Hi. it costs alot in the hundred and thousands and for sikh channel i think a million. It cost 40 grand (40 thousand) to broadcast the channel. they pay sky 40 thousand. and that for broadcasting then it cost 100 thousand to make the material then the saleries of the camera crew and they hae two studios and that cost alot of money. Thats why they depend on the sangat for direct debits and that.

How do you account for our 'Sikh' brothers and sisters back in Panjab who indulge in these kind of relationships? How much Eastenders do they watch? :wink2:

I'd say that - if anything - these issues are a lot more sinister back home because they are done in secret. Not to say that because people are a bit more upfront about these shenanigans in the west, that somehow makes it right. I'm not saying that at all. But you must know that there's a lot of clandestine affairs and relationships occuring between our Sikh bretheren back in Panjab.

For example, a lot of these Indian students who come over to the UK or Australia for study reasons, end up finding their own partners for marriage - usually on the same course. These people have been brought up in India amongst Sikhs and the associated culture yet they - as bold as brass - tell their parents not to find a boy/girl for them because they've already found someone whilst studying. There's countless examples not just limited to students but people who reside in Panjab / India on a permanent basis. I'm sure we've heard the horror stories.

So, it's not a case of it's worse over here because we're somehow drowning in western culture. It's nothing to do with east or west. It's simply the hedonistic, morality-free times we live in. Kaljug, if you will. :smile2:

there are some fake sants who have associated themselves with nanaksar –(this is no secret), but we must not dismiss the fact that a number of great mahapurash are correctly acknowledged by the nanaksar (and wider) sikh sangat (the most prominent being sant baba nand singh ji).

in my view it is wholly inappropriate for any Sikhs to diss nanaksar. nanaksar sikhs have limitless respect for gurbani sahib and Guru Granth Sahib ji maharaj. in general they are very pious and very devoted to bhagti and gurbani. Nanaksar gutka's contain sampooran nitnem bani's.

i dont know much about sant nahar singh but i do know that any sikhs who diss nanaksar need their heads testing. Rather then diss nanaksar by saying 'true amritdharis are against them', focus your mind on your own bhagti or if this is too hard, spread awareness against the real poisonous fake deras and not organisations those that promote 'sabh sikhan ko hukam hai guru manio granth'.

I am not anti nanaksar if you know about Guru Nanak Academy in UK. The school is founded by the Sant Baba Amar Singh Ji who was a sewak of Sant Baba Isher Singh Ji. If you read the pose before i did i said Sant Baba Nand Singh Ji is a true saint. And the post aboe the person said that why do we need Sants. I replied that Sants guide you and some Sants are Fake and Some Sant are true

I am amazed at this

How can people be so misgided.

I was born a Sikh but only now i am seriously thinking of becoming a true Sikh, but when i read up about people like this i begin to lose faith.

I have familly that are Nanaksar believers and some other relatives that are are totally against them(they are true Amritdaris)

I for one only want to follow our Gurus teaching and not be influenced by sects that are out there only to twist things for their own financial benefits.

I am surprised that no one really stands up and critisizes these pakandi's.

Again my question is WHY do our people need living sants that they treat as their Gurus to recieve peace of mind?

well bhaji it's because Sants guide you there are fake and true one's. They are here to help the panth not to cause the panth to collapse. Look at Guru Nanak School in Hayes. It was opened like 19 years ago and now it is one of the Leading Schools in the UK. people judge without nowing the real truth or imfo.

nanaksar isn't a sect they are very devout people who belive in the GGS and and sikh teachings. Sant Baba Nand Singh Ji and Sant Baba Isher Singh Ji were mahapursh and sants. If you think that Nanaksar is a sect well visit Nanaksar or vistit Guru Nanak School Hayes. And then you find your answer. if you go to the Guru Harkishan School in Punjab The Guru Grant Sahib is kept in the smallest room. For the people who thinks it's a sect read book about the great Sants. And then you will be shocked

i think that people are more imvolved in the western culture and watch programmes such as Eastenders(UK) which promote the idea of cohabtion ( when a male and a female live together without marriage) as you people are doubting the Guru's and some doubting GOD. In the UK we have this gangster culture going on and people are getting away from sikhi. If we go back 50 years or even 30 years ago we see that there was less coruption. And people were more attached to their faith and there culture. But now i see amritari's having girlfriends. It's disgraceful. Do you agree?

everybody knows the answer to this question about boyfriend and girlfriend.... but do we still engage in it?? yes. its not a matter of knowing what is right and what is wrong. its a matter of actually walking down that road rather then talking about it. people know whats right and whats not, but they still choose to do whatever they want. but eventually it will catch up to us in the end, it always does.

its kaljug, and only getting worse as time passes. so everything started with good intentions between relationships, most likely, not 100%, but majority of the time ends up with complications involving lust. most people will agree.

I know people say it's bad becuase it lust. but there is a difference between love and lust. The problem is that there is a person or a teacher that i know is doing wrong parchar to the panth he is saying that mukti is the purpose of life and once you have obtained mukti you are in paradise. Do we have Sikh body representation in U.N? or if not Sikh body just Sikh in UN?

No point creating petitions(waste of time), lobbying to mps ( not very effective) to push 1984 as genocide or exposing human right abuses in India and else where when we don't have presence in UN.

We seriously need to get our priorities straight. We need to start looking things from western media perspective in order to push agenda of 1984 riots as genocide. I am not a real life activist as I cannot commit to it (my weakness) but i try as much i can when it comes to online activism.

Some people who have written to mps and there is no reply some people have done rallies and still there is no justice.
