    By comparing both the Tuks, it is clear that there is no difference between

    GOD and GURU( Sant word used as synonym of Guru)

  2. I have yet to understand where in the vastness of Sikh history the first 10 Satgurus ordained their followers to stop regarding Them as Satguru and follow the 'Shabad Guru'. Everyone who wants to tell me about 'Shabad Guru' points to the famous verse in Sidh Gost:

    'Shabad Guru, Surat Dhun Chela..'.

    I ask you this: IF GURU NANAKDEVJI'S OBJECTIVE WAS TO ENJOIN HIS FOLLOWERS TO 'SHABAD GURU' WHY OH WHY DID HE START THE LINEAGE OF HUMAN GURUS? Quotes only from the Gurbani, please. WHY DO THE BHATS STATE CATEGORICALLY WITHIN THE GURBANI THAT IT IS THIS LINEAGE OF HUMAN GURUS, AS ORDAINED BY ".. AADH PURAKH.." THAT WILL SEE OUT THIS AGE OF KALYUG? .

    In His opening verse of Chaubis Avtaar Guru Gobind singh ji writes:

    '...Jab, Jab hott arist apaara, tab, tab Dhe dharat Avtaara...

    That means Nirgun becomes Sargun.

    I didnot find anywhere in Sikh History where Guruji mentioned that There would be No DehDhari Guru(Sargun Avtar) after 10 Patshahis. It is very very very true that Guruji gave His Guruship to SGGSji(Nirgun). That Does not mean that SGGSji would never give Guruship in Future.

    You are a Namdhari /Kooka and that is why you are questioning the Shabad Guru .

    Yuo are follower of a Dehdhari guru and will always remain misinterpreting Gurbani

    in your own way and Guru Nanak Dev ji has told us for people like this :-

    " Jiseh bhulavan vaatarhi tisehe dikhave kaun."

    than who are we to guide people like you to stop DEHDHARI guru pooja and follow Shabad

    Guru only.

    I can only say that Guru Amar Dass ji told:-

    "Vaho vahu BAANI Nirankaar hae Tis jevad avare na koe."

    And Guru RAM DAS JI also told :-

    " BAANI GURU GURU HAE BAANI VICH BAANI AMRIT SAARE."

    And Guru Arjan Dev ji also told :-

    "Dhur ki Baani aaee ,Tin sagli chint mitaaee."

    and

    "Ehu Baani jo jeeahu jaane ,Tis antare rave har nama "

    And in Sarab Loh Granth Guru Gobind Singh ji mentions:-

    "Aapan pou gur khalse deena,Duteea roop Satguruu Granthha.

    Bolan satguru sabad sanbhakhan, Naam gubind keertan samthaa.

    Gunanuvaad pun sifate salahan, Outhhat bethhat sen karanthha.

    Pavan panthh Khalsa pragtyo, Char baran asram subh panthha. 370.

    En ko daras Satgur ko darsan Bolan Guruu Sabad Gur Granthha.

    Dwadas roop satgur ae kaheeat, Dwadas bhan pragat har santa.

    Partakh kalaa parbraham dhani chhe, Granthh Panthh Khalsa vartanta.

    Dass Gobind Fateh Satgur ki Khalsa Granthh GUR roop When badantaa. 371.

    Read the blue colour lines carefully and see that Guru Gobind Singh ji says

    that when you want to see (Darshan of )Satguru Darshan of Khalsa is SATGUR

    DARSHAN and if you want to listen to SATGUR , than listen to Bachan of Guru

    GRANTH Sahib JI.

    What else proof a submissive Sikh needs to see or know.

    does anyone know where Bhai Chaupa Singhs rehtnama regarding Gurgadhi is recorded? i have already khow of Bhai Prahlad Singhs one, but thats in Giani Gian Singhs tavareek khalsa. wats the oldest source to mention SGGS as eternal Guroo?

