  1. This is fictional scenario but possible fact in one of many conversations between Thatcher and Indira or govt advisers over the hotline / correspondence.

Indira: Margaret I need assistance maintaining unity of the Indian union so that we can continue trade relations

Margaret: What assistance do you require?

Indira: I need a plan to sort the Sikhs of Punjab out, they are demanding equal human rights, greater freedom and autonomy as promised by my father nehru to them prior 1947. They are carrying out huge peaceful agitations that are crippling us and succeeding

Margaret: Why not provoke them into doing something violent then? Why not kill a few of their peaceful protesters by police and army firing like we done in Northern Ireland with the Irish republicans

Indira: Why would I do that?

Margaret: It would then give you an excuse to crack down on them with the use of deadly force once they take up arms

Indira: Ah I see! Good idea lets do that!

The whole consipracy goes back to 1978, when Mrs. Gandhi created fake Nirankaris - Gurbachan Singh mocking and insulting Sikh Gurus and Sikh religion in the heart of Punjab - City of Amritsar - followed by peaceful protests by AKJ, and Sant Bhindranwale - followed by police firing on peaceful AKJ protestors leading to death of 18 AKJ members, case shifted to Karnal from the jurisdiction of Punjab. NO ACTION TILL DATE.

Although, Mrs. Thatcher became PM in May, 1979, the seeds for future conflict were already sown.

Can anybody comment on the personal wealth of Mrs. Thatcher, and does it reflect her earnings as a PM of UK?

  2. Its clear now that that Bluestar was a planned massacre , organised months or maybe years in advance. This makes Brar a war criminal , this information was not available to the Jury. Retrials happen when new evidence emerges. Maybe our many lawyers out there can assist.

True, and as a way of gesture OR whatever one might say, such as trying to heal some open wounds - Britain along with UN should declare Mr. Brar as a war criminal to be tried in World Court of Justice.

Blog: Margaret Thatcher's interest in aiding Operation Bluestar

    golden-temple-afp-650.jpg

    AFP

More than 1,000 people were killed in Operation Bluestar, the raid on the Golden Temple

Tom Watson is a Labour MP from West Bromwich East and has asked UK government to explain declassified documents that suggest Margaret Thatcher's administration offered Indira Gandhi help in planning military raid at Golden Temple in 1984.

The revelation that Mrs Thatcher secretly authorised the SAS to provide planning advice to the government of Indira Gandhi, in relation to the military action at Amritsar, has shocked many British citizens of Indian origin.

We do not know the extent of the support nor the logic behind it but a wider reading of the files, recently released by the British government, shines some light on the nature of top level discussions at the time.

It appears to me that the Thatcher government wanted to sell military equipment to the Gandhi administration.

The authorisation for SAS support was made in February 1984. Two months before this, a file note from 10 Downing Street to the Ministry of Defence reports on a top level discussion about the provision of military equipment to India. Mr Venkataraman, the then Indian Defence Minister held a "friendly and relaxed" meeting with Mrs Thatcher in Downing Street. Mrs Thatcher was to meet Indira Gandhi later that month in Delhi at the Commonwealth Heads of State meeting.

Could it be that Mrs Thatcher's eagerness to seal a defence equipment deal led to the decision to authorise SAS planning support for the military action in Amritsar?

One thing is certain: the truth needs to come out. It is beholden on another Conservative Prime Minister, David Cameron, to give a full explanation to Sikhs around the world, just exactly what Mrs Thatcher's government helped secretly plan and support.

The file note from 10 Downing Street:

I thought he would like to know the 'truth' by the investigation or probe he ordered. He surely admired the statement of Gen Brar that UK is 'clean'.

    DONE.

Danish woman gang-raped in Indian capital Delhi

Paharganj is a busy backpacker district

Police in the Indian capital Delhi are investigating the alleged gang rape of a Danish woman who lost her way near her city centre hotel.

The 51-year-old tourist was attacked by a group of men in the Paharganj area on Tuesday evening. Police say she was robbed and raped at knife point.

The woman flew out of India on Wednesday morning, police say.

