, grooming (Rochdale, Rotherham, Sheffield just to name a few), high ranking paedophile cover ups Jimmy Saville, Cyril Smith, the list goes on and on and these are only mainstream news articles.

Even the right wing press no longer hold the police in any respect or regard.

  6. The important point is the Sikh Manifesto and the initial meetings before the General Election have created the opportunity for Sikhs collectively working on this issue to come up with areas where the government can assist to tackle this issue.

The Sikh Federation (UK) suggested the Sikh Council UK invite the leading organisations involved in this issue to roundtable discussions this month and come up with the submission to government by 30 April. We can extend this deadline, but will want to have something ready by mid-may at the latest for the incoming administration.

The Sikh Federation (UK) would expect the Sikh Awareness Society, Sikh Helpline etc. to be at the forefront of the suggestions and proposal. The Federation is merely facilitating and has been challenging the likes of Lord Singh who has been quoted in the press to say this issue is not important enough to be in the Sikh Manifesto.

The exchanges between the Sikh Federation (UK) and Lord Singh on another forum will be reproduced here.

It would be wise to involve the SAS, Sikh Helpline, and other Sikh denominations i.e. Bhatra, Ramgharia, Balmiki, Ravidassia etc. after all the Rehat Maryada defines a Sikh as article 1 Section ii Any human being who faithfully believes in Ten Gurus, from Guru Nanak to Guru Gobind Singh,

Sikh Federation has to be brave enough to rock the 'boat'. The Labour Party did not challenge it's own council run authorities in tackling grooming. The Conservatives have issues of its own with the likes of Sir Peter Morrison.

I tell you the issues affecting our community jobs, housing, health physical and mental, cost of education, care of the elderly, grooming, hate crimes verbal and physical, transportation, cost of living, all the stuff that affects 99.9% of the UK population.

I'm still aggrieved our hero Blair Peach who died for us in 1979 that no police officer has been brought to justice, don't forget Ricky Reel's family still seeking justice. I suggest SF each year donate £100 towards a schools book in memory of Blair Peach.

To me 1984 is important to seek justice for the victims of genocide, those languishing in prison for no just reason. Justice has to come from us in donating to families to alleviate their poverty, heartache etc. I support a Raj Kharega Khalsa across India and the world. A small independent land concentrated in Punjab will only be manipulated or taken over by our enemies of Moghul descent. Pakistan in1947 had 25% classified as minorities that figure now is 2%.

    Long Live The Khalsa!

  7. I was just checking whether SAS had been invited or whether they were consulted or involved in the process. I don't doubt SAS's commitment to the cause I know of the tremendous amounts of seva they put in.

These other organisations that have previously been silent for 10 years suddenly are interested as they know its a big issue now and a chance to steal some media attention and limelight. Where were they for the last 10 years when SAS were amongst the only ones representing the cause and of course Shere E Punjab in the 80's.

Back on topic though, the media coverage of the actual video basically states that a Sikh male was attacked in what had been suggested may be a racially motivated attack so the police are investigating. Now this may well be true. How exactly does this equate to "irresponsible" coverage by the media ? A rather flawed and poorly concieved press release by Sikh federation in my opinion.

Agree with the above, SAS has been going since 1998, Shere Panjab came to prominence during the 1980s.

In the video I saw one Sikh being attacked with no let up by a number of violent individuals intending to cause maximum harm. If the Sikh killed an attacker as far I am concerned it was self defence and I would have had a whip round for his legal funds and signed any petition necessary. Bypassers acted shamefully by not intervening. If the incident was at Broad Street then why did the security door staff not intervene? If I was the Police one of the tasks I would be involved in is asking the security door staff for statements. If it has been shown they did not intervene for no legitimate reason strip the company and individuals of their licence?

  8. No representation from Sikh Awareness Society at these CSE / grooming discussions ? If not its a massive oversight considering that the SAS have been at the forefront of tackling this issue for the last decade. I.e before the other organisations jumped on the bandwagon.

I have personally met the the Sewadars of SAS they are up against it in terms of time and resources. What ever their reason was for not attending the meeting I have no doubt it was valid.