    There is a book named "REHATNAME" edited by "Prof. Pyara Singh Padam" where in

    14 Rehatname including the one of Bhaee Chaupa Singh have been given .The book

    is being published by Singh Bros. Amritsar Saheb since 1974.

    By the teachings of the Guru many become disciples of the Guru, but some rare one becomes the Guru like that Guru.

    Shabad surat chaela guroo paramaeshar soee||

    Only the practitioner of the word and consciousness can attain the status of Guru-God.

    ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਿ ਧਿਆਨ ਧਰ ਗੁਰੁ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਹੋਈ॥

    Darashan drishatt dhhian dhhar gur moorat hoee||

    Such a disciple concentrating on the philosophy of the Guru (and making it a part of daily conduct) himself becomes a likeness of Guru.

    ਸ਼ਬਦ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਕਰ ਕੀਰਤਨ ਸਤਸੰਗ ਵਿਲੋਈ॥

    Shabad surat kar keeratan satasang viloee||

    Making his consciousness attentive to Word through recitation of Naam, he merges in the holy congregation.

    ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਗੁਰੂ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਹੈ ਜਪ ਹਉਮੈਂ ਖੋਈ॥

    Wahiguru guru mantra hai jap houmain khoee||

    His Guru-manta is Vahiguru, whose recitation erases egotism.

    ਆਪ ਗਵਾਏ ਆਪ ਹੈ ਗੁਣ ਗੁਣੀ ਪਰੋਈ ॥੨॥

    Aap gavaeae ap hai gun gunee paroee ||a||

    Losing egotism and merging into the qualities of the supreme Lord, he himself becomes full of qualities.

  6. you are proving to me that you dont pay any attention while doing paath.

    there are 3 sodars in guru granth sahib ji, and all 3 are differnt. too bad you dont pay attention.

    the sohela's that are repeated are also differnt from the ones before.

    k singh deep, you say you have 27 years of gurbani? which is also another lie, i think its more like 27 days maybe. you talk all this smart talk, but ur post prove your not that clever as you try to be.

    Under head SODAR there are following shabads:-

    (i)Sodar Raag Asaa mehla pehla

    (ii)Assa Mehla pehla (sun vaddaa aakhai sabh koe)

    (iii)Assa Mehla pehla(aakhaa jeevaa visarai mar jaao )

    (iv)Raag Goojaree mehla choutha(har kae jan sathigur sathapurakhaa bino karo gur paas)

    (v)Raag Goojaree mehla punjva (kaahae rae man chithavehi oudham jaa aahar har jeeo pariaa)

    (vi) Raag Aasaa, Mehla chautha ,So Purakh

    (vii)Aasaa, Mehla chautha (toon karathaa sachiaar maiddaa saaee)

    (viii)Assa Mehla pehla (titu saravararrai bheelae nivaasaa paanee paavak tinehe keeaa)

    (ix)Assa Mehla punjva(bhaee paraapat maanukh daehureeaa}

    and so is Sohela.

    And now you are free to qute sakhis told by "Sants "AND Mahapuarakhs" to proove that why there are some minor changes wich have been, and why have been done by Guru sahib ji.

    I just know that we need no justification on the things done by Guru Sahib ji and whatever our GURUS have done that has been done within the holy HUKAM of AKAAL PURAKH. GURBANI is Dhur ki Bani ; Khasam ki Bani

    and Nirankaar Saroop BUT moorakhs like me and similars think that it is literature :-

    " Log jaane ehu geet hae ,Eh tao Braham beechar."

    and

    "JESI ME AAVE KHASAM KI BAANI TESRA KARI BEAAN VE LAALO"

    AND

    "Vaho vaho Bani Nirankar hae , Tis jevad avar na koe."

    O.k. I have no problem . I will just keep on reciting and enjoying the Gurbani (script written by my FIFTH AND DASAM LORD) which is GURU GRANTH Sahib JI.

