  1. ENCARTA DICTIONARY OF NORTH AMERICA STATES THE MEANING OF GENOICDE AS:

"the systematic killing of all the people from a national, ethnic, or religious group, or an attempt to do this"

But is it recognised as a genocide? Do the UN call it so? Western governments? I feel we are are own worst enemies when we go around saying it was. Its kind of like saying the moon is green - until everyone agrees with that statement you risk alienating people who would look at you like a common fool.

  2. All this talk about UK law and what is beadbi or not - everyone is forgetting another problem.

How would those apes that ruined the reputation of sikhi feel if someone went into their home, slapped women up, spill daal and smashes the place up?

What im saying is the people who hired the hall for a function - you ruined their party. Whether you agree with whats going on or not you should not have attacked people who just hired a hall to celebrate a family function or whatever. Cowards.

  3. Some interesting points here.

I somehow disagree that sikhs outside India know more about 1984 than those in India, Its kind of like saying those of British decent living in foreign lands and have never stepped foot in the UK know more about what is happening right here and right now.

Also what do you mean about being pro-sikh? Are you suggesting that if you dont believe in khalistan then you are not pro-sikh?

  4. I totally agree with you, if only people go and visit and see for themselves, they will see no difference to any other gurdwara. We go to respect the holy Guru Granth Sahib Ji.

The Gurdwara does not belong to a particular caste, we think it does by the name of the gurdwara but it is open to all sikhs. Ive visited handsworth Gurdwara and there is no difference.

We need to stop getting into a hindu tradition of caste, We as sikhs now follow this tradition more than hindus and we say we are proud sikhs. We criticise sikhs from different backgrounds because we say they do things differently. If you go back home to punjab, india depending on which part of punjab you goto there is a slight difference in traditions, rituals or even the language punjabi. We should just respect everyone and stop getting into silly debates.

Chamar from punjab are mainly all Sikhs, like many other sikh castes. I know sikhs in this country who have converted to christianity, islam and sikhs who have families who still today follow many hindu traditions. They also don't call themselves sikhs yet they were born in sikh families.

Isn't the idea to become a better sikh yourself than worrying about the next person.

Spoken like a true chamar lol, let me tell you most chamars in india have hindu names and there is more chamars outside punjab then there is inside. They are not sikh, the only way they call themselves sikhs is because in history when your ancestors were working on our farms during the census we counted your lot as sikhs - even though we disagree with your ways, but the opportunity came to use your numbers to boost our political power rather than your lot saying your christian, hindu, muslim or whatever you beleive.

  5. Hahaha

Idol worshipping, meat eating, drinking etc anything against rehet maryarda and you still think that is sikhism? Then you have the nerve to try and say because I myself dont go against the rehet maryarda im an RSS or whatever. You make me laugh. Then you come on this site and refer to a bhagat as guru? lol

You admit your chamar and now your lecturing me about sikhism? How dare you! Now understand this and take the message home - A dog born in a stable is not a horse.

  6. And Pakistan will accede to the demand for western punjab, the most fertile and the wealthiest province in pak ... Wishful thinking or did you mean lets just demand irrespective of whether pak agrees or not

Well isnt this what we are demanding from India? Pakistan is no where as powerful as India!

  7. I would say most non-jat castes disagree with khalistan, it is understandable as jatts make up what 10% of punjab population? How would the bhuddists, hindus, christians and all other non sikh communities in Punjab feel if the land under their feet is grabbed? Soon or maybe even now with immigration from other states, emigration out of state and conversions the sikh population of punjab will not even be 50%?

I feel for khalistan to have any real basis and credibility then we got to demand from pakistan the area where our great Guru Nanak was born....then that is what you call a real homeland

  8. Majority of Guru Ravidas Gurdwara do follow the Khalsa Panth, the Gurdwara that dont are Ravidassis who have a separate agenda. We should try to separate these two religions. Guru Ravidas Sikh Temples follow the Guru Granth Sahib Ji and Ravidassis follow the Amrit Bani. We first need to understand this before we put the whole chamar community under one basket.

I think you will find the majority of Ravidassia temples do not follow the khalsa panth or the rehet maryarda. If you ever seen these places they have some next symbol up instead of the khanda on the flags outside.

Why should we try separate this community? You cant call these temples Guru Ravidass 'sikh' temples as the sangat is not 'sikh', most have hindu sounding names/surnames. Also saying Guru Ravidass is incorrect as we sikhs beleive he was not a guru - he is bhagat. You sound like a choora/chamar indysinghj are you? - dont try changing sikhism! These Ravidassia are not sikh by their actions, ways and how they worship. Its people like you who are polluting our belief. If your choora/chamar then to become a sikh you must reject these temples and go to a proper sikh temple and do things the right way - but I warn you that we will not accept any nonsense like you been talking.

The only advantages I can think off if we do split this community is that then the temples can come under our control - donations from the ravidassia sangat can raise more finances for us sikhs, the land of their temples would boost our assets. We can audit them every so often to make sure they are doing things right etc.
