For every action, there is a reason behind it. And for that; Violence is not the solution.

For example,

If a child has become a nuisance, and has started breaking its mothers favourite china and being a stubborn little brat - parents nowadays would instantly hit them and put the child down. How do we know, that the child at school is being bullied? Or is anxious because he/she has done something wrong that wasn’t their fault because they are clumsy?

I think a child is brat - not because he or she does it on purpose, it is because the child is seeking attention or love or something that they want which they can’t have.

Another example,

If a child has seen a toy in the shops and she/she wants that toy, some children make a fuss in front of the whole society. Parents nowadays would have a right mind to beat that child when they get home - or give the child a right telling-off.

No child, under any circumstance, is a brat because he/she wants to make their parents lives a living hell. It is because they are troubled by something.

I believe even the odd slap or soft slap is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. You don’t want your child to respect u, or behave properly from a basis of fear and violence. You want your child to be able to come up to u and tell u every problem he/she has, and for u to be able to have a strong bond.

Now before u all ask, I kind of know what its like to be a parent. I am kind of a father figure towards my nieces. I feel this is brilliant opportunity to see whats it like to be a parent. My nieces are very playful and very tiring for 3 year olds!

They sometimes get a little agitated and sometimes become argumentative and stubborn. To counter this, I usually distract them with toys or use my amazing baby language to calm them down!

I know exactly what it’s like to have a screaming toddler or when kids do something which is totally wrong. But there are other ways of discipline.

I remember watching this programme, I think its called "kids behaving badly". It shows how u can discipline kids. They place kids into a "naughty corner" they called it. Where if the child has been misbehaving, the parent would place the child into a corner and isolate the child. I thought at first "Oh my God - this is horrible". But drastic situations do call for drastic measures. The child became more relaxed and started behaving.

This is just one example of non-violent punishments. There are many more.

So, in conclusion:

There are other ways of disciplinary actions to take. You as parents just have to decide within yourself, whether u want your child to love u out of fear, or to love u out of love - because the violence will turn the child upside down. The child may even decide to leave home! I know some children who wanted to move out their homes, I was one of those children.......

But I have grown to see other worse cases than my own of children getting beaten.

So, let me finish here and just remind u of my point:

Unfortunately....MSN has become a hackers dream!

One of me mates was hacking someone through MSN - I was there! - Oh the horror. He sent a code with a file that he had sent, which the person obviously accepted. After the guy had accepted his file, me mate could take his files and stuff!! Scary!!

So, my advice, MSN is cool, but unless u trust the person 100%... don’t accept any files!

Hey, this is nothing for u to worry about! There are so many opportunities and different paths for u to take! This is not the end of the world; u can still do Bio Science.

Here is what u can do:

1. u can retake the year

Remember, I know there are times where u wonder "where is God in my troubled times", especially during exam times.

But try and have a positive outlook on things, try and heed my advice and visit these sites, they may help u. But, if they don’t help, the world still wont end!

alright that's it mate... i m off in this debate.. good luck to you bringin unity in the panth by destroying sampardha's(lineages) which were created by guru themselves...

I already gave you references from gurbani- Gur Ki Morat Mann Mein Dhyan... it's a matter of interpertation now...some people take that tuk as shabad and bring shabad morat in to dhyan and some people bring guru's photo(saroop) in dhyan to reach upper levels... real simran is with dhuni no doubt... no one is denying that but to get to that level one needs to gur ki morat either - shabad akhar form /guru saroop form or bairat upsana form.. you decide... it's all individual choice...it's not always my way or highway.. if bringing shabad akhar forms helps in your case that does not mean it will help in everone's case...so one suggestion- live and let live.

everything is in hakum.. you, me, this universe..it's a human nature that whatever he/she wants ..he/she wants it to happen.. but hakum of nirankar does not hold to individual's desire or ideaology, beleifs.

Sants as nit avtars/karaks will come in this world for human benefit until this whole universe ends... neither you or me can't stop them coming... sants will also create future dera/asharam to spread sikhi of guru nanak dev nirankar...again neither you or me can stop that because they are send by nirankar themselves.. they don't need your support or my support ... only support they need is guru maharaj da support and gurparasad.

whatever you do .. just don't end up like that arashi gyani on tapoban who dreams of burning sants and their dera's even in his dreams..lol.

I found a site that explains the different techniques that Islam uses to win converts.

The website lead me to the conclusion that the mission of every Islam follower is to make the whole world Muslim. I was shocked the first time I saw this.

I found the website very informative, it uses bold quotes from the Koran and from Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji - and it speaks the truth!

There is just too much I can say, but it is better for u to look for yourself.

It's just shocking and sad, please show this website to everyone!

And to give it that final touch, try and make the text to be as a candle effect - a diva effect - the text to be fading into the background!

His presence will be missed. I have been playing Tabla for some time, and had the honour of having a lesson by him. He was a true saint.

However let us not grieve too much, as Gurmit Singh Ji is on the path of Judgment to gain his place into heaven.

Let us instead do Paath for him, which will help them cross the bridge with ease.

Most people would instinctively say that your mother, father, brothers and sisters and maybe your pet dog is your forefront family! Right?

But seriously we are all the children of the same Guru and God, we are all brothers and sisters walking hand in hand.

Guru Gobind Singh Ji's two younger sons gave their lives for what they believed in, because they would not give up their religion. To an ordinary non-sikh, hair is something that is cut off at the end of the week at their local barbers, but as we all know it was something so vital that from Guru Arjan Dev Ji onwards, would be the inspiration for the brave martyrs.

The two young brave soldiers did not think about the riches that would have been given for changing their faith, but instead thought about the well being of the millions of Sikhs who are living today.

So I say to you all, in a hostage situation will you save your family of six, or save your family in our millions?

Singh ji, i myself sometimes think that i am not leading a balanced life, i sometimes wonder if i have been following the true path; leading me closer to God.

U have done well for taking an interest into the warrior aspect of sikhi, but as u know there is the spiritual side to it aswell.

I am sure u have not lost your dignity and self-respect because you are a singh, and that alone speaks for itself!! :e:

You r not living your life for the outside world, u are living your life to do as much paath and seva as u can, to gain an eternity of peace and serenity in Sachkhand.

Whoever challenges Guru Gobind Singh Ji's son or daughter shall endure an eternity of living nightmares during their life, beyond our own imagination!!

We all know that life and the people within it will really test u, test u to the limit of bustin a head or two!!!

But to conquer this, u need to think about learning your paath.

DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF WAHEGURU.

People around u might be sayin "just do your paath" and i know that it will have gone straight through 1 ear, and out the other. But to conquer this incompleteness u must, as our sangat has been sayin, lead a balanced life. Only then will this dark cloud overhead, be sunny!!!

This, what i have been sayin will make your mind tough AND IT WILL STAY TOUGH!! :wub: @

But just remember, who will be sitting in peace in Sachkhand looking down at these souls who r living their lives again??? YOU WILL!!!