  9. A few statements by the Sikh Federation (UK) on grooming:

    http://www.sikhsangat.com/index.php?/topic/72641-sikh-federation-uk-welcomes-bbc-one-tv-programme-exposing-the-sexual-exploitation-and-grooming-of-sikh-girls/

Sometimes we forget organisations like the Sikh Federation (UK) do issue statements on grooming and do not mix their words. Very few other organisations that have a range of activities take up the issue in the media and politically. Perhaps we allow ourselves to forget such matters as the Sikh Federation (UK) is so vocal on many other issues or we dislike them for some reason.

The issue is also tackled head on in the Sikh Manifesto and two meetings have taken place with the UK Govt in the last few weeks.

The above is accepted but the statements are through third party websites? Shouldn't all the articles above feature prominently on the Sikh Federation website as the issue of grooming and race against Sikhs is current and onging? Also with your recent meetings with the UK government, if you are to represent us as Sikhs have the minutes been published so we as a community know what was or not said on our behalf?

  10. Sikh federation uk have branded it as irresponsible media coverage. There statement is on there Facebook page. They're saying it may cause communal tensions.

Seems like a cowardly response to me, to Sikh Federation ever comment on street grooming and abuse or are they scared that may cause community tensions as well..

Many organisations that you think represent your interests are covertly funded and infiltrated by the state hence they never rock the boat. I'm not saying this is the case with the Sikh Federation but you have to question their silence on the grooming scandal when our sisters where clearly targeted? I have been to the SAS presentation in Gurdwaras I have no doubt these are the Sikh organisations and we should be supporting including, Basics of Sikhi, the makers of Amu, and a whole hosts of others that quietly get on with the Sewa and bring Sukh from Dukh!

  11. No its not a ridiculous statement, u obviously havnt read properly wat ive written. Theres nothin wrong in bettering yourself, remember we r the 1s who talk of chardi kalah. However that doesnt mean u should start becoming rich at the expense of ur culture and religion. Its these rich middle class/well off sikhs, who r breeding these politically correct pappus who roam amongst us, n molly coddle their kids frim the realities of the real world. These money hungry parents, who ALREADY have earned themselves a great careers/house/cars etc still insist on doin overtime n extra time at work, instead of goin home at normal hours and build a family on culture/dharam/love, not friggin crappy riches. A lot of these rich pappu kids never encounter realities of the streets, n get bullied left right n centre.

A good point but can we establish who the attackers please, this was the essence of the news article.

  12. Why was this suspect not locked up previously when he already had sexual offences prevention order???

A 33-YEAR-OLD man has appeared before magistrates charged in connection with the abduction of a six-year-old girl.

Imran Khan, of Pendle Street, Accrington, indicated not guilty pleas to allegations of intentionally causing or inciting a girl under the age of 13 to engage in sexual activity, taking a child so as to remove her from the lawful custody of her mother and breaching a sexual offences prevention order when he appeared at Burnley Magistrates Court yesterday.

A total of 373 girls suffered sexual abuse in Oxfordshire, a report into 'indescribably awful' child sexual exploitation has found - and now fears have been raised that the abuse may have been racially motivated.

Over 15 years hundreds of victims as young as 11 were groomed, raped and forced into prostitution by gangs of men 'predominantly of Pakistani heritage', a serious case review has found.

The damning 114-page report said victims were in a 'living hell from which they couldn't extricate themselves' after 'hostile' officials wrote some off as 'difficult girls making bad choices' when they begged for help.

The vulnerable girls were initially showered with gifts before being plied with alcohol and drugs including crack cocaine and heroin, making them dependent on the men who sexually abused them.

Today Thames Valley's Police and Crime Commissioner, Anthony Stansfeld, said the abuse may have been a 'hate crime'.

Mr Stansfeld said that 'from the outside looking in' it appeared the abuse was in some way racially motivated.

He said: 'It needs looking at whether this was hate crime. I think it most certainly could have been and it needs looking at.'

Prime Minister David Cameron said this afternoon that the children in Oxford were abused on an 'industrial scale' and vowed laws would be changed in the light of revelations and similar scandals in Rotherham and Rochdale.

Abuse: An estimated 373 girls, mainly from Oxford, pictured, were groomed, raped and sometimes forced into 'sex slavery' by gangs over the last 15 years, a damning report revealed

Today police and council bosses said they were 'horrified' and 'ashamed' by what happened between 1999 and 2014 but nobody has yet been disciplined over what happened.