    I need not to know why there are some minor changes in the similar Shabads which appears at 2 or 3 different places but the fact is that the same is done by Guru Saheb themselves .I need to know only:-

    " Gurbaani gaavaho bhaaee,

    Ohu safal sada sukhdaaee."

    and

    Gaviye suniye munn rakhiehe bhao,

    dukh par har sukh ghar le jae."

    and

    "Ayohu sunan pana kau baani,"

    and thats all I will keep on reading and listening Gurbani and try to understand it as far as I can by the grace and blessings of my lord Dhan Guru Granth Saheb ji.

    I beg your pardon with folded hands if I have said some thing wrong and against the teachings of my Lord.

    Here and hereafter, I seek Your Protection. ||3||

    ਮੋਹਿ ਨਿਰਗੁਣ ਗੁਣੁ ਕਿਛੂ ਨ ਜਾਤਾ ॥

    Mohe niragun gun kichhoo n jata ||

    I am without virtue; I know none of Your Glorious Virtues.

    I am just a poor beggar of Yours; You are Your Own Lord Master, You are the Great Giver.

    ਹੋਹੁ ਦੈਆਲ ਨਾਮੁ ਦੇਹੁ ਮੰਗਤ ਜਨ ਕੰਉ ਸਦਾ ਰਹਉ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤਾ ॥੧॥

    Hohu deiaal nam daehu mangat jan kano sada reho rang rata ||1||

    Be Merciful, and bless me, a humble beggar, with Your Name, so that I may forever remain imbued with Your Love. ||1||

    Haon baliharai jao sachae taerae nam vittahu ||

    I am a sacrifice to Your Name, O True Lord.

    ਕਰਣ ਕਾਰਣ ਸਭਨਾ ਕਾ ਏਕੋ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਦੂਜਾ ਕੋਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

    Karan karan sabhana ka eaeko avar n dooja koee ||1|| rehao ||

    The One Lord is the Cause of causes; there is no other at all. ||1||Pause||

    ਬਹੁਤੇ ਫੇਰ ਪਏ ਕਿਰਪਨ ਕਉ ਅਬ ਕਿਛੁ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕੀਜੈ ॥

    Bahutae faer peae kirapan ko ab kichhu kirapa keejai ||

    I was wretched; I wandered through so many cycles of reincarnation. Now, please bless some of Grace.

    ਹੋਹੁ ਦਇਆਲ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਦੇਹੁ ਅਪੁਨਾ ਐਸੀ ਬਖਸ ਕਰੀਜੈ ॥੨॥

    Hohu daeial darasan daehu apuna aisee bakhas kareejai ||2||

    Be merciful, and grant me the Blessed Vision of Your Darshan; please grant me such a gift. ||2||

    Tuu jal thhal gagan payaal poor rehyaa anmrit tae meethae jaa kae bachanaa ||

    You are pervading and permeating the water, land, skies and nether regions; Your Words are sweeter than Ambrosial Nectar.

  11. K Singh Deep.... Please donot twist the meanings of Gurbani for ur Sake. If Guruji wanted to do seva of Satguru, then Guru ji could have mentioned Guru in the Above Gurbani tuks. Guruji SPecifically mentioned SANT and Daas of the Gurmukhs.

    You are Totally confused about Gurbani, either you do it Intentionally or donot understand the Meaning of Gurbani.

I have no doubt and fully agree that you have understood Gurbani 100% and you and your other friends supporting you are fully competent enough to declare that a person specific is totally confused about Gurbani, either does it Intentionally or do not understand the Meaning of Gurbani.( may he be of your fathers age and doing Dharam parchar ,and had been participating in Seva of Punj Pyare for Amrit Sanchaar for the years more than that of your age).   12. Guru Sahib does say "Har, Harjan, Dooe Ek Hai". In reality, a true Sant has reached the avastha of becoming One with Akaal Purakh, but they still have a sareer - Jeevan Mukt.

    Sant is not the name of the physical sareer, but of the sooksham sareer.

