  1. Let them be UK...

Infact take out many of these kind of relics from India and distribute them across the Gurdware in globe...Sikhs belong to this world and not to any particular country.

Guru Ji message should reach each and every corner of the world

I have a personal story of similar type & out of the experience of that I am telling you to keep up the faith in Guru Ji...Keep going to the Gurdwara saab...do loads of seva of sangat and naam jap... Guru Ji will listen to your prayers....

The subject of my personal story is a female and she is doing PHD currently and she also was awarded Gold Medal for topping the university in her masters despite of all the hardships of mental illness and heavy medicine.. You are lucky that you know the name of the ur disease and you are working towards its cure and by the blessing of Guru JI you will be healthy soon.

The subject of my story is not even aware up of the exact problem as she does not talk about it much with the people of the fear of getting exposed to society & rishtedar and lack of any good doctors around...in the start she just had a depression for some academic reason after the finish of her school but it became bad with passage of time but believe me its all her determination and will power along with GuruJi's kirpa that she has overcome 95% of the mental disese...she teaches in local colleges in India for around 8-9 months on adhoc basis and is self sufficient and infact also supports her old parents but some months of the year or some random time, she still faces difficulties...she is also blessed amrit and tries to follow a strict sikh life as much as possible...

    -------------------------------

My chachi told me another story of one of our rishtedar in some pind in punjab

this lady had depression when her baby girl died...she was poor and moreover her husband was alcholic..he used to beat her for lack of money but from one fine day he left home & never returned ....she had another little kid to support..moreover no source of money...but with Guru Ji kirpa she had some uddam in her ....she did small jobs by washing pande and kapre of other people and supported herself with medicine and also raised her son...my chachi says that this lady always used to keep medicine in her one hand where ever she used to go...she never used to miss her medicine for wotever reasons...presently her son is around 20 years old nd works as electrician and she is also fit...

Please be motivated & build an iron will to get better as soon as possible. ... Waheguru will help ..he helps every1

There is also a very well known saying on the same

GOD HELP THOSE WHO HELP THEMSELVES !!

    marfee for any gustakhi

  3. I personally feel GOD created every being with a unique element in them and taught us to leanr and adopt the best out of everyone. Men and women are not created equally. They are different physically and mentally. MArried couples are supposed to be one soul, in two bodies. Its just like the concept of MIRI-PIRI/ SAINT-SOLDIER, two sides of same coin. Men were endowed with physical strength and women with mental. They should each learn from others qualities. And i personally feel, the institution of marriage was created to fill the gap between the traits of two. Women to me has a bigger role as a teacher. Mother is the first and best teacher anyone can get. Even guruji praises the subserviant nature of a bride towards her groom and ask us to be like one with our soul's groom (GOD).

The question of treating women fairly is sure a big no, owing to punjabi culture. Even though the punjabi culture is poisoned with all these male chauvinist practicises, there is a reason, why certain roles has been attributed to both men and women. A father can never be as good as a mother, for the kids. If the idea of equality is to switch their roles in the social fabric, then it is bound to create trouble.

The western society supposedly has high equality among men and women and for that reason they have fair share of problems. On the other hand, punjabi culture is extreme opposite and try to treat women like dirt. There should be a balanced approach. Men and women can never be equal (as humans and not souls). They are destined to rely on other for their own weaknesses and lead this life blissfully.

Very beautiful analysis done here ... d_oh.gif

I was browsing thru the internet, reading different news and then I made a random search of 'Sikhs' on Al Jazeera and came across this topic. I dont know why I feel sad whenever I read or listen that Sikhs are quitting afganistan.

Its very touching that these innocent people have to migrate to india and then their next generation will become corrupt in the indian society, bollywood, schools & other media

I feel they should stay in Afganistan and wait for good times rather than become rich in india and loose their innocence and strong roots with Sikhi.

Even after earning good salary, I feel hollow inside.Sometimes I feel that I should quit everything and live with such people in a remote place like a poor man and no rush to earn more money or any competition. I feel poor are more blessed if they are pakke of taramh and not much exposed to shaitani of the advanced society, especially of India.

  5. Dont worry about getting accepted by Punjabis...Sikhi is not dependent on the punjabies..take it other way and try to accept punjabi sikhs once you will be a sikh from mind to start up with!

Sikhi is more about inside and outside appearace will change in no time if you are sikh from inside

All the best for your journey towards Akal Purak/God!

    Dear Sangat,

A few days back, I read the news about Sikglikar Sikh in south of India here on Sikh Sangat. But the exact picture of these Sikhs is very bad. They are very poor people and do menial work here in south India. Here I am attaching a few pictures of these poor Sikhs. Their houses got washed away with rains some weeks back when there were heavy rains happening in Bombay.

I took these pictures from the notice board of Ulsoor Gurdwara Saab, Bangalore yesterday. These people need our help in terms of education of their children and learning skills so that they can live a respectable life like most of us. Some of their children do kirtan on the Sunday diwan's. Gurdwara Saab has also started a school for their children but they need more support. They provide these children langar and anyone can sponsor a day's meals of these children with Indian Rs 1100.

This school has got the permissions till 8th standard. They need more space & funds for class room building.

I felt like sharing this information with Sikh Sangat world wide so that people may come forward to help Sikhs in need.

pull chuk maff karni ji !!

    Regards n Satsriakal

    Dear Sangat,

A few days back I read a coupla posts of a white convert sikh on here and I somehow was reading different blogs on sikhnet and I again came across her blog. I found her very inspiring person. I spoke to her on MSN a couple of time and today I found out that she is in a kind of stress because of her financial condition right now. She says that her mum died and she needs some money. She is reluctant on asking for any financial help from neone as compares it to begging and she wants me to tell sangat to do ARDAS for her so that she can come out of this situation.

I personally feel in addition to Ardas, we can also help her with some maya (who so ever can afford some).

I feel this is how Guru ji helps His payare beloveds.