One gang of Asian men was responsible for abusing and enslaving 50 girls, mainly from Oxford, but the men were also able to sexually torture girls for eight years after a series of missed opportunities to stop them.

One abuse victim believes that 'hundreds of men' who abused her remain 'untouched' and walking the streets, the report said.

Maggie Blyth, chair of the Oxfordshire Safeguarding Children Board, admitted years of errors 'allowed offenders to get away with their crimes' but she found no cases of neglect or misconduct by staff.

The three senior managers who were responsible for social services in Oxfordshire at this time have all since moved on.

One emigrated but has returned to the UK, another now works in the private sector while the third retired on health grounds.

Alan Bedford, the author of the independent review, wrote: 'What happened to the child victims of the sexual exploitation in Oxfordshire was indescribably awful.

'The child victims and their families feel very let down. Their accounts of how they perceived professional work are disturbing and chastening.'

The report said: 'It [the sexual abuse] was so bad that, for a time, it was hard for staff to grasp the reality of what was happening.'

His report revealed that six girls who were being abused were reported missing 500 times in five years but the authorities failed to act, today's report said.

The devastating 114-page report today also revealed:

    • Girls were hooked on drink and drugs before being offered for sex in Oxford and across Britain

    • The victims were 'white girls' and the perpetrators were 'predominantly of Pakistani heritage'

    • Girls were tortured with meat cleavers, baseball bats and sex toys by men who would also bite, scratch, suffocate, burn them and even urinate on them

    • Those abused by gangs who went to social workers or police were often 'disbelieved' or told they were 'bringing problems upon themselves'

    • Children who said they were being abused were considered to be consenting to sex with adults and written off as 'difficult girls making bad choices'

    • Staff made 'snide remarks' and were 'hostile' to girls who came to them for help

    • Professionals showed a persistent 'lack of curiosity', even in one case where a 12-year-old abuse victim linked to a gang was known to be using contraceptives

    • Parents who complained their child was missing or had been raped were seen as 'part of the problem'

    • The perpetrators told one parent of a girl they habitually abused: 'They threatened to kill me and behead my daughter's baby'....

Essex child abuse: Family of rape victim, five, want case reviewed

    By Ed Campbell BBC News

    • From the section Essex

Media caption Parents: "For a little girl to have been failed... is just shocking"

The parents of a five-year-old rape victim have called for a new police investigation into her case.

Essex Police previously apologised for the handling of its inquiry into the rape by a boy aged 12 in 2011.

The boy was given the equivalent of a caution and the case was not referred to the Crown Prosecution Service. Essex Police admitted that outcome was wrong.

The girl's mother said it was "shocking" her daughter had been "failed so significantly".

The force found numerous failures during its subsequent internal investigation, overseen by the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC), into the actions of detectives.

As a result, a wider probe was launched and an outside force invited in for a mass-examination - known as Operation Maple - of Essex Police investigations into child abuse.

    Misconduct proceedings

The girl's parents say they now want their own case looked at by an outside force.

They are angry that despite multiple failures - including one detective telling the 12-year-old boy to "do it to someone older next time" - the officers concerned were given only a written warning and were returned to work on the child abuse investigation team.

The rape was reported to police in August 2011, and police gave the offender a "final warning" - the juvenile equivalent of a caution - in November of that year.

PCC Nick Alston says the family has few options as the IPCC has concluded an investigation already

Essex Police said in a statement that the IPCC had investigated the case following a complaint from the girl's family and as a result three officers had been subject to misconduct proceedings.

The force said a "full and robust process" that had already taken place meant the case had not been among those referred to the IPCC as part of Operation Maple.

But the girl's parents believe the investigation was insufficient and that its conclusions were watered down to protect officers.

They also say they don't understand why their case is not among the near 40 investigations being re-examined.

For a little girl to have been failed so significantly is just shocking"Sara"

"Give us a plausible explanation why you won't, even for the sake of transparency, review our case," said the girl's mother "Sara" - not her real name.

    "You're reviewing a significant amount.

"One more, surely, for transparency purposes alone, should be a drop in the ocean."

    'Huge sympathy'

The parents also say they have lost their trust in the police.

"We brought our children up to think they could trust the police. As we did. As you would expect to," said Sara.

