  1. Whats up,

The Optimum Gold Standard Whey is extremely popular and is one of the better quality proteins available. I emailed them about the meat issue and this is what they said:

Thank you for choosing Optimum Nutrition to help you create your bigger

picture. Yes, our 100% Whey Gold Standard is suitable for

lacto-vegetarians (those vegetarians who can consume dairy products).

The only animal derived ingredient within our product is the whey itself

which comes from cow's milk. The rennet that we use in the

manufacturing process is either fungally and/or synthetically derived.

So it seems to be ok. I found this place to sell it for the cheapest: http://www.fitnesson...5-lb-p-216.html

    gud luck!

  3. ^ I agree man... most people don't just wear hoodies for protection against rain. They wear it cuz its "cool". This is the halat of youth. they care so much about raising their status (acting cool) they forget about sikhi. Understand this people, sikhi isn't about acting cool. isn't about wearing expensive nike, rebok clothes. sikhi is bout impressing no one but the guru. not your gay <admin-profanity filter activated> friends.

I agree wit budha singh, this exists at all ages. When you grow up you will still be tryin to "raise your status". Not by acting cool this time, but by earning more money. hopefully you realize this b4 its too late.

  4. Anything done out of LOVE is important and helps. Anything done just out of fear or ritualism is wrong and affects u in a wrong way.

Remember, its doesn't matter what u do, the only thing which matters is ur intention and purity.

    vaheguru!

this is why i love balwinder singh blush.gif

hsi answer is always the same to almost every question, AND he's always right... it's always about the love and sharda...

remember that Satguru Nanak Dev Ji's goal was to rid the Sikhs of practicing mindless rituals . these would be rituals with no intention, no sharda, no bhavna, no meaning, no real results, no focus. nothing. no substance.

when guru sahib ji's saroop is treated with a fan, and blankets, or what not.. IF it's being done beacuse it's an act of love, respect, admiratoin... then it's not a mindless ritual... there's no balck and white line... what is too much, what isn't.. such a line doesn't exist, because people do CRAZY things when love is the influence... and, especially when it's love directed to The One, then, that's true love... when you're "jurdiya hoya" with the Big Man....then saachi preet hum tum sio jorri, and anything you do is an expression of love for Him.

    nice replies! :TH:

  5. This is an interesting topic that I have grappled with for many years. More than most of you lucky people who have an ingrained faith in the indescribable being.

Firstly, science is not in competition with God, but it tries to explain physical phenomena. This comes about to aid human beings and to satisfy our natural thirst for knowledge. God, if you believe in it must have given us that curiosity, so science is his gift.

Secondly, I saw this documentary that predicts the advances in computing and artificial intelligence will within 30 years lead to machines that are more intelligent than us. They will then have the ability to think above our level and may create machines many times their own intelligence, and so on a nd so forth. Ultimately, the scientist descirbed them as "Gods". I think what he meant was they woudl have infinite intelligence compared to us. Maybe these beings will lead us to a "scientific" answer to God and there will at last be the universal truth behind religion that will cure all the world's problems!

Or the robots take over and this means God doesn't need us, and this will prove we are not as closely connected to God as we thought, or alternatively, there is no God as we understand it today.

Thirdly, God is what you believe. I don't think anyone has a right to tell others what to believe, but we all have a right to believe that what we believe is the truth....so long as we don't hurt others, especially in teh name of religion.

I dont think that is possible. Will the robots have a mind? If yes...will they be affected by kaam, krodh, lobh, moh, hankar? Ok science is advanced....but i dont think we can create an artificial mind!

If it is possible...and their intelligence is "infinite" compared to ours...i bet they will remember God 24/7 cuz thats the intelligent thing to do. :D

  6. TORONTO VIGIL DATE have been announced to be on NOVEMBER 11th .. more details will be announced soon!

Is this to coincide with Remembrance Day?

11th day of the 11th month.

As this is a Saturday, hopefully you will have a massive turnout of Sikhs and non-Sikhs.

We are planning European-wide events on the 11th and 12th November in Belgium.

ya november 11 is rememberance day... I dont think this is a good idea...people are going to think we are remembering people that died in WW1 and WW2 instead of 1984!

  7. Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa

    Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh

. Singha, you know am right, so therefore your saying dont combine, sikhi is not a mere thing, you have to combine them all and become a khalsa.

Hardeep Singh, I agree with you we should combine everything and become Khalsa. By this i mean, care for your outer appearance (not gelling beard, and keeping it natural), as well as caring for your inside (naam simran etc). What i meant by saying dont combine them is dont bring them both up in this topic, just stick to discussing one. lets not say our outside doesn't matter if our inside is dirty, just discuss why you think gelling is right or wrong.

Now, you have told us all tying the beard is ok...but u still haven't told us why gelling is.... The topic is about gelling not tying. We can talk about tying in another topic. Its ironic, no one has yet given a reason why they think gelling is ok, maybe they dont want to admit they only do it to impress females.

I dont want to get into a deep discussion either. just tell us why you think gelling is ok, i have told you why i think it is wrong in my previous post.

    Vaheguru Ji ka Khalsa

    Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh

  8. Again, you can gel all you want, you can keep it flowing at free will, but if you dont wash your insides with "NAAM", then your beard will do nothing for you and that is utter truth, and dont make random silly comments.

Remember what the hindus were doing, they were trying to wash their sins in the water and Guru ji put them right, in this respect its the same, having a beard and committing sins, wont hellp you in the long runm, having the khalsa attire, keeping away from KAM KRODH LOB MOH HANKAR is the best gift one can have.

    FULL STOP!

Let me give you an example, a true life example, GHAGGA with his flowing beard and yet committing sins. The other example is "Jogi" with their flowing beards, when Mardhana was hungry, and Guru ji said ask the Jogis to give you food, he did but they Said If your Guru is so good tell him to give you some, so Guru ji did and guess what? Well Guru ji said to mardhana, Oh mardhaniya shake the tree and any fruit that falls please consume, on the right hand side the fruit was so sweet and the fruit that dropped on the side of the "jogis" was sour.

    Tells you doesnt it.

    Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa

    Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh

First of all, why would anyone want to gel their beards other than the reason they want to impress? the only person we should want to impress is our beloved Guru Ji. Does our Guru Ji like us more if we gel our beards? No. Keep your beeard as natural as possible cuz thats how our Guru Ji likes it, and please stop trying to impress the wrong people! gelling your beards is pure manmat!

Hardeep singh, you are a little confused. You are right that we should be pure from the inside. But you say that our outside appearance doesn't matter at all, if our inside is dirty! these are two aspects of sikhi. Dont combine them by saying one aspect is nothing if you dont have the other. We should be practicing both, inside and outside. Please stick to the topic!
