I just wanted to ask the sangat's own experience in the real world:

I have found that a lot of sikhs who are amrithdhari still hold a lot of regard for the caste system, eg be it jat, ramgarhia etc...

Especially when it comes to marriage proposals. People say such and such is a really good family, educated, good morals, amritdhari etc .... and then go on to ask the cast of the other party and then say that they are only strictly looking for a match of the same cast.

In living our lives in a practical sense (as our Gurus have taught us to live our lives in the Sikh way) I feel that we are way off. Even the new generation of sikhs seems to put a lot more importance on cast and much less on Sikhi!!

I don't understand why this has happened on all of the keertan shabads I have downloaded, as it misses part of the shabad when listening to it.

Anybody have any ideas as to what could be wrong?

When downloading Keertan files from the internet onto my PC and then playing them, there always seem to be a few places within the audio file where it jumps and missses parts of the shabad.

However if I play the shabad directly from the link (without downloading it) it will play perfectly.

Does anybody know how I can solve this problem.