"And clearly that just isn't the case.

"And for a little girl to have been failed so significantly is just shocking, and she doesn't understand why these adults and police officers have all failed her at a time when it's crucial that we trust them."

Essex Police and Crime Commissioner Nick Alston said the family had few options because the IPCC had concluded an investigation already, albeit one which was carried out by an Essex Police officer and merely supervised by the police watchdog.

He said he believed the system for investigating complaints against police was broken and often "seems to operate against the victims".

Mr Alston, who is brokering a meeting between the family and Essex Chief Constable Stephen Kavanagh, said the force had learned from the case - but that the family's comments were "devastating".

"I have huge sympathy with the family, and I hope that their meeting with the chief constable will help start to rebuild that trust, but they have been through a bad experience," he said.

"I'm afraid to say it's an experience shared by many other people who are victims of crime, who don't get the satisfaction they need."

Rotherham abuse scandal: IPCC probe expands

The Jay report found the abuse of 1,400 children in Rotherham had been ignored by agencies

    Rotherham abuse

The police watchdog has said it is investigating complaints against 42 South Yorkshire Police officers over the handling of child sexual exploitation in Rotherham.

The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) said it was looking into more than 100 allegations.

It said complaints had been made against 42 named officers and a number of "unknown" officers.

The complaints include allegations of neglect of duty and of corruption.

In a statement the IPCC said its investigation had "expanded" since it announced in November it was investigating 10 officers involved in incidents highlighted in Professor Alexis Jay's report into child sexual exploitation (CSE) in Rotherham.

The Jay Report, published in August, found the abuse of 1,400 children in the town over a 16-year period was ignored by agencies.

The IPCC said: "Since that announcement we have received 30 complaints relating to South Yorkshire Police's handling of CSE in Rotherham.

"The complaints contain more than 100 allegations against 42 named police officers, both retired and serving, as well as a number of allegations against officers whose identities are currently unknown.

"Work to establish the identity of the unknown officers and to identify any links between the different complaints and incidents is ongoing.

"The allegations range from neglect of duty by failing to adequately investigate on the basis of intelligence or to deal with incidents appropriately, inappropriate comments and suggestions of corrupt relationships between police officers and offenders."

It said it was also investigating a claim that South Yorkshire Police "failed to act on information passed to them in 2004 and 2006 about alleged child sexual exploitation in Sheffield", in relation to two named officers who are now retired.

In a statement, the force said: "South Yorkshire Police has referred a number of allegations to the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) in relation to child sexual exploitation in Rotherham.

"We remain committed to assisting them with their independent investigation into any alleged misconduct."

A multimillionaire food tycoon's son who left a toddler brain damaged and paralysed following a horror car crash has been jailed for a second time after assaulting a man.

Antonio Boporan Singh, 28, was sentenced to a year in prison after pleading guilty to inflicting actual bodily harm and violent disorder after two men were punched, kicked and one was hit with a champagne glass at Birmingham's Nuvo Bar.

Singh, heir to a £130million chicken fortune, has already served 21 months in jail for causing horrific injuries to one-year-old Cerys Edwards in a crash while speeding at 72mph on the wrong side of a 30mph road in November 2006.

His latest jail sentence comes after a brawl at the upmarket Birmingham bar last April.

During the fight, one victim, Jarondeep Kooner, was slashed across the face with a champagne flute by Theodore Mullings-Fairweather, who then repeatedly kicked and stamped on the man as he lay injured on the floor.

Singh from Little Aston, West Midlands - who earlier paid £400 to secure a VIP table at the bar - left the club with Mullings-Fairweather and alongside Edward Ansah and Nathan Pringle.

But as they walked into a nearby street the group saw a 31-year-old man with his shirt ripped.

Assuming him to be part of the group involved in the fight, Mullings-Fairweather and Singh punched and kicked him to the ground before running off.

The minute-long attack was captured on CCTV and left both victims, Harprit Singh and Mr Kooner, requiring hospital treatment.

Mr Kooner, 22, suffered a fractured eye socket and has since lost use of an eye.

Singh had pleaded guilty to one count of inflicting actual bodily harm and violent disorder at Birmingham Crown Court in February, and was given one year in jail on Friday.