Scrutiny of sexual violence in India has grown since the 2012 gang rape and murder of a student on a Delhi bus.

_65368389_north112x81.jpg Analysis Andrew North BBC News, Delhi

It's hard to imagine a worse headline for India's image abroad, after the battering it has taken over the issue of rape.

After the fatal assault on a Delhi student just over a year ago, the city has earned the unwelcome title "India's rape capital". The picture is not as bad as the media paints, Indian officials say. Other countries also have a rape problem, they protest.

But ever since the Delhi gang-rape case, the safety of women and the discrimination they suffer in Indian society has been in the spotlight. The Indian media just as much as the foreign media are giving the issue much more space.

And while the case involving the Danish woman is getting priority attention from the Delhi police, many say what's still needed is the justice system and Indian society in general to take the issue more seriously.

The government tightened laws on sexual violence last year after widespread protests following the attack.

But violence and discrimination against women remain deeply entrenched in India's staunchly patriarchal society.

The Danish woman told police that she approached the group of men after losing her way back to her hotel near New Delhi Railway Station.

The men robbed her of her belongings and raped her, police spokesman Rajan Bhagat told the BBC.

"She reached her hotel and reported the incident to the manager who called in the police and the investigation is now under way," Mr Bhagat said.

No arrests have been made yet, but police are questioning a number of men in connection with the attack.

"There was definitely involvement of more than one person in this episode. However, we shall disclose as to how many people we are looking for, at a later stage," Mr Bhagat said.

"The woman left India in the morning, on a flight she had booked earlier."

The Danish woman is believed to have been travelling alone and had been in Delhi since Monday after visiting the Taj Mahal, the BBC's Andrew North in Delhi reports.

Police say she gave a detailed statement in the presence of the Danish ambassador before leaving the country, AFP news agency reports. There was no immediate comment from the Danish embassy in Delhi.

Paharganj, a busy backpacker district frequented by foreign tourists, is located in the heart of the Indian capital, not far from Connaught Place.

Last March a Swiss tourist was gang raped and her partner attacked by a group of men in Madhya Pradesh state. Six men were jailed for life for the attack in July.

Since the December 2012 Delhi gang rape, the nation has been shocked by a string of brutal rapes of Indian women.

They include a photojournalist raped in broad daylight in central Mumbai, a 21-year-old woman raped by two apparently unrelated groups of men on Christmas Eve in Pondicherry and a 16-year-old girl who died after being gang-raped twice and then set on fire in the eastern city of Calcutta.

Although cases involving foreigners continue to get far more attention in the media and from the police, Indian women who are raped are still far less likely to receive justice, our correspondent says.

  6. Can we anticipate even USA and other western nation's involvement?

I have heard in the past that CIA was aware of 1984 November Sikh Genocide, and it was planned to happen irrespective of Mrs. Gandhi's assasination? Does Mrs. Sonia Gandhi knew much about it?

Is the information leakage happening for a specific purpose now? It is quite obvious that such information will not come in the public domain without any vested interests? What can these vested interests be, and whom/how they can serve? How is mighty of the mightiest?

It is very unfortunate to hear from Mr. Cameroon that he takes a comment from Mr. Brar as an acceptable comment, (which all of us know is nothing more than pure lie) rather than making a comment - let's wait for the full investigation report. This shows serious doubts over the intent of this investigation and a pre-mature investigation results which is being prepared.

It is also interesting to see NDTV posting the article (with Mr. Brar comments) with Mr. Brar picture still in stitches, 1 year after attack? I remember his stitches were removed as soon as he reached India, and there were no wounds or even signs of any wounds :).

What can Sikh's or Sikh organisations do, react emotionally, and make statements - "My VOTE is not for Tories"?

OR "Let's wait for the facts to be established".

    Various Options -

(a). FACTS Established say Britain gave design & planning assistance to India probably including the timing of this operation, "What can SIKHS DO". Do we have an answer to this question today?

(b). FACTS Established say Britain & Other Western Nations gave design & planning assistance to India probably including the timing of this operation, "What can SIKHS DO". Do we have an answer to this question today?