    Har maeree preet reet hai har maeree har maeree kathhaa kehaanee jee ||

    The Lord is my Love, the Lord is my way of life, the Lord is my speech and conversation.

    ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨੁ ਭੀਜੈ ਏਹਾ ਸੇਵ ਬਨੀ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

    Gur prasaade maeraa manu bheejai eaehaa saev banee jeeo ||1|| rehaao ||

    By Guru's Grace, my mind is saturated with the Lord's Love; this is what makes up my service. ||1||Pause||

    ਹਰਿ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਿਮ੍ਰਿਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਾਸਤ੍ਰ ਹਰਿ ਮੇਰਾ ਬੰਧਪੁ ਹਰਿ ਮੇਰਾ ਭਾਈ ॥

    Har maeraa simrite har maeraa saasatar har maeraa bandhhap har maeraa bhaaee ||

    The Lord is my Simritees, the Lord is my Shaastras; the Lord is my relative and the Lord is my brother.

    ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਮੈ ਭੂਖ ਲਾਗੈ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨੁ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤੈ ਹਰਿ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਾਕੁ ਅੰਤਿ ਹੋਇ ਸਖਾਈ ॥੨॥

    Har kee mai bhookh laagai har naam maeraa man tripatai har maeraa saak ante hoe sakhaaee ||2||

    I am hungry for the Lord; my mind is satisfied with the Name of the Lord. The Lord is my relation, my helper in the end. ||2||

    ਹਰਿ ਬਿਨੁ ਹੋਰ ਰਾਸਿ ਕੂੜੀ ਹੈ ਚਲਦਿਆ ਨਾਲਿ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥

    Har bin hor raas koorree hai chaladiaa naal na jaaee ||

    Without the Lord, other assets are false. They do not go with the mortal when he departs.

    ਹਰਿ ਮੇਰਾ ਧਨੁ ਮੇਰੈ ਸਾਥਿ ਚਾਲੈ ਜਹਾ ਹਉ ਜਾਉ ਤਹ ਜਾਈ ॥੩॥

    Har maeraa dhhan maerai saathh chaalai jehaa ho jaao teh jaaee ||3||

    The Lord is my wealth, which shall go with me; wherever I go, it will go. ||3||

    ਸੋ ਝੂਠਾ ਜੋ ਝੂਠੇ ਲਾਗੈ ਝੂਠੇ ਕਰਮ ਕਮਾਈ ॥

    So jhoothaa jo jhoothae laagai jhoothae karam kamaaee ||

    One who is attached to falsehood is false; false are the deeds he does.

    ਕਹੈ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਭਾਣਾ ਹੋਆ ਕਹਣਾ ਕਛੂ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥੪॥੨॥੪॥

    Kehai naanak har kaa bhaanaa hoaa kehanaa kachhoo na jaaee ||4||2||4||

    Says Nanak, everything happens according to the Will of the Lord; no one has any say in this at all.

    Here Gurbani says "Har kee tum saevaa karahu doojee saevaa karahu na koe jee"

    and

    Gurbani also tells us "GUR PARMESHAR EKO JAAN" means we should do seva ofeither Guru Saheb

    or HAR(Akaal Purakh or Parmeshar or God whatever we may call) and therefore when Guru Saheb tell

    us"ਸੰਤਕੀਸੇਵਾਨਾਮੁਧਿਆਈਐ " or "ਕਬੀਰਸੇਵਾਕਉਦੁਇਭਲੇਏਕੁਸੰਤੁਇਕੁਰਾਮੁ ॥ ਰਾਮੁਜੁਦਾਤਾਮੁਕਤਿਕੋਸੰਤੁਜਪਾਵੈਨਾਮੁ ॥" we must under stand

    that Guru Saheb is asking for seva of SANT (sATGURU ) and not any other human being.Where ever

    Guru ji wanted to say about Gursikhs or Great Sikhs , it is mentioned as "sevak" or "Dass" as:-