Mullings-Fairweather, 25, from Selly Oak, Birmingham admitted inflicting grievous bodily harm and causing grievous bodily harm with intent and was jailed for eight years.

He also received another eight years for a separate offence of robbery after stealing a cash box from outside a Tesco store.

BOPARAN BUSINESS EMPIRE: FOOD TYCOON IS WORTH £800MILLION

Singh's father Ranjit Singh Boparan owns 2 Sisters Food Group - a Birmingham-based food-manufacturing company.

Established in 1993 as a frozen retail cutting operation, it has grown rapidly and expanded to cover 36 manufacturing sites in the UK, eight in the Netherlands, five in Ireland and one in Poland.

The group employs 23,000 people, and has annual sales of £3.4billion. It is listed 14th on the 2014 Sunday Times Top Track 100.

The company is now the third largest food company in the UK by turnover.

Brands include Fox's Biscuits, Goodfella's, Donegal Catch and Green Isle.

Harry Ramsden's was sold to Boparan Ventures Ltd in 2010, the private investment branch of his business empire.

Pringle, 32, from Erdington, Birmingham, and Ansah, 24, from Sutton Coldfield, both admitted violent disorder and were given 18 months imprisonment.

Addressing Singh, Judge Simon Drew QC said: 'The assault occasioning actual bodily harm took place after the violent assault and should be considered entirely separate and was a gratuitous attack.

'It involved you kicking a man on the ground to the head. These courts regard that conduct as very serious.'

Michael Wolkind, defending, said Singh had not been drinking that night and said he led a 'cautious' lifestyle.

He added the 28-year-old had dedicated his life to the Boparan Charitable Trust, which helps sick children.

After the hearing, Detective Constable Allan Jones, who led the inquiry, said: 'This was a violent attack which devastated the lives of two young men.

'Both needed extensive medical treatment and the 22-year-old has suffered permanent sight loss as a result of this group's actions.

Singh had previously been jailed for 21 months for hitting the car Cerys Edwards was in while overtaking at 70mph in a 30mph area in November 2006.

The youngster, now nine-years-old, was left unable to talk and walk and still requires a ventilator just to keep her alive.

Speaking after the sentencing, the father of Cerys's father, Gareth, 50, from Sutton Coldfield said: 'I think his sentence is very lenient considering his previous conviction.

The impact of the crash was so severe that Cerys, pictured before the incident, was ripped from her baby seat and her spine was fractured

'He won't learn anything from this and he will just do it again and again. I think it would take someone actually dying for him to stop and think.

'It's just absolutely ridiculous what he has done. He is the son of a millionaire, he couldn't want for anything.

I just can't get my head round that mentality. He's out of control.'

Singh, was just 19 when he caused Cerys' life threatening injuries while speeding in his powerful Range Rover Sport.

The impact of the crash in Sutton Coldfield was so severe the 11-month-old was ripped from her baby seat and her spine fractured.

The car was bought by his wealthy parents, Ranjit and Baljinder Boparan, who run the 2 Sisters Food Group, the third largest food company in the UK by turnover with an annual revenue of £3.4billion.

The outrage over Singh's sentence at the time sparked a campaign demanding government action.

More than 13,000 campaigners supported tougher sentences and a petition was also delivered to Westminster by Cerys's parents in July 2009.

Labour's former Justice Minister Jack Straw called the Edwards family himself to give them the news about what became known as 'Cerys's Law'.

As a result of the changes anyone convicted of causing serious injury by dangerous driving now faces up to five years in prison instead of the previous maximum of two.

Cerys was awarded £5 million compensation in 2012 along with a guaranteed annual payout of £450,000 for the rest of her life.

At the time Judge Martin McKenna, sitting at Birmingham County Court, described it as the 'saddest and most tragic case' he had ever come across.

  17. Farage was talking about legally allowing employers to choose a British worker over a non foreign. Brown stated exactly the same in 2010 by saying British jobs for British workers and no one accused him of racism? No decent employer in the UK will start to discriminate against a well qualified ethnic worker it's not in their interest, if they do they will suffer as the competition will take on the employees. Take the football league, some how I doubt the clubs will discriminate against a top goal scorer if he is ethnic, it will not be in their economic interest.