©. FACTS Established say Britain was not involved, Mrs. Thatcher was involved at a personal level and engaged SAS at a personal level. "What can SIKHS DO". Do we have an answer to this question today?

(d). An investigation report is prepared saying "Neither Britain NOR Mr. Thatcher personally was involved, these documents are not authentic". How many of us are going to believe this report? And what can be a subsequent action?

Any more options which anybody can think of? I know it is too early to anticipate the future developments, but I can blindly say whatever Mr. Brar says - just assume things happened 180degrees reverse of it ...

  7. If this lady Khobragade is so against the US, then why don't she take her family back to the third world country. She wants to live in the US, but wants to have slaves like she is in India. That is the mentality of powerful in India, and it is a shame that Indians are supporting her and not Ms. Richard .

Common Man of India is not supporting her, I posted a link above, read aam-aadmi comments :) ...

  8. Please read the comments section of this article - Even the Indians want her charged for Visa fraud and corruption in India ... :).

Devyani Khobragade fallout: Indian diplomats fear more US action, want change in visa status of domestic helps, say sources

All India | Reported by Nidhi Razdan, Edited by Nadim Asrar | Updated: January 12, 2014 16:10 IST

    devyani360x270.jpg

Devyani Khobragade at Foreign Ministry office on Saturday.

New Delhi: Stung by the India-US row over diplomat Devyani Khobragade and her help Sangeeta Richard, sources say the Foreign Ministry is now pushing the Finance Ministry to change the status of domestic workers who go to the US with Indian envoys.

Foreign Secretary Sujata Singh has met senior Finance Ministry officials in this regard, sources said.

Several Indian diplomats in the US are worried that the Americans will now act against them since their domestic helps also come on A3 visa like Ms Richards. The visa subjects them to US laws.

There are, according to sources, around 14 such 'ticking time bombs' in the US right now.

If the Foreign Ministry changes their status to Indian staffers, they will come under Indian law. The proposal requires clearance by the Finance Ministry.

Sources say some Indian diplomats may send back their domestic helps if the proposal is not cleared in the next few days.

Meanwhile, Ms Khobragade has moved a federal court in New York to dismiss the visa fraud case against her, saying there is lack of personal jurisdiction since she had been accorded full diplomatic immunity by the US Department of State. (Read)

Arrested on December 12, the 39-year-old diplomat was allegedly strip-searched and held with criminals, triggering a row between the two countries with India retaliating by downgrading privileges of certain category of US diplomats among other steps.

  9. Why hasn't this hindustani clown been banned yet? Its obvious he is anti Sikh and he has been exposed in numerous threads.

This also proves how secular and democratic a Sikh Forum is, (it allows posting of even Hindu terrorist views - read the justification why Babri Masjid was demolished :) ), this can even be seen historically, how democratic and secular KHALSA SARKAAR RAAJ was, run by Maharaj Ranjit Singh Jee!, and how democratic and secular the future Khalsa Raaj would be, unlike the Hindu media, and hindu comments section on their web sites, which don't post other side of the coin, and the Hindu Nation justification of Babri Masjid, burning of Churches, burning of Christians alive, raping nuns etc.

Has any Sikh organisation such as DSGMC spoke on this issue?

Has any Sikh organisation approached AAP?

  11. Hindustani - None of your questions hold any ground, all your questions are baseless, and replying to any of your questions or even discussing any serious subject matter with you is a waste of time, this is my final post of any such reply to you. You lost your credibility when you stated that 76 HINDUS WERE GUNNED DOWN By supporters or by Mr. Bhindranwale WHEN WATCHING RAMAYANA TELECASTED IN 1981? This implies what your intent in India is - provoke ignorant masses to carry out genocide of innocent minorities based on false and imaginative data.

Watching Ramayana and watching Raam-Leela are 2 different things.

    WHY HINDUS DEMOLISHED BABRI MASJID?

WHY HINDUS BURNING CHRISTIAN PEOPLE AND CHURCHES IN ORRISA?

    TIME TO FIX HINDU TERRORISM.