    "ਪਾਣੀ ਪਖਾ ਪੀਸੁ ਦਾਸ ਕੈ ਤਬ ਹੋਹਿ ਨਿਹਾਲੁ ॥"

    Panee pakha pees dass kai tab hohe nihalu ||

    Carry water for the Lord's slave, wave the fan over him, and grind his corn; then, you shall be happy.

    and

    "ਟਹਲ ਕਰਉ ਤੇਰੇ ਦਾਸ ਕੀ ਪਗ ਝਾਰਉ ਬਾਲ ॥ "

    Tehal karo taerae daas kee pag jharo bal ||

    I perform service for Your slave, O Lord, and wipe his feet with my hair.

    and

    ਗੁਰਸਿਖੀ ਭਾਣਾ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਪਾਰਿ ਲੰਘਾਇ ॥

    gurasikhee bhaanaa manniaa gur pooraa paar langhaae ||

    The Sikhs of the Guru accept and obey the Lord's Will; the Perfect Guru carries them across.

    ਗੁਰਸਿਖਾਂ ਕੀ ਹਰਿ ਧੂੜਿ ਦੇਹਿ ਹਮ ਪਾਪੀ ਭੀ ਗਤਿ ਪਾਂਹਿ ॥

    gurasikhaan kee har dhhoorr dhaehi ham paapee bhee gath paanhi ||

    O Lord, please bless me with the dust of the feet of the Guru's Sikhs. I am a sinner - please save me.

    and

    ਸੇਵਕ ਕੀ ਓੜਕਿ ਨਿਬਹੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ॥

    saevak kee ourrak nibehee preeth ||

    The love which the Lord's servant feels for the Lord lasts forever.

    ਜੀਵਤ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਸੇਵਿਓ ਅਪਨਾ ਚਲਤੇ ਰਾਖਿਓ ਚੀਤਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

    jeevath sahib saeviou apana chalathae rakhiou cheetIn my life, I served my Lord and Master, and as I depart, I keep Him enshrined in my consciousness.

    When ever Gurbani says to do seva of SANT, Iit means seva of SATGURU or satguru ki sadh sangat or group of sikhs and not any Individual as Singular Person.

  13. Guru Sahib does say "Har, Harjan, Dooe Ek Hai". In reality, a true Sant has reached the avastha of becoming One with Akaal Purakh, but they still have a sareer - Jeevan Mukt.

    Sant is not the name of the physical sareer, but of the sooksham sareer.

    Guru Granth Saheb also tells us:-

    "Tera jan ek aadh koee"

    and every one can not be called JAN if GURUBANI says EK AADH KOEE

    Shastr you are completely mistaken in your statement above. With the replies which have been posted it shows that very few people on this forum have even completed a sehj paath, since no-one has picked up this very simple point

    In gurbani at numerous places you get mool mantar from Ik Onkar to Gurparshad repeated with no changes at all.

    I would urge you all to read Gurbani instead of debating if Sri Chand quoted a salok in Sukhmani Sahib or not, since the answer to the debate is not going to change anything. If you believe he did good for you, if you believe he did not good for you too.

    can you plz show any any gurbani di pantki that is wirtten exactly the same in 2 differnt places? any pankti? and maha mantar does not count, thats mangal form of shabad, itswritten in gurbani hundreds of times, but where does a shabad pankti repeat it self anywhere in guru granth sahib ji? if it does repeat, there is a slight change, weather that be in a lagamatra, or 1 or 2 akhars. but can you plz show me which 2 panktis are wirtten twice in guru granth sahib ji exactly the same way. and yet ur the one whos completed a sehaj paath huh? lets see.........

    In GURU GRANTH Sahib, after JAP (Japji sahib) the next bani comes SODAR and than comes Sohela.

    All the shabads of SODAR and SOHELA are repeated in the text of GURU GRANTH SAHIB JI.

    Please do sehaj pathh with a reading speed of not more than 12 ang an hour and than try to

    sabh sukh paragattiaa dhukh dhoor paraaeiaa raam ||

    Total happiness was revealed, and pain was taken far away.