After the grooming scandal I cannot vote Labour, I cannot vote Conservative as they are committed to the EU even though they suggest otherwise and don't forget Thatcher's alleged role in Operation Bluestar, I cannot vote Liberal as they want a free for all in immigration.

I will be holding my nose and voting UKIP. The Lib/Lab/Con parties for far too long have had a monopoly and have become unaccountable. I want managed immigration with immigrants who can bring innovation, build businesses be good employers and employees, good neighbours, offering skills, stability, loyalty to Britain not someone who wants to kill me as I am not of their faith!

I believe in the concept of Sovereign Nation, the EU wants to destroy all cultures by mass immigration and impose Federal laws.

Detectives probe complaint by Louise Mensch against Bradford solicitors

    6:03am Thursday 19th March 2015

    Exclusive By Julie Tickner

DETECTIVES are considering a complaint made by former MP Louise Mensch about two Bradford solicitors alleged to have shared the names and ordeals of victims of a child sex ring.

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) is considering the report made about Alias Yousaf of Chambers Solicitors and another, unnamed, senior solicitor at the same firm.

    Both deny any wrongdoing.

Mr Yousaf represented a defendant in the high profile Rochdale grooming case heard at Liverpool Crown Court in 2012. His client was one of nine men convicted and was jailed for eight years for his part in the abuse.

It has now been alleged that prior to the case reaching trial, Mr Yousaf emailed an unredacted case summary to a member of the public.

Mrs Mensch's complaint to GMP - which handled the grooming case - asks the force to investigate under the Children and Young Persons' Act and the Data Protection Act, as well as consider Contempt of Court laws.

"I've filed a report with Greater Manchester Police against Alias Yousaf," she told the Telegraph & Argus.

Mrs Mensch said the little girls involved deserved privacy.

"The allegations are extraordinarily serious," she added.

Last night a GMP spokesman confirmed: "On Monday, March 16, 2015, Greater Manchester Police received a report relating to an alleged leak of confidential information. The matter is linked to the prosecution of a number of men in a high profile exploitation case in Rochdale in 2011.

"Enquiries into this matter are ongoing."

Last month, Mrs Mensch, the former Conservative MP, for Corby posted Tweets alleging that Mr Yousaf had leaked names of child sex abuse victims. This led to Mr Yousaf sending her a Letter Before Action, a libel protocol, threatening court proceedings and asking for the Tweets to be deleted, payment of £4,000 in legal fees and a compensation proposal.

Mrs Mensch said she had not removed the Tweets and her lawyer had written to Chambers.

The Letter Before Action, seen by the Telegraph & Argus, says Mr Yousaf did not make "unauthorised or deliberate disclosures of any material to any person".

But it does refer to an email and three-page case summary attachment sent "with the express permission and authority of the defendant".

It said that information was sent on the "strict understanding" it would not be shared and used only for research purposes, and adds that a senior solicitor was aware.

Last night, Mr Yousaf told the T&A: "Not only do we deny any wrongdoing, but we have at all times acted in accordance with our professional obligations - any suggestion to the contrary is nonsense and entirely malicious."

Mr Yousaf has also been referred to the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) over the allegations.

The watchdog is also investigating at least two separate complaints about Chambers Solicitors regarding similar Letters Before Action which were recently sent to up to 12 Twitter users on behalf of Bradford West MP George Galloway.

A spokesman for the SRA said it did not usually confirm if a complaint had been made about a particular firm, or how many.

He added: "It is only if disciplinary action it taken against a solicitor that it becomes a matter of public record."

16 March 2015 Last updated at 20:17 Metropolitan Police probed over child abuse 'cover-up' claims

The police watchdog is investigating alleged corruption in the Metropolitan Police, including claims it covered up child sex offences because MPs and police officers were involved.

The Independent Police Complaints Commission is investigating 14 referrals spanning four decades.

It said the claims were of "high-level corruption of the most serious nature".

The Met said it had voluntarily referred the allegations, which arose from an investigation launched in 2012.

The investigation, known as Operation Fairbank, is looking into historical child sex abuse claims involving politicians and other public figures.

Peter Saunders, chief executive of the National Association for People Abused in Childhood (Napac), said the corruption allegations could lead to "absolutely massive" revelations.

He said people calling their helpline had made allegations about "high-profile" people, including politicians, for years and that he had wondered "if the truth was ever going to come out".

