  1. Vaheguru Jee Ka Khalsa, Vaheguru Jee Kee Fateh! The Sikh Soc's of the West Midlands along with BOSS are organising a fantastic trip to the largest theme park in the UK... ALTON TOWERS! On Sunday 30th October, (the last day before the park closes for the winter) coaches full of Singhs & Singnees will be making their way down to Alton Towers for a day full of fun, fireworks, food and everything else you could possible expect from a day out like this!   2. WEST MIDLAND’S “BITESIZE SIKHI” SEASON 05! Wednesday 9th Feb- Wednesday 16st Feb Following the great success we have had during the last year, West Midland Sikh Soc’s now present to you the “BiteSize Sikhi” Season!! This is a series of three events; one of which is an inspiring talk, the second a day of paintballing and the third is Spiritual Vibes – a truly enlightening evening of devotional songs with translations in English. Following the recent Tsunami which shook the world in December 2004, this is your chance to make a difference. You will have the opportunity to hear first hand how Sikhs are helping in the relief aid at the talk held on the 9th Feb at UCE and you will also be able to join in prayer with the rest of the West Midland Sikh Students at the Keertan on Campus event. Also, at these two events, you will have the opportunity to donate any money towards the aid. Attached is the main poster, detailing where and when each event is being held. Ravinder Singh has travelled to places such as Kosovo and Congo and has recently returned from some of the worst hit areas in Asia. Discussions will focus on the importance of Seva (volunteering) in Sikhi. It will also provide information how YOU can help the cause. Not to be missed! After last years paintball massacre, everyone can’t wait to get back on the battle field!! Tickets are £25 for Sikh Society members. This includes 300 paintballs, all the necessary equipment, lunch and transport. (For general info: 07740 823103) SPIRITUAL VIBES WED 16TH Feb: 3PM ONWARDS UNIVERSITY OF WOLVERHAMPTON: MU BUILDING, ROOM MU318 Spiritual Vibes is a keertan event with a difference which offers a totally spiritual enlightening experience. It’s done on campus to give all students the opportunity to get together and sing the Guru’s praises! As well as listening to the words of the Guru, there will also be an opportunity for students to do Keertan themselves and to listen to some inspiring stories told live. Weds 24th Nov- Weds 1st Dec Following on the success of previous weeks, the famous Sikhi Weeks of the West Midlands is back and boy is it going to be bigger then ever! With displays, talks, fairs, a classical music concert and a massive langar event this week promises to be the best yet. Attached is the poster for the week and a short description of each event. FRI 26TH NOV: 11-3PM UNIVERSITY OF BIRMINGHAM: OUTSIDE THE CLOCK TOWER The aim is to provide a free meal to as many people as possible on campus in celebration of Guru Nanak Dev jee’s Gurpurb. Langar will be served in a large marquee in the middle of campus. As much help as possible is needed for this event, so come along to partake in seva in a unique way! Event will include videos, slideshows and musical explanations..
