Have been using iGurbani quite a bit since yesterday. Great app. Gives a large number of options /preferences.

An appeal to the developers - kindly add a means to copy a whole sabad or maybe even a single line so that it can be used to copy/paste to other documents.

Thousands of Sikhs wearing dastars (without helmet) in Singapore and Malaysia have been riding around on bikes for more than 50 years (Since they got independence from the British). I do not know of any case where a helmet would have been more helpful than a dastaar in an accident.

If you are staying at the serai, don't place took much hopes on your advanced booking. Unfortunately it is easily "misplaced" etc etc.

This is particularly so during Gurpurabs and major events - where people with connections (politicians etc) are given priority over the Sangat.

Try Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Niwas and if somehow you do not get any rooms, there is one hotel directly opposite and another nearby.

Personally I prefer Le Golden Hotel as it is very near to the Clock Tower. It belongs to a Gursikh and advanced booking can be done. Also, if you have hotel booking, your vehicle is allowed to travel right up to the hotel (Roads nearby are closed during peak hours and you have to WALK with your luggage if you get there during those hours or transfer to a rickshaw - Policemen on duty actually called the hotel to ask if there is a booking under my name).

Carry your passport with you at all times.

lol thanks for that info, but what i mean is how can you download many things... for example... i can download about 5 shabads which are about 15 or 20mb at once but then when i want to download another one i have to wait until one of them is downloaded so the other one comes up allowing me to save it, can you see what i mean? lol

If you are using Firefox, manipulate some hidden settings. This will also speedup things in Firefox

Type about:config in the address bar.

Now search for max-connections and you should see:

network.http.max-connections: Change this to 48.(double click on the entry to change it)

network.http.max-connections-per-server: Change this to 20 .

Finally restart Firefox.

BTW, there lots of other panga you could do with on the about:config page. Just make sure you know what you are changing.

THat Tab is not available in my Itunes Application.

Normally the applications tab does not show. It will only show AFTER you have CLICKED ON YOUR IPOD (in the left bar under devices) in the iTunes window.

If you still don't get it, then I'm not sure why. I only use the iphone.

Really wish all the software developers out there could create a software that makes it easy to follow along while listening to an Akhand Paath Sahib.

I believe the only one that can do so is Gurbani Anywhere. The problem with that software is that the text is too small to really follow. If you zoom in, the text goes out of the window and lots of scrolling is required.

Also, it would really help if wide screen mode can implemented (in iphone by turning the iphone).

I need help, I download ISIkhi from Itunes Website in my Laptop. How to transfer that application to my IPOD Touch????

Not sure about ipod touch but i would assume its the same as ipod classic or iphone -->

- open the itunes application

- connect the ipod to your laptop via usb, wait a while until the ipod shows as one of the devices on the left hand side of iTunes

- click on your ipod in iTunes

- click on the applications tab at the top

- tick on all or select the applications that you want to send to your ipod

- tick on SYNC (bottom right)

- Wait for SYNC to complete and eject your ipod

All this is coming from memory. Hope nothing has been left out :rolleyes:

not possible have to use itunes. its easy, just make playlists and click and drag.

Yes, you can use itunes.

Once you have connected the iphone to your pc (I'm not sure about Mac),

wait till the iphone shows on the left panel under the heading DEVICES and click on it.

Then click on the MUSIC tap and tick the SYNC box.

Then tick on the second option (Selected playlists, artists and gneres).

Then select all the kirtan that you want to upload to your iphone. While ticking, be ensure that there is enough space on your iphone.

When you are done selecting, click on the SYNC button at the bottom right. Happy Listening :D
