  1. Sikh channel is being influenced by various persons thats why they are not fuly promoting the barsi and dasm granth sehaj paat bhog, we have given them the money it costs, why are they not advertising like they did with lemington spaa and manchester

I personally know how much money has been payed by the sevadaars to bring this smagam to the homes of all sikhs in UK and Europe and as to why is isnt even being advertised to its full potential (as they have done with previosu programs...with the countdowns to live....ad every hour etc ect) is beyond me!

And only to find that the ticker that runs across the bottom fo the screen was only updated today with the barsi details and half heartedly aswel...half the information is missing and no inclusion of who is attending to sing the praises of maharaaj and do katha veechaar!!

    its kinda annoying now!

A large proportion of subscriptions and funding to the Sikh channel comes from west midlands, particularly Birmingham. The channel also benefits from the support of GuruGhar like Smethwick GuruGhar where recordings are done.

The channel also benefits online, with publicity on various prominent websites and encouragement to subscribe and join the channel.

Despite full funding, the fact that there has been inconsistency in giving the Barsi and Sri Dasam Granth Sehaj Paat Programme less publicity than other like-for-like programmes...

will this not give supporters pause for thought?

  2. daas has remained quiet up to now but i have a few questions for channel organisers on the forum:

how can Kulwant Dhesi remain a positive person to have as presenter after comments made on air about Dasam Bani & Darshan Sinh?

is the proportion of youngsters involved in the channel behind the scenes increasing?

if most of the presenters & sewadars are old folks will this mean that the channel will only last as long as they do? what does this mean for the long term viability and future of the channel?

how much do claims today pay for advertising? are any costs of britasia or other firms included in costs presented to sangat?

channel organisers know daas is very supportive of the channel but these are important questions.

on a side note, the Sri Dasam Granth Sehaj Paat is a very positive programme, please do attend and bring all the family. Big well done to the organisers.

  3. channel management were offered video content of Sant Jarnail Singh Ji before the channel was even formed and it was just britasia but their response has remained negative on this.

i highly doubt the existence of any regulation preventing broadcast of his speeches because there are far, far more incendiary speeches broadcast of BNP in the name of "free speech". also channel organisers not only allow broadcast of anti Dasam Bani & Darshan Sinh supporters but allow them to be presenters.

hell even abu "captain hook" hamza & finsbury park madmen got primetime broadcast on mainstream channels

and before anyone says why dont YOU get involved - they have subscriptions from all my families but as far as further involvement goes: been there, done that, no thanks.

  4. i received many hateful pms and responses saying i was a "jatt hater" lol

some people love dharam, others love their lineage.

i wish there was as many responses when a topic is posted on Gurbani or Sewa.

all those people who responded or pm hateful remarks, i am offering you an opportunity to do sewa online for dharmik parchaar. will you accept?

if you are sikh you love all peoples from every community. the problem is we have people running sikh institutions who do not have the mentality of a sikh. they just want to do Prabandh not Parchaar.

until our community does the Social Works e.g:

helping poor farmers who are committing suicide at alarming levels

take funds from construction of marble-facades and new GuruGhar and put it to educating youth

improving environment of punjab based on dharmik thinking, sustainable agriculture, re-planting trees

sikh drug and alcohol rehab treatment centres

    sikh diabetes medical treatment

this would help but SGPC will not do this as they have to ask Badal for permission.

Sects like Sacha Sauda, DJJS are doing parchaar at Grassroots level very effectively.

  5. Mehtab Singh veerji that joke was inappropriate.

Same way as old churches in the west, Do we want to see situation where Deray of Sach Sauda, Ashotosh, etc are buying Ex-GuruGhar buildings in Punjab?

it may just be a publicity stunt. if not at least these are 1000 women who may possibly be helped out of their problems.

Our institutions are entirely controlled by Jatts who themselves or their children have no interest in sikhee. as Ambedkar and many prominent socialists have said, these Jatts do not want to see a situation where poor, "low-caste" people become Sikh as they would join in such numbers as to remove them from power.

We should declare we have NO faith in SGPC and those groups outside punjab should apply pressure that Social Work in Punjab be stepped up for underpriveleged people:

healthcare for the sick needing help

    prisoners

    "low-caste"/poor

education for the needy & switching away from traditional work

    drug addicts

    blood donation

these akali dal/sgpc types and their supporters should get slapped every time they step foot outside punjab.

  6. forget dealing with ashutosh in punjab we cant even counter their propaganda in UK, they have a flat that they operate from in ealing, making fools out of old bibiaan.

they're usually there during the day as they go mandir in the evenings:

    Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan

    020 88411993

    Westway Ct

    Ealing Rd,

    Northolt,

    Middlesex,

    UB5 6AF

if nirankaris can afford to build big mandirs in uk i'm sure it wont be long til these lot also have one.

  7. will Sant Ranjit Singh be more vocal in opposing the current Akali Dal Badal/SGPC/Akal Takht Jathedar status quo?

they are the reason our GuruGhars in punjab have no parchaar, financial mismanagement and have no time to help underpriveleged with their problems.

they arent even human beings let alone sikhs. looking at those prats if i was in punjab i'd probably want to go to pakhandi gurus for help, at least they seem interested, do blood donation camps, offer free schools & cut price food for the poor.

  8. any group that relies solely on controversy to spread their message usually have very little substance and base their entire existence on the inadequacies of the majority.

fact is, we dont read as much Dasam Paathshah Ki Bani as we should.

hence we have nobody else to blame and have no clue how to respond to attacks by people who have hardly read any Bani themselves but throw pointless allegations against our Guru.

if you are indeed genuinely interested in a quick intro to Dasam Bani & associated history:

  9. WJKK WJKF

Veerji you already know this but Online Gurbani is full of errors. Majority of people dont research & blindly accept Gurbani websites as perfect but there are literally countless errors in these websites as they are all manmade.

from the few online sources i've done a little 5 second DIY transliteration botch job:

but the one on http://www.sikhiwiki.org/index.php/Khalsa seems different so am also confused lol

hopefully someone with a lot more knowledge than myself will help on this one as daas only has the online versions to hand as a source at the moment.