    ਸੁਖ ਸਹਜ ਅਨਦ ਬਿਨੋਦ ਸਦ ਹੀ ਗੁਨ ਗੁਪਾਲ ਨਿਤ ਗਾਈਐ ॥

    sukh sehaj anadh binodh sadh hee gun gupaal nith gaaeeai ||

    Peace, tranquility, joy and eternal happiness come from constantly singing the Glorious Praises of the Sustainer of the World.

    ਭਜੁ ਸਾਧਸੰਗੇ ਮਿਲੇ ਰੰਗੇ ਬਹੁੜਿ ਜੋਨਿ ਨ ਧਾਈਐ ॥

    bhaj saadhhasangae milae rangae bahurr jon n dhhaaeeai ||

    Joining the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, I lovingly remember the Lord; I shall not wander again in reincarnation.

    ਗਹਿ ਕੰਠਿ ਲਾਏ ਸਹਜਿ ਸੁਭਾਏ ਆਦਿ ਅੰਕੁਰੁ ਆਇਆ ॥

    gehi kanth laaeae sehaj subhaaeae aadh ankur aaeiaa ||

    He has naturally hugged me close in His Loving Embrace, and the seed of my primal destiny has sprouted.

    ਬਿਨਵੰਤ ਨਾਨਕ ਆਪਿ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਬਹੁੜਿ ਕਤਹੂ ਨ ਜਾਇਆ ॥੫॥੪॥੭॥

    binavanth naanak aap miliaa bahurr kathehoo n jaaeiaa ||5||4||7||

    Prays Nanak, He Himself has met me, and He shall never again leave me. ||5||4||7||

  18. There are two types of Sant/Gurmukhs. One who do Naam Bandgi in their entire life and worldly people like us doesnot come to know them; they remain engrossed in NAAm.they are manu puran sant whose name we donot even know/ And others Who do naam bandagi and come for specific task(Like Sant Jarnail singh ji Bhindrawale, Sant Attar singh ji,Sant Isher Singh ji). They come time to time to establish Naam bandgi ritual in the world. they are True KHASLA(as mentioned Raj Karega Khalsa(pure souls).

    Thus we donot have those eyes to say whether He/She is a true sant or not. Therefore it is better to give respect to all(young and older) instead debating over who is Sant or not. True sant would never say that He is a Sant even when He is in Raj yog Avastha or Bhairag yog avstha.

    We do Ninda of few sant who have lot of cars, wear expensive clothes and so on. But we should remember that They do Naam Bandgi and all those materialistic(apart from Spiritual) thing are results of their Naam Kamai. Instead We should learn some lessons from their Naam Karni. Even Raja janak was a Satguru of his time(in bhagat mala Sakhi). He had a Raj yog but still from his Antar Aatma he lived a life of a true sant even though People saw him as a King.

    Just imagine what would be the condition ofthis Earth If god doenot send Sant/Mahapursh on Earth. They come to establish the True Paath of SGGSJI(from time to time). Choudan Jame Satgur Hova, Sattar Bhagat Daar, Chaurasi Jame pehar ke Kalyug karon Udhar.

    RAJA JANAK was not SATGURU ,but was Bhagat, as is told by bhai Gurdaas ji:-

    ਭਗਤੁ ਵਡਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਜਨਕੁ ਹੈ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਮਾਇਆ ਵਿਚਿ ਉਦਾਸੀ ।

    Bhagatu vadaa raajaa janaku hai guramukhi maaiaa vichi udaasee|

    (Vaar 10, Pauri 5)

    King Janak was a great Bhagat who amidst maya remained indifferent to it.

    However I have not to do any debate with you because you are diversifying

    the theme of the topic by doing "anarthh" (wrong meaning) of the quotes

    and misinterpretating taking shelter of the Great legend Gursikhs name.

    Changa nav rakhaae ke jas keerat jag lei,

    Nanak nirgun gun kare gunvantya gun dei.