Allegations, dating from between 1970 and 2005, being considered by the IPCC include:

    • A potential cover-up linked to "failures to properly investigate child sex abuse offences in south London and further information about criminal allegations against a politician being dropped"
    • A claim that an investigation into young men being targeted at the Dolphin Square flats in Pimlico, south-west London, was halted because "officers were too near prominent people"
    • An allegation that a document from the Houses of Parliament was found at a paedophile's address linking "highly-prominent individuals", including MPs and senior police officers, to a paedophile ring but no further action was taken
    • Alleged alteration of a child sex abuse victim's account to remove the name of a senior politician
    • Alleged child sex abuse by a senior politician and a subsequent cover-up of the alleged crimes
    • Claims that a surveillance operation of a child abuse ring was shut down due to "high-profile people being involved"
    • An allegation that police officers sexually abused a boy and carried out surveillance on him
    'On the cusp'

Labour MP for Rochdale Simon Danczuk told BBC Radio 4's World at One the investigation was a "significant development".

Mr Danczuk, who had been calling for such an inquiry, said: "We are on the cusp of finding out exactly what went on in the 70s and 1980s and, I'm sorry to say, I think it will be shown that senior politicians were involved in abuse and there was a cover up. I think that's inevitable now."

The former Daily Mirror crime correspondent Jeff Edwards has recently been contacted by the police. He says he was told by a detective in the 1980s that an investigation into paedophiles was closed on the orders of a senior politician.

"I think this was a cynical cover up," he said. "There was no doubt in their minds the way they would deal with this was simply to expunge it from the record. As far as they were concerned they could make it go away forever."

Labour MP John Mann has also been providing information.

"Having looked and heard other evidence, spoken to other police officers and those in authority who were stopped from investigating, without question there were repeated attempts, successfully at the time, to stop investigations into prominent people and MPs involved in child abuse," he said.

BBC home affairs correspondent Tom Symonds said the allegations would take "a lot of people and a lot of time to investigate".

"Looking into the past is very difficult and time consuming," he said. "Although we have the allegations, we don't know how strong the evidence is and the key is in the evidence."

The IPCC will "manage" an investigation that was already being conducted by the Met Police's Directorate of Professional Standards into the alleged corruption.

A further two referrals of a similar nature have been received from the Met Police and are being assessed, the IPCC said.

The force said in a statement it "recognised the severity of the allegations, and the importance of understanding whether or not our officers had in the past acted inappropriately".

Peter Garsden, president of the Association of Child Abuse Lawyers, said those who had suffered abuse themselves would want the inquiry to be conducted transparently.

He told the BBC: "They will believe that even this investigation, I suspect, will be yet another cover-up. So it's very difficult to persuade them that everything is being done."

Shadow home secretary Yvette Cooper said: "It is worrying that this is not a fully independent investigation. Instead the Met will lead this work with oversight from the IPCC.

"Surely this should be done by an independent investigator or, at the very least, an alternate force."

The other allegations that form part of the IPCC investigation are:

    • An allegation that an investigation into a paedophile ring that led to a number of convictions did not take action "in relation to other more prominent individuals"
    • A claim that a politician spoke to a senior Metropolitan Police officer to demand no action was taken regarding an alleged paedophile ring in Westminster in the 1970s
    • An allegation that in the late 1970s a surveillance operation that gathered intelligence on a politician being involved in paedophile activities was closed down by a senior Met Police officer
    • A claim that a dossier of allegations against senior figures and politicians accused of being involved in child abuse was taken by Special Branch officers
    • Allegations that a senior officer instructed that a sexual abuse investigation should be halted, with the order having come from "up high" in the Met
    • An alleged conspiracy within the force to prevent a politician suspected of offences from being prosecuted
    • Child sex abuse allegations against a former senior Met Police officer with other "members of the establishment", including judges, alleged to have been involved. It is claimed no further action was taken

16 March 2015 Last updated at 22:30 Cyril Smith child abuse probe 'scrapped after his arrest'By Nick Hopkins and Jake Morris BBC Newsnight

An undercover police operation that gathered evidence of child abuse by Cyril Smith and other public figures was scrapped shortly after the MP was arrested, BBC Newsnight has been told.