    Teha koe na sujhaee je tis gun koe karei.

    (i) " Sant anantehe anter naahi"

    (ii)" Gur Parmeshar eko Jaan"

    (iii) "Hamro bhartaa bado bibeki ,Aphe Sant kahaavehe"

    From above qutes it is evident that there is no difference between SANT ,GURU and

    PARMESHAR /AKAALPURAKH. we all agree on the point that GURU or SATGURU is the

    another converted roop of Akaal Purakh but we ,if agree that human being may be Sant,

    can not agree on the point that SANT is the roop of SATGURU or AKAAL PURAKH because

    Gurbani says :-

    "Har jesa Purakh na labhaee sabh dekheya jagat me tole"

    However there are so many great Gursikhs with whom we add the word SANT.

    We before using this word must ensure wheather the person to whom

    we are going to call SANT ,is a tyagi of Maaya (and does not have heavy Bank balance)

    like GURU GOBIND sINGH JI who , before leaving ANANDPUR SAHIB ordered to throw all the

    money and jewellery etc, in river Satlaj. He must not be affectionative to himself and his family

    (being guarded by armed body guards ) and should be fearless. He should not have any ill feeling

    within his mind, brain and heart about any person or religion or any sector of society and must

    possess AMIYE DRISHTI like:-

    "Hindu O Turak kou Rafazi Imam Saafi, Manas ki jaat sabe eke pehechanbo."

  22. ਕਬੀਰ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਉ ਦੁਇ ਭਲੇ ਏਕੁ ਸੰਤੁ ਇਕੁ ਰਾਮੁ ॥

    kabeer saeva ko dhue bhalae eaek santh eik ram ||

    Kabeer, it is good to perform selfless service for two - the Saint and the Lord.

    ਰਾਮੁ ਜੁ ਦਾਤਾ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਕੋ ਸੰਤੁ ਜਪਾਵੈ ਨਾਮੁ ॥੧੬੪॥

    ram j dhatha mukath ko santh japavai nam ||164||

    The Lord is the Giver of liberation, and the Saint inspires us to chant the Naam. ||164||

    Here sANT means GURU .For further clarification please read the foot note on page 302

    of AMRIT KIRTAN POTHI as under:-

    "Gurbani vich ek vachan(singular form) roop vich SANT pad (word)keval GURU laee aya he, atte

    jithhe kithhe bahu vachan (plural form ) vich SANT word di warton kiti gayee he, othhe Guru ke

    sanmukhiNaam Rang Ras Ratte Gursikhan de samooh (group)di taraf ishara he, par kaee thaaeen

    bahu vachan satikaar vajon Satguru laee hi hai."

    Here is another Shabad about SANT

    ਕਾਨੜਾ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥

    kanarra mehala 5 (Ang 1299 Sri guru Granth Saheb ji )

    ਸੰਤਨ ਪਹਿ ਆਪਿ ਉਧਾਰਨ ਆਇਓ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

    Santhan pehe aap oudhharan aeiou ||1|| rehao ||

    I have come to the Saints to save myself. ||1||Pause||

    ਦਰਸਨ ਭੇਟਤ ਹੋਤ ਪੁਨੀਤਾ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੁ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਇਓ ॥੧॥

    Darasan baettath hott puneeta har har manthra dhrirraeiou ||1||

    Gazing upon the Blessed Vision of their Darshan, I am sanctified; they have implanted the Mantra of the Lord, Har, Har, within me. ||1||

    ਕਾਟੇ ਰੋਗ ਭਏ ਮਨ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਅਉਖਧੁ ਖਾਇਓ ॥੨॥

    Kattae rog bheae man niramal har har aoukhadhh khaeiou ||2||

    The disease has been eradicated, and my mind has become immaculate. I have taken the healing medicine of the Lord, Har, Har. ||2||

    ਅਸਥਿਤ ਭਏ ਬਸੇ ਸੁਖ ਥਾਨਾ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਨ ਕਤਹੂ ਧਾਇਓ ॥੩॥

    Asathhith bheae basae sukh thhana bahur n kathehoo dhhaeiou ||3||

    I have become steady and stable, and I dwell in the home of peace. I shall never again wander anywhere. ||3||

    ਸੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਤਰੇ ਕੁਲ ਲੋਗਾ ਨਾਨਕ ਲਿਪਤ ਨ ਮਾਇਓ ॥੪॥੭॥

    Santh prasadh tarae kul loga naanak lipat na maeiou ||4||7||

    By the Grace of the Saints, the people and all their generations are saved; O Nanak, they are not engrossed in Maya. ||4||7||

    Here the qualities mentioned ,can not be found in a huma n being but in Satguru only.

  23. Women are not allowed into the langar, nor are they allowed to read from Guru Granth Sahib Ji?

    The above statement doesnt seem according to gurmat. Guru Sahib Jee would never stop any gursikh regardless of gender to serve in the langar. If we look at Gurbanee the Gurus Word, Mata Khivee Jee did seva in the langar, during the period of 5 Guru Sahibans. She is even mentioned in Gurbanee of Satguru Granth Sahib Jee in Ramakalee Kee Vaar. Her seva in the Langar is so sweet when one eats the langar it is like Amrit Rass.

    How is one suppose to make there jeevan safal if they are not allowed to read Gurbanee from a Saroop?

    If Guru Sahibs eyes we are all women as we are referred to as a Sohangnee which means wife, and Vaheguroo is the husband the beloved that we should have pyaas to meet. So there should be no need for gender discrimination.

    The Jathedar and nihung Sikhs are celibate?

    The Guroo Sahibans got married and had children, they did this to show us how to live and act according to Gurmat. If the whole panth goes celibate, then how will it grow. How will more laadlee-faujees be born?

    In sri GURU GRANTH Saheb ji there is reference that Mata KHIVI JI (Wife of Guru ANGAD DEV JI )

    herself was making langar and distributing Langar amongst Sangat :-

    ਬਲਵੰਡ ਖੀਵੀ ਨੇਕ ਜਨ ਜਿਸੁ ਬਹੁਤੀ ਛਾਉ ਪਤ੍ਰਾਲੀ ॥

    Balavandd kheevee naek jan jis bahuthee shhaao pathraalee ||

    Balwand says that Khivi, the Guru's wife, is a noble woman, who gives soothing, leafy shade to all.

    ਲੰਗਰਿ ਦਉਲਤਿ ਵੰਡੀਐ ਰਸੁ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਖੀਰਿ ਘਿਆਲੀ ॥

    Langar dhoulath vanddeeai ras anmrith kheer ghiaalee ||

    She distributes the bounty of the Guru's Langar; the kheer - the rice pudding and ghee, is like sweet ambrosia.

    ਗੁਰਸਿਖਾ ਕੇ ਮੁਖ ਉਜਲੇ ਮਨਮੁਖ ਥੀਏ ਪਰਾਲੀ ॥

    Gurasikhaa kae mukh oujalae manamukh thheeeae paraalee ||

    The faces of the Guru's Sikhs are radiant and bright; the self-willed manmukhs are pale, like straw.

    ਪਏ ਕਬੂਲੁ ਖਸੰਮ ਨਾਲਿ ਜਾਂ ਘਾਲ ਮਰਦੀ ਘਾਲੀ ॥

    Pae kabool khasanm naal jaan ghaal maradhee ghaalee ||

    The Master gave His approval, when Angad exerted Himself heroically.

    ਮਾਤਾ ਖੀਵੀ ਸਹੁ ਸੋਇ ਜਿਨਿ ਗੋਇ ਉਠਾਲੀ ॥੩॥

    Maata kheevee sahu soe jin goe outhaalee ||3||

    Such is the Husband of mother Khivi; He sustains the world. ||3||