The Liberal MP, who died in 2010, was held during a 1980s probe into alleged sex parties with teenage boys in south London, a source told the programme.

He was allegedly released within hours of being taken to a police station.

The Met is looking into the handling of historical child sex abuse cases.

The force would not comment on the details of the allegations about Smith put to them by Newsnight.

A spokesman said it was "investigating allegations that police officers acted inappropriately in relation to non-recent child abuse investigations" however, and asked for anyone with information to come forward.

    'Secrets act' warning

Information has been passed to Newsnight by a former officer, who is familiar with the original investigation and its closure.

The order to scrap the probe, made after Smith and others had been arrested, came from a senior officer whom the undercover team had never met before, according to the source.

Officers were then ordered to hand over all their evidence - including notebooks and video footage - and were warned to keep quiet about the investigation or face prosecution under the Official Secrets Act, it is claimed.

Newsnight has been told the intelligence-led operation is believed to have started in 1981.

It involved a team of undercover regional crime squad officers, including some from Yorkshire who were based in London for the secret inquiry.

The detectives were stationed at Gilmour House, a large police headquarters building in Kennington, south London.

The team allegedly targeted six or more addresses in the south of the capital. One focus was a flat in Coronation Buildings, Lambeth - a run-down tenement block less than a mile from the House of Commons.

During a three-month inquiry, officers working in shifts gathered a substantial amount of evidence of men abusing boys aged around 14, the BBC has been told.

That evidence included pictures and video taken from inside the flat, as a hidden camera had been installed with the help of a caretaker.

Smith is said to have been one of those caught on camera, another being a senior member of Britain's intelligence agencies.

According to an account given to the BBC, Smith was later seized at a property in Streatham, south London, where he had reportedly been taking part in a sex party with teenage boys.

It is understood he was taken to the former Cannon Row police station - which is opposite the House of Commons.

But it was claimed he was released that night and a duty sergeant who wanted to keep him in custody was reprimanded.

The BBC has been told that as well as Smith and the member of the intelligence agencies, the undercover team also had evidence on two senior police officers.

The squad believed that boys from care homes were being provided "to order" for sex parties, but the inquiry was abruptly shelved, the BBC has been told.

The team was called together at Gilmour House and told by a senior officer - whom they had never met before - to hand over their notebooks, photographs and video footage.

They were read passages from the Official Secrets Act to deter them from speaking out, according to one account.

There was a row at the police building but the inquiry was closed and officers were assured Smith "would not be playing a role in public life any more". In fact, he continued as MP for Rochdale until 1992.

Newsnight's source spoke to the programme through an intermediary and is fearful of repercussions because of the scale of the alleged cover-up.

The BBC first approached the Met about the claims in January, but the force has refused to be drawn into providing details on any live inquiry.

Simon Danczuk, the Labour MP who has worked to expose Cyril Smith as a prolific paedophile, said: "Time and again what we have learned more recently is that a number of police officers investigated Smith, up and down the country, and those investigations were quashed and officers were told to stop investigating.

"It is my view that Smith was being protected and being protected by some fairly powerful people.

"He was protected because he knew of other paedophiles in the networks in which he operated and had he been prosecuted, then I think those other people would have been named by Smith and that's why they ensured that he was never put before the courts."

Newsnight asked former Scotland Yard detective Clive Driscoll, who investigated claims of child abuse in Lambeth in the 1980s and 1990s, to examine the allegations.

"I looked at them as I probably would have done when I was a police officer and, on the balance of probabilities, you would have to say they appear very credible," said Mr Driscoll, the officer whose inquiry led to the conviction of Stephen Lawrence's killers.

    'Things to hide'

"Certainly the timing and the type of allegations that are made are ones that the Met would take very, very seriously."

He described the claimed as "very credible and very frightening".

"If you take all of the information that appears to be out there together it does look like collusion with police officers and other agencies to prevent what is a straightforward criminal case," he added.

Labour MP John Mann, who was also a councillor in Lambeth in the 1980s, said of the allegations: "It tells me the cloak of secrecy needs to be taken away but also suggests that there were people with things to hide at the time.

"For whatever reason, whatever judgement was made, there was a cover-up at the time. I don't know why, but it has happened time and again looking at these historic sex abuse cases and prominent people that files disappeared."
